  1. Jeff, What division were you shooting in? ESP or SSP?? All, It comes from the factory with the extended mag release; why do you have to take it off? I shoot IDPA EX.
  2. Jeff,

Where was the Shadow 2 work done for IDPA SSP?  Instead of buying another gun (Walther SF), I'd like to lighten my S2 to play across the games.

    Thanks,

    Bob Curry

  3. Maybe try a new barrel?
  4. It's only money, spend it!!
  5. I had a few 10s laying around and instead of buying new springs cut 2 coils off one and shot it. It feels real good, cycles the gun with different ammo, and is still in there after 5000 rounds. I also use the slim buffer.
  6. Take it apart first, learning the guts and interactions, and polish everything. Shoot it stock for awhile before spending $$. Springs will be all you need when you are ready. I run for springs; 11.5 hammer, 9 RSA, extended CZC firing pin with their lightened FP spring, and CGW TRS with their trigger pin. After all the polishing, less than 6lbs DA and 2.3lbs SA. Very nice weapon to shoot!
  7. I'm like Tok36, what is the coolfire kit? Website or something?? Oh, I see it's a CO2 training kit? I thought you were playing with live ammo! Now I don't think you have a problem with your S2.
  8. Just do it. If you don't, you will always be second guessing your decision!
  9. I found the 16 rounders drop freer and faster for me in the S2. YMMV.
  10. Found it on CZC website.
  11. This 147g: http://blackdotammunition-com.3dcartstores.com/9mm-147gr-cartridges-br-1000-ROUND-CASE_p_16.html Makes 129-131PF in my S2. I don't reload and these are awesome folks!! This is my match ammo.
  12. Has anyone added an adjustable rear to the P10-C? If so, what is your setup?
  13. Got the upper and mag block a few months ago as a package and couldn't be happier! Mates right up with my 24C trigger.
  14. That's a very nice looking gun!! Congrats.
  15. It is the one you want to shoot! I practice my draw stroke with 5lbs dumbbells at work. Solid. All you need to do is change some springs (recoil, trigger, and hammer) and maybe a little polishing. I've added an aftermarket disconnector, etc, and prefer the stock setup.
  16. What the others have said and make sure the FP channel is clean!
  17. Both my Shadows auto forward with +5-10% springs and a little work to the slide stop. No problem getting the round to chamber. The auto forward works well for IDPA (the slide lock game) and I want my Shadow 2 to also do that just in case I loose track of the round count in production.
  18. The 75 Shadow (39oz) can play in both games. I have the short dust cover version and it has a real nice balanced feel. The Shadow 2 (46.5oz) is a great blaster for production but is too heavy for IDPA. I play in both games and use the 75 Shadow as my backup to the Shadow 2 in production. I shoot 147g in the 75 and 124g in the S2. I keep the same internal parts and triggers in both guns. Mags are compatible across the board too.
  19. $581 shipped vs $1500+ kept me from the JP or others. Money saved for ammo or a good optic and extended base pads. I'm in it for fun not a national championship.
  20. To keep any mag issues from happening, I also installed the SS mag break from CZC. It's also in my 75 Shadow. I switched to the slick metal 16 round mags with Springer base pads and relegated the 17 MecGars to backup duty. They pop out real well! Try a dry spray coating up in the magwell and spray on the mags. I use a sailing product called SailCoat. Spray on, wipe it down, and watch the mags drop.
