  1. So, your perfect IPSC match is you work till 3:30am on Saturday night then come to the range at 7:00am on sunday and set-up the match and maybe get shooting at 9:30 or 10:00. Finish the match at 1 or 2 pm and tear down and then you want to come home and spend 2 to 4 hours entering the scoresheets and posting the results so everyone can have them Sunday. I can see how long that will last. Now, you get there at 8:30 start shooting at 9:30 over by noon to 1 and results are already done on the palms. I don't see a marked improvement your way. We are trying the palm stagescore so stage times & hit counts are more accurate and no one has to double enter the scoresheets and spend a bunch more time after the match on Sunday. We know how to give out 999.9 and mikes but this maybe a better way. Our match fee is low and no one has been getting any discounts and we have a pretty good group of volunteers. Also, Gene doesn't gripe about anything and wish I had 10 more just like him. I've been doing this for 11 years and didn't jump into anything. We looking into it and discussed the pro's and con's. Some like it, some don't and it comes down to the match director making some decisions. At this time, as we've been working out some bugs, I kinda like it and like it more all the time.
  2. First off this thread is about how Ezwin 4.0 and stagescore are working together. I think there are other threads about paper versus palm scoring or you can start one about your likes and dis-likes on the implementation of it. A few things and then we should prob. move this somewhere else. You could come every weekend and bring the scoresheets home and enter everything and then post them to the web and do the uspsa reports. Hope you got all the hits and times and can read all the writing. That would be one solution. Save all your buddy's the wait time in the morning. Our club has the option of doing the set-up on Saturday and not having to do it on Sunday morning and then being almost burned out before you start shooting, (ESP. in SUMMER) The majority of the guys that come and help set-up prefer Sat. Thats usually who I listen to the most. I drive over 60 miles one way and manage to make two trips, most are much closer. We are tweaking with things to try to speed up getting going (might try some type of on-line registration the night before. Hopefully most people who sign up will show up or will have to deal with that as well. We have only ran it for 3 match's and hope to get better. For now I would come and register and then go back out and take orders for juice and Egg McMuffins and run down to the McDonalds for the guys. I think the last two match's we had sign-up at 8:30 and shooting by 9:30 and 9:45
  3. Anyone run 4.0 (4.03) with Palm Stagescore yet?
  4. Thanks, I actually mailed the gun to Scott about an hour ago but I will check out Canyon Creek. What part of IL are you from? South West Across the River from St. Louis, MO

    W231

Most places show it being "Out of Stock" right now. It's hard to find for most people. Some place's have some but harder to find than normal. Winchester WST is more available for some reason. But its a little faster and you would have to rework your load a little. Also, Hodgdon HP-38 is same as 231 if you can find it, but still hard to find.
  6. * SATURDAY SHOOTERS. Friday 1pm-7pm. Also for all day & am shooters 7-7:30am Saturday Nothing there satisfies my question (I got the email, too). Is check in required?! I'm sure you need to check in at the club house and at least pick up your scoresheet labels You can do that from 7-7:30am Saturday if your not there Friday afternoon.
  7. What explanation do I give competitors when they ask why the WSB is not being followed? Should I tell them it's a known error in the WSB? Stage Description: Set timer to five seconds for all strings. (This is probably correct) RO Notes: If turning targets are not used, set timer to 5.31 seconds per 9.4.6.2. (This is wrong if Stage Description says to set timer to five seconds) RO Notes: Shoud say something like: If turning targets are not used, overtime penalty shots should start at 5.31 seconds per 9.4.6.2. You might avoid this classifier until it's corrected or talk to Sedro and confirm, then make a note on the WSB that it was corrected per so and so at USPSA office on 6-8-10
  8. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but; Isn't it talking about auto-turners? If you set the auto turners to disappear at 5 seconds instead of 5.3 seconds, you are not following the rules as the rules state shots are allowed up to .3 sec after the par time. the targets should disappear after 5.3 as that is the time in which you are disallowed from engaging as per Most of the timer/auto-turner system's I have seen and worked with, still use a normal timer with an output jack. The output jack sends the turning signal at the start and 5 seconds but usually the electronics, activation solenoid, relays, air cyclinders all combine for a few tenths delay. If you design the system to react super fast it will just rip the targets off. But you have 5 seconds of target's shown plus the turning time (system reaction time you could say, that balance appear and dis-appear). An all visual system that you can see and not have to hear. If you shoot too many shots you get extra hits when you go down to score. When you go to an audio start and stop the timer should sound the start and then stop signal at 5 seconds and allow you .3 seconds to have heard the beep and overcome your personal reaction time(Hopefully .15-.25 of a second or better) to stop and not shoot another shot. Of course you lost the same time at the begining and it balances out as well. Overtime penalty shots would start with 5.31 Is it an exact science? Probably not, but its pretty darn close. And I'll take the auto-turners any day over trying to hear the stop beep.
