  1. The latest versions do seem to be better. I had a version 3 with 8 min. dot run last summer/fall without any issue's. They may be past version 3 already but I don't know of anyway from the outside to tell what you have. I'm sure C-More can tell from the serial number. Whatever you go with make sure you have a back-up. Even the older SL and Slide rides have had issue's with lens, dimmer pots, and staying zero'd.
  2. I'm surprised one of you guys haven't set-up the CNC machine with some billet aluminum and made some high end units yet.
  3. Maybe he's working up some IPSC loads. I guess they still have the bullet weight limit.
  4. Seems like it's really a gun to gun trial and test. And if your willing to do more cleaning of your gun. You'll have people say they are fantastic and I've been shooting coated bullets for years. But it's hard to beat a good jacketed hollow point for open. JHP will usually shoot a better group and keep the gun and comp cleaner. Plated bullets are about the same as coated bullets in my experience and almost the same cost as a bulk JHP bullet ( Montana Gold, Zero, PD). Stand by for the rebuttal.
  5. Is the Indiana Section Match in Terre Haute the last big 2016 USPSA match or is there talk of Jake putting on another "400" type Indiana match?
  6. I've been using Win 231 with 115 or 125 JHP. Depending on how your gun is sprung. You might be able to start in the Mid 4 grain range. I use a low 5 grain load with my gun set-up for major loads. 1.165 OAL for me. I don't want to change springs every time I shoot steel or I could probably lower my powder charge.
  7. I have seen several case head seperations with Win brass in our area as well. I have used brass Blazer, .FC., FC, RP, PMC, *I* with 9 major and not had any problems. I use my WIN for Steel Challenge loads.
  8. Looks like you need a He-Man driver to go to the He-Man Nationals. Or take the train to the nearest big city with a rental car.
  9. Do what Zack shows in Post#5 This will open up your old match's, find the old match date you want, click "manage shooters" then click "approve/view shooters" and up in the right hand box there is a email all shooters from that match.
  10. After edit schedule/squads go to bottom of that page and you should have a "show squads" click on that, it will show your squad and spot layout. click on the little pencil on the right and adjust your spots and then save it by clicking on the little floppy disk looking icon after your done with that squad. You have to go to each squad and make the changes.
  11. I just added some new spots to squads I already had set-up and don't see any problems. It's possible if you add more spots than the size of the match you have set-up you may have to change something. I'm not sure if you can add another new squad to the schedule once that's set-up.
  12. I'd imagine the top spot will be claimed by a man shooting an STI framed McLearn 40... but that's just my guess. What would your 2nd guess be?
  13. No but I have dropped the detent ball down there and that was a pain haha. That's why I keep a strong little magnet on a paper clip.
  14. I thought I recalled someone saying the lock screw doesn't really lock the adjustment screws. More like it locks the internal mechanics of the adjustment. I don't think your supposed to lock it and then try to turn the adjustments. The directions just talk about making sure its unlocked (1 1/2 turns)before adjusting and make sure its locked before firing. Might make a call to C-More in the morning. Has your zero been moving around??
  15. Central IL Practical Shooters Club is located one mile east of Havana, Illinois on IL RT 136, across from Robinia Grove. 40 degrees 17’49.15 N; 90 degrees 01’41.25 W in Mason County, Illinois. https://ilsection.wordpress.com/uspsa-clubs/central-illinois-practical-shooters-il02/
  16. I stayed there a couple years ago and survived. It's a low end motel so don't expect a Hampton Inn. If your OK with that, it is very close to the range.
  17. Try some real jacketed bullets. Even if the plated use to work just fine. It's easy and simple to do and then you can move onto more complicated things if that doesn't fix it.
  18. Anyone running the newest Limcat Stealth Holster with a Phoenix Trinity Steel Grip. Does it work without any modifications?
  19. Sorry to hear about your buddy. I don't think I had the pleasure to meet him when you were in the STL area.
  20. There is an old steel plate stage I believe is called Down time. It was 3 18 x 24 on the left, a minus 2 second 12" option plate in the middle and A 18 x 24 stop plate on the right. About 7 yard distance. The fast guys could get some strings negative and sometimes a stage negative score. We would deduct from overall time if you could do it. It was called down time.
  21. I think you will find most people use jacketed hollow points or full metal jackets for major 9mm. Not sure the last time a poll was done though.
  22. Because it's written in our clubs rules and the current BOD will not ignore it. Other clubs probably don't have a rule like it. Its not really a 501 c 3 thing as much as its whats in your clubs charter, bylaws, rules, etc. Ours was setup as a social club, based on memberships. And yes it can be changed with a different type of membership that we haven't been able to accomplish. A for profit range would never have something like that if they are looking for money. We have also seen several clubs that are "open" start up and shut down.
  23. Heck, year one is still fun. It is year 7 or 8 where it starts getting really annoying I'm at 15, and have had allot of help along the way, BUT I must need my head examined.
  24. They are flexable enough for lots of growth around here. We have clubs and shooters but not enough Match Directors. Working with USPSA is pretty easy. Working with the host clubs and doing the planning for 1, 2, or 3 match's a month seems to be the problem around here at least.
  25. You act like you know how to fix it. The Presidents Chair is going to be wide open next time from what I hear. See if you can get all the clubs and members taken care of. So far seems like your best at tossing jabs from the computer. And you only care about some of the rules you like. If you don't like it its not true.
