    P320 X5 Thread

Am I the only one that prefers the curved trigger over the flat x5 trigger. I keep going back and forth and prefer the curved.
  2. Same thing in limited you get a couple extra shots for the lack of recoil. And yes this has been beaten to death and then some in the same thread several guys have mentioned already.
  3. Yes they offer a muzzle support. Its not included but double alpha does make one.
  4. Alpha X. I have had both and I found the alpha x is much easier to set up. You can also remove the alpha x from the hanger and not lose any settings. This is nice if you travel and don't want it to get beat up. You cant do that with the regular race master. They both use the exact same retention device and they are interchangeable. So as far as the draw feel they are the same.
  5. Yes similar to a Glock just no visible trigger safety. I wouldn't say DA only though. Striker fired guns are very different from DA only guns.
  6. I have had both and I'm 100% recommending the race master holster. Really nice set up and if you need to keep it locked in the beginning of a stage for some strange reason its way easier to unlock on the draw. Thats not something I would recommend but if the need arises its much better. I would recommend the alpha x even more. It has the exact same retention device/guts as the race master but a much better adjustment system. The WSM2 is cheaper to switch between platforms as it is just shims that can be added or removed but the DAA holster is just a better product all around.
  7. I shoot TG too. Don't think thats it. Could you be roasting the bulb and it gets brittle? When you say they are breaking are you finding them broken still in the gun or do they completely fall out?
  8. I have never broken one. you sure they are breaking and not just slipping through because of a small bell? that seems weird to have them break that quick. Also what brand of rod are you using. Maybe that could have some bearing on it if you are using cheap rod.
  9. Def second Red Hill. Such a nice product.
  10. Thats strange. Maybe try taking the pin out and cleaning the die and pin with a degreaser. Could be some machining oil left on it. Never heard of that problem.
  11. That thing really is huge. That was funny I looked at those pics and I'm like that looks like my old edge. Looked back at my messages and remembered I sold it to you. Hows it running?
  12. You don't have a pic by any chance do you? I always wondered how big it really was.
  13. Dawson still makes it. Its the "mo" lo pro version. Its a bigger button that you can tune yourself.
  14. It is easier for sure. I have smaller hands also. Problem is sometimes I hit the button with my palm and drop the mag. Usually on high stress reloads where its a real rush to get it done. Like a classifier. I switched to the IDPA length dawson mag release and put the heavy spring in it. That seems to have remedied the problem but if not its back to a regular ole lo pro button. I kind of need the paddle but it may not work out. Ill have to get used to flipping the gun in my had for mag changes.
  15. Using mixed powder goes against everything I have ever learned about reloading. Theres the possibility that it could be fine but the other options are just totally unacceptable. I 100 percent vote fertilize the lawn. Powder really isn't that expensive. Just let it go.
  16. This totally depends on what you want. There are tons of mag buttons out there. Some are paddle style some are buttons and they are all different sizes and textures. Some people have trouble with the paddle style buttons, myself included. I will occasionally bump the button with my palm when I'm really pushing it. I personally love the feel and size of the STI paddle button. That said I'm very close to getting rid of it because of mag drop issues. I need it but if I drop one more mag I'm going to learn to do without. If you can make that button work with your hands then I would highly recommend it.
  17. Well played Scott lets keep the trolling going hahahaha.
  18. Does anybody know who sells a tungsten guide rod for the 320?
  19. Nobody? That actually really surprises me considering the 320 interest on this forum lol.
  20. If you get bumped to open at single stack nationals how exactly does that work? Your pretty much just shooting for no score right?
  21. Unfortunately when you move to the 2011 platform there does always seem to be something. They require constant attention.
  22. Big fan of the 511 taclite pants. For shorts I use a pair of under armor golf shorts that are super light.
  23. I know a few guys that sent their STI 40 guns to have the chambers opened up a tad because they were so tight. I had an edge myself but I was lucky and didnt have a problem.
  24. interesting observation there. Love to know who got away with that.
  25. I have dedicated pants and shorts for that reason. I really only wear them shooting. Theres a crazy oil stain on them but I just don't worry about it.
