  1. I think the problem would be if the finish is gone it doesn't provide any corrosion resistance. Does ionbond hold up better to abrasion?
  2. I agree I would just use a full target and then its a non issue and doesn't affect the stage. Just makes it a little harder for a REALLY bad shooter haha.
  3. 4.2.2.1 The face of paper no-shoots must include a sufficiently distinguishable non-scoring border. In the absence of perforations or other suitable markings, the Range Master must order that all affected targets have a replacement non-scoring border drawn or fitted thereon. Sounds to me like you can draw a "perf" on the target and be good to go. Seems weird but thats how that reads to me. I may be missing another rule tho.
  4. is that in the rule book or a clarification from NROI?
  5. So if a production shooter has a barney mag in his front pocket to make ready does that mean he gets bumped to open as well?
  6. Just looked on there and didn't see any. Maybe I didn't use the right search criteria.
  7. If thats what your counting on you'd better check the laws again. In states that are that strict (and I live in one) it's rare that a law like that will cover you.
  8. Im thinking I would give up the bullet feeder for the powder check. If you are that new to reloading and are questioning your technique I think the bullet feeder may be a little advanced for you. Please don't take that personally it just seems like a big jump for a new reloader. A lot of guys here will tell you that you should start on a single stage and don't even think about a progressive, let along a progressive with a bullet feeder. Its just another think to pay attention to. I also highly recommend the lock out die. It actually stops the press instead of just telling you theres no powder. I run one on all my tool heads.
  9. They are doing it in Mass this year for Area 7.
  10. I just picked one up on here recently for really cheap. It's identical to that. Def no way to modify it back to standard capacity with the slits in it. I've never seen one like that before that either.
  11. That's interesting. I thought the 15 was snappier than the factory spring and was thinking it was because it was lighter. I didn't like how snappy it felt.
  12. They really are starting to turn every division into an arms race. Little disappointing.
  13. I shot them side by side with the exact same loads and there is definitely a difference. The 15 lb spring felt way snappier. Didn't like it nearly as much.
  14. Haven't seen anyone running 10 in a big stick at my clubs.
  15. Highly recommend the the Alpha x holster. It is very easy to adjust and the retention is perfect. Note that the actual retention device of the race master and the alpha x is the same. The alpha x is just much easier to adjust.

And a damn good job they do.

I was hoping they would do that too but I doubt hey will for a little while. The demand will be so high they probably won't be able to supply parts. They will all be allocated to new complete guns. Would def be nice tho.
  18. Anybody know what the factory spring weight is. I put in a gray guns guide rod with a 15 lb spring and I think I want to go heavier. I like the feel the factory spring provides better than the 15lb set up. Thanks.

Can you just swap all the guts of the regular 320 into the x5?
  20. Wow that's just stupid. If you want to be so exclusive then why be apart of a national organization. Can't understand having a sanctioned match if your not going to be inclusive to the organization that sanctions it. Thats special.

I have a couple limited guns with flat triggers and really like it. Seems like it gives you more sensitivity to the trigger if that makes sense. You can almost feel the trigger more. At least for me.

ahhh that sucks. I literally just got my 320 back from gray guns a week and a half ago with the curved trigger.
  23. Pawl adjustment is very very fine. Be careful when adjusting them and keep track of which one and which way you went. Its easy to over do it and you can break them or lock up the press. As far as the powder drop goes I took the baffle out and spread it a little then pushed it a little further up the plastic powder hopper this helped maintain a little more pressure I guess and greatly improved the powder drop consistency. Also found it took a while for it to settle in. It liked to be kept on the fuller side. I had a lot of the same problems with my LNL and they were consistent. Always was adjusting something. I even touched off a primer in the press because the shell plate didn't index properly and it crushed going in. Needed a fresh pair of underwear but I was fine otherwise. In the end all the little issues were driving me crazy so I bought a 650 and haven't looked back. I haven't touched a thing since I set it up. LNL makes good ammo its just finicky.
  24. I love Adams work but he has been turning people down for this type of work. Two guys at my club that I know of. Not sure if he's getting to busy with the semi production guns or what the deal is.
