  1. Roll the dice I guess or don't buy from them. I've never had an issues buying on here. Other than that there really isn't any protection.
  2. I mean, I could probably 3d print a housing, throw a mini mag lite in there and surround it with tungsten rods. Would add like 6-10 oz and cost like 100 bucks. I wasn't really thinking about doing that until now......
  3. Or just wrap a light in tungsten rods. How long until someone makes a light that holds tungsten weights?
  4. It really depends on if there is nothing else around you that you could use. I like 15 minutes from my club and it makes it easier to take a long lunch and go shoot quickly. But if I had nothing near me, I would drive the 1.5 hours if I had to but would likely only live fire once a month then and dry fire more.
  5. Put the magnet to the tip of the bullet and if it sticks then the bullet is steel, if not you're likely fine. If in doubt, shoot it somewhere that wouldn't be adversely impacted by a steel Bullet.
  6. Maybe that should be the 3 divisions, unlimited, limited, and stock.
  7. It's not just open that has a limit but rather every other division. So it's an argument of PCC vs the rest. I couldn't care less either way but it does pose an interesting question as the mag lengths have gotten pretty ridiculous. I fully see at some point setting a maximum.
  8. The argument is, why does one division have no capacity or length limits when all the other divisions do? The answer is likely that PCCs are out there doing their own thing and the standard rules aren't applied to them.
  9. You could always size a couple cases, gauge them, and then load a regauge the same cases. That will tell you right off the bat that if the sized cases don't gauge then it's a sizing issue. But if they gauge after sizing but not after loading then it's on to trouble shooting a few different things like oal, crimp, crooked bullet, etc.
  10. There is a 3d printed one on Thingiverse I'm going to try to build, looks promising. I got a couple 3d printers and need something to make anyways lol.
  11. I went gen 5 for no grooves and plan to grind them off my gen 4 and do a silicon carbide grip. The glock ecosystem is really hard to leave once you're sucked in.
  12. I have a 34.5 and 17.4, it's tempting but as long as they ship this month I'll be fine since it's still crappy out but it's warming up soon.
  13. And the wait begins lol. I'm almost wondering if I just get one for my gen 4 while I'm waiting for the gen 5s to ship.
  14. I'll likely Stick to CO it's that alpha glock trigger is as good as they say it is. Have a gen 5 preordered and will pick one up for my gen 4 production gun if I like it. For all the new rule changes, I like the mag pouch one the best. I was looking at getting back to limited but saw I have 10k 9mm bullets and only 2k of 40 so I'll likely burn through my 9mm this year.
  15. Other than the fact that membership growth is the metric being used to judge leadership, probably not. Sometimes orgs get stuck on metrics that have always been used even if they are no longer valid (or maybe they are). Most the matches around here fill up pretty fast, so more people trying to shoot won't matter much if there are no available slots.
  16. I feel like if the org wanted to get new shooters in, they would just gear production towards legit production guns and let round counts mirror what factory mags are. Buy your glock/xd/caniks/etc and compete in production that weekend with the couple mags that came with your gun. But that's an argument that has been beat to death already and we are past anything like that ever coming back. I would hope the org has data points that drive these rules changes based on what new shooters actually want instead of the seemingly random changes to attract new shooters that may or may not actually be working. I wonder tho, are we going to see an announcement next week saying X company is now the official WML sponsor of USPSA and the rule change was all about that sponsorship money?
  17. So what's the over/under on just 2 divisions, dot or no dot? 5 years? 10 years?
  18. Thanks for the update. I pre ordered the Gen 5 trigger and am hoping to have by early April.
  19. Pretty sure you guys just cost me more money.... After dealing with stock glock triggers the past few years I finally bought some connectors and springs to play with and then I see the Alpha. Going to at least buy it for my Gen 5 34 CO gun and leave the other stuff in the parts bin for now.
  20. I thought it was a great article and the overall theme is something I think all of us could do better with. I know I finally broke down and bought a timer vs convincing myself the app on my phone worked fine. I need to better track my practice and progress with critical data and not 'looks better' type of practice. Construction criticism, I'm not sure if there is an editor reviewing your article at all but I saw a few incorrect words (what vs want) a few areas where words appeared to be missing that would connect the content a little better and a few areas that could flow a little better. I thought overall it was well thought out and I know how hard it can be to spot errors in your own work. Half of what I do is presenting reports to clients that are reviewed by 3-4 people and I'll still catch things after I issue a report that we all missed. Can't wait for your next article!
  21. I was waiting to buy an Evo for that new primer system and now I'm stiluck with only the apex as my buying option, good, bad, or otherwise. I think it looks promising, the cast doesn't bother me since dillons are as well.
  22. I finally got around to printing and using this. On a stock glock trigger you have no break and the pull weight is about a pound less but it does allow the trigger to be repeatedly pulled. Thanks for designing this!
  23. Check out walmart? I've got an igloo soft sided lunch box about that size where the top is a zippered pocket. Bought it probably 5 years ago.
  24. I shoot 9 minor as well but would be nice to cull out the garbage head stamps. I also just like to tinker so after I make the 550 case feeder I'm hoping the sorter will be ready to demo.
  25. He is completely bought but still have in depth reviews.
