  1. I use 50/50 of water and simple green. works great on barrel and comp
  2. The Hornady Haps 125 are .356
  3. I use the 230 haps in single stack. I have used both N320 and Clays Both have been very good for me in the 45acp. N320 I use 5.0 gr and the Clays I use 4.1 gr. Both seated to 1.230 oal. I will use both, it just depends on which power I have on hand.
  4. I dont use the 115 but My load is N105 10.4 grans, oal 1.235, wsr primers with hornady haps 125. This is with a Brazos open with 4 popple holes. I get 172-173 power factor. I dont see any pressure signs with this load. The dot trackes very well. It does not leave the c-more lens.
  5. Right handed and left eye dominate. I just move the gun a little bit to the left to line up with my eye. You can also turn your head to the right a little bit to line the sight up. I also think are host here Brian is right handed and left eye dominate, that has not hurt him any. A little practice and you wont even notice.
  6. I would look at the Brazos HP edge. That was the first limited gun I bought and I had no trouble with it. It ran perfect from day one.
  7. I went from a 650 to a 1050 and could not be happier. If money is not a problem get the 1050. When I load 40 all I run the brass through the push through die GRX on a single stage press and then load normal on the 1050 with dillon dies. I dont have any trouble anymore. I dont even case gauge and have not had any trouble in about 10,000 rounds.
  8. N320 5.0 gr 230 hornady haps 1.230 oal .470 crimp This gives me a 172 pf from a sti sentry.
  9. Look here http://brazoscustom.com/Home.htm Not sure what you want being new to the 2011, you could get the HP edge. shoot it for a while to see what you want and then get it built. If it takes 6 month to a year fine keep shooting the HP edge and when the new gun arrives sell the HP edge or keep for a backup.
  10. Is this the new style from DAA if so put a rubber band around the spring and the powder measure tube to hold in place
  11. I use N105 and small rifle primers. That was what the gun builder said to use, and I have not had any trouble. I also use the same primer in my 40 limited load.
  12. I use Cr Speed mag pouches for years and have no complaints. I use them for Open, Limited, production, and Single Stack with spacers.
  13. I use the swagger for the primer pockets but I only have it set to go about have way in the primer pocket, no swagging. I do this so I know if the primer was removed in the resizeing stage. Someimes the primer sticks to the punch and it pulls it back into the pocket. You will fell this at the swagging station so you can remove the brass before you try cramming a new primer in on the old primer.
  14. I like the 8moa for everything. Never had it wash out in the florida sun.
  15. Yes you are correct. Black box is match ammo. I was just wondering what it is like. I have not shot any.
  16. I have a line on some atlanta arms and ammo 38 sc match ammo black box. Does anybody know what kind of powder they use. I tried calling but they are to busy and have not called back. I use N105 now and if it close to that I could use them for practice.
  17. NO. I use the Brazos tuned extractors in both my limited and open guns and have never had any trouble. Runs 100%
  18. I just picked up a new Sentry in 45 to shoot single stack. I like how the gun shoots but was thinking of doing a couple of changes. I am putting a wilson mag release with button on the gun. what is the factory main spring weight. Also if I want to replace the recoil master what is the spring weight of the heavy recoil master.
  19. Check to see if the overtravel is set to tight. Look here http://www.brazoscustom.com/magart/0407.htm
  20. I had a RF100 and no matter what I did I would get about 3 per 100 flipped primers and would have to pull them apart. I just went back to filling up 10 pickup tubes before I started loading. I liked the RF and would use it again if I coud keep the primers from flipping. It was the new unit with the adjustible speed. I would spend more time pulling loaded rounds than it would take to fill primers tubs.
  21. I have shot both. To me there is not a big difference I shoot both about the same. I have tryied stippling and grip tape. I dont like eather. the grip I shot now is a factory grip with a single under cut only. I dont like the gun stuck to my hand, I like to be able to adjust my grip if I need to and grip tape or stippling makes that harder to do. All I use is progrip lotion.
  22. Go to BE venders tent section and look under Freedom Gunworks there is one for 40 but the idea shold be the same.
  23. I switched to open last Feb. I shoot 38sc I dont mind picking up brass. After I reload the brass several times I load them up for major matches. I mark my brass so I get most of it back. To me crying about brass price in a custom open gun is like buying a Ferrari and crying about using premium fuel.
  24. I have 3 Brazos they all run 100% Get the Brazos you wont regret it.
