  1. You cant go wrong with a Brazos. I have 3 and all are great guns that run 100% www.brazoscustom.com
  2. I have seen the same thing. It is the trigger safety lever spring. the little spring that is in the trigger that works the safety lever in the trigger pad. It is to strong and causes the trigger safety to drag on the frame.
  3. Take a look here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KJrA7wMXuuQ
  4. I use N105 in a Brazos open in 38sc. I use 10.3 gr with a 125 HAPS set to 1.235 oal. This gives me 171-172 pf I also use Winchester srp
  5. I DID NOT TELL YOU THIS, but when I get upside down primers I pull the bullet dump the powder and then put the brass back in the press and SLOWLEY push the primer back out. ALWAYS wear glasses. I even reuse the primers for practice loads.
  6. The extra power trigger spring can cause this when you also run a reduced power striker spring. I would try putting the factory trigger spring in. The guide rod and 15# spring should be fine. I run the same setup but with a 13# recoil spring, this is in a G34
  7. Why not post Charlie's web sight link here so we all can see the pictures.
  8. Yes be carefull of the hammer follow. it can get you in trouble
  9. If you are going to pull a couple of bullets then the hammer type is fine. If you need to pull a lot then the press mounted is great. I have the RCBS mounted on a single stage press and had to pull 350 rounds, Is was a breeze and took me about 30 min. The RCBS is easy to adjust simple and fast.
  10. Changing from small to large primers is easy. Takes me about 10 min. if that. The primer punch is easy to change as long as you have the tool that came with the press.
  11. Check the indexer stop screw. I had to adjust mine because it was not indexing far enough. The manual does not show or cover this. There is an adjustment at the left rear of the press.
  12. I load 10.4 in a supercomp case with 125 haps for 171 to 172 pf
  13. I have used the cr speed for open and limited for 3 or 4 years now. Never droped a gun yet. I dont feel it is unsecure at all. Just like anything which ever one you pick learn it inside and out and you wont have any trouble.
  14. look here http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/0901.htm
  15. I would get the HP edge and shoot it until the custom gets here. When you get the custom you can sell the HP or keep it for a backup.
  16. If you are using the high grip thumbs forward and the G34 extended slide release that is problem. Take the slide release off and replace with aG17 model. You can also bump the release and lock the slide back with rounds still in the mag.
  17. I use the Brazos tuned mages. They have grams guts and dawson snl pads. I get 23 reloadable all day long.
  18. Brazos has a tuned extractor that work great. I have them in my guns.http://www.1911store.com/extractorbcg-proseriesperformancetuned.aspx
  19. I have tried all types of grips. factory, stippled, undercut, double undercut, grip tape, you name it. What I use now and like the best is the factory sti grip with pro grip lotion. Some have been to sharp or grip the hand to good so you cant adjust on a bad draw. I like to hold the gun not the gun hold on to me.
  20. I use 10.4 gr of N105 with the Hornady 125 HAPS at 1.235 oal and win. small rifle primers. This is super comp Makes 172pf
  21. I use winchester primers with the factory striker and wolff light spring. Have around 8,000 rounds and not 1 light strike. I use Marine spring caps and I think that is the trick. I have set up 2 guns that way and neither has hade a light strike. I have even used CCI primer and all have fired.
  22. This post is almost 3 years old, I wonder how many people have changed what holster they use. There is aslo the new holster from Manny that is not on the list. Is there any way you can change your vote?
  23. I went from a 650 to a 1050. The 650 is a good press but the 1050 is better. After a loading session my arm does not fell like it got a workout, the 1050 is smoother. Yes it cost more for caliber conversions but it is worth it to me. I have 4 diffrent caliber conversion kits and mr bullet feeder conversions for all. If you have the extra money get the 1050
  24. I have 3 Brazos you cant go wrong with a Brazos.
  25. I got a sti sentry in feb and it has the old style recoil master and machined barrel.