  9. Post any positive or negative experience with EzWin 4.0 and the Palm Scoring. We just got it working good with 3.06 so I am hoping 4.0 is good to go.
  10. I believe they would send it to your club contact address. Same place your quarterly activity reports or any mailings would go. One copy per 2010 affiliated club
  11. Get a Dot Module on order. They fade over time. Like Sherwyn said, sometimes as short as a year. You can take the gun in the basement or low light area and the dot should be super bright and bloom out all over the place. Or compare a new module to the old one and you will probably be amazed how bright a new module is. Anyone with a C-more should have a new module in the spare part's kit. If you change it re-check zero. It will most likely move.
  12. This is getting off topic but... So who used to import SP-2? I wish I knew. I'd contact them and find out if their license was still good. I know Grafs use to sell it but no one knew where they were getting it from. I was under the impression it was Vectan/Noble sport's decision to not send it to the U.S. anymore. Seems to me Adco Sales was the original importer. http://www.adcosales.com/merchant2/ If someone is doing business with them they might be able to fill in some blanks. I'm thinking they sent me the original reloading data. I know grafs ended up with whatever was left in the country. But its been a few years
  13. Try this, it has all the mags I'll try to put the link in. My link Not sure if the link is working. spec from STI document for.45 is .425-.445
  14. Seems like someone said Brazo's only built 38sc open guns. If your wanting a 9 major you may not have Brazo's to consider. I would check with him first and see if this is true.
  15. In case you didn't know what you might have missed. Both show's had to do with ShotShow 2010 You didn't miss any really cool gun match's at least
  16. I've seen it with some of the 1-32 slow twist barrels. Not sure if yours is a 1-32 or 1-16. Might try a zero bullet or a .356 like Jim suggested and see what happens.
  17. Brownells sells it in two versions. One is Aluminum and one in Stainless Steel http://www.brownells.com/.aspx/pid=6821/Product/SLIDE_RACKER
  18. Nice rocket; the passenger set-up, not so much. Passenger to Doctor conversation: Matt said he would go slow.
  19. You need to post some pictures of the tubes with a good shot of the side ribs, maybe with a ruler along side or length measurement. Post the spring and follower too and we should be able to see what you have. If you have the right parts you should be getting 18-19 pretty easy.
  20. You might need to work on the mag a bit more. Its still going to have to fit the 170mm gauge for USPSA and IPSC. Maybe your just working on a steel challenge gun??
  21. Looks like all day Saturday is pretty popular. I'd like to see a few Sat/Sun squads rolled into all day Sat. squads. Jeff
  22. A few police officers told me they prefer to see gun, mags, and ammo seperate. They didn't have a problem with it being all in a range bag. Prefer the range bag in the trunk of the car, or in case of a pickup; as far as you can get it from the driver. (i.e. passenger side of king cab.) I tend to go by what they prefer, not sure of the exact definitions of whats legal.
  23. I wonder what the carbon footprint numbers would be.
  24. Thanks no just needed to make sure I got names right on the pictures for the article submitted to front sight Tony is close, forgot the s (Matsche) if you want to be correct. We get roughed up enough already. Jeff
