  1. Ok so I put my calipers to a 3mm pad I got from Atlas when he built my mags and a 4mm(4g2 pad that i bought from shooters connection). The 3mm pad measured .284 at its thickest points and the 4mm measured .352 at its thickest points. Ill include a picture of them side by side as well. The pad on the mag is the 3mm and this passed the gauge at area 7 this past weekend. Sorry they're upside down next to each other but still gives the proper effect.
  2. Thats the description for the 40 cal complete mags right off their site. Definitely a misleading. Thats a lot of money to spend for the description to be off and not fit the gauge.
  3. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Manufactured from 410 stainless steel using a process control system, Infinity tubes are among the finest in the industry. Infinity employs a proprietary process that polishes both the interior and exterior of each tube to a high gloss. Not only does this process add to the appearance, it improves the performance of the tubes by reducing rough spots or imperfections in the tube walls. Each magazine is individually hand-tuned with all TTI internals. FITS the 140MM Gauge! Holds 21+1! 40 S&W Magazines Include: -TTI Universal Follower (the slide will lock back with one in the magazine still, need to disengage slide lock to maximize round count). -Extra Strength Spring -TTI 4mm Base Pad
  4. Thats weird because their website says its the 4mm on the 40 cal tubes and 3mm on the 9mm tubes.
  5. Hey Rowdy, Im assuming you got the complete mags from TTI. Their complete kit comes with the 4mm basepad. They are known to maybe maybe not fit the gauge. Its pretty crappy they sell them as will fit but it is what it is. Maybe try selling the 4mm pads and get the 3mm ones. I bet you could damn near get your money back on them. You do lose a round but as you know its pretty rare that one round is going to make or break you. I was going to get the 4mm myself but heard about this problem before I ordered them.
  6. Well that's super sketchy. Nothing ever gets deleted from here.
  7. If your running two toolheads I would just bell with an m die or whatever you want on the first tool head. You could try polishing the dillon expander but it seems this is kind of ineveitable on a dillon.
  8. I had the red one for a while and also couldn't get it running 100 percent. Always required some kind of tweaking. I bought a 650 and it was a whole new world. I absolutely love that machine. Their customer service is also the best I have ever experienced. I broke my case feed adapter the other day, totally my fault. Called dillon and the guy was like ok its on the way. I was a little confused for a second but thats how they operate. Do it and you will never look back.
  9. This has to be the only place where people would talk someone out of buying another gun hahaha. I do agree with what they are saying but there is something to be said for a custom gun. Some of the parts will likely be of better quality and increase reliability in the long run. I doubt that you are outshooting your Springfield so accuracy probably isn't much of a concern. I personally like having 2 guns. A primary and a backup. I travel as much as I can to shoot and I would hate to miss out because of something breaking that i cant fix quick. If you have that much cash to spend and really want a new blaster check out Atlas gunworks. Adam and the fellas build a top notch gun and the customer service is excellent. The wait time isn't bad either. Let us know what you decide to do.
  10. This is the company that makes the upgrade most guys are using. They have one for the stronmount only and one that will work with or without it. http://dillonupgrades.com/
  11. Starlight 100%. It puts the light right where you need it. The lights end up almost directly above each station. They got them as close as possible without being inside the dies. Great product and super easy installation.
  12. Ok you refreshed my memory. I have the dillon lock ring on that die. The dillon rings require less threads and space to lock down. Had to use one on another one of my dies too. Theres nothing fancy about them but they work fine.
  13. Lock ring is on the top of the tool head. Why would it be on the bottom?
  14. I shoot limited normally and thought I would dabble in CO once in a while. It's just way to different for me to go back and forth. Forget about the gun differences, for me it was the holster position and finding the dot. I like the idea of CO and it's fun to shoot but I think I'm going to let it go for now. I just don't think it's worth going back and forth. I really want to be competitive and it just seems like a major hinderance in that regard. Some people don't mind bouncing around. It's just not for me.
  15. EGW u die rcbs lock out die redding competition seating die lee factory crimp. As a side note my lee factory crimp die works fine with the reloading innovations light.
  16. Dillon prices are pretty much consistent across the board. Best you will find is shipping deals or credits on their site but its like a weber grill doesn't matter where you get it as far as the price goes. Kracken pop is almost exactly the same price as dillon.
  17. I've see a bunch of guys including myself have trouble with the PT grip in the STI block. I ended up getting the PT block and the problem was solved. Mine hung up a couple times at a match and that was it for me. You shouldn't have much trouble selling the STI block if you switched.
  18. My fault read that too fast and misunderstood. Gotcha now.
  19. Couldn't that be the result of a 40 something point reduction in power factor and not the comp working the gas. My understanding was that minor guns required a smaller compensator to effectively use the available gas. What I'm getting at is if you fitted a different comp, one more geared towards minor loads on that gun with factory minor ammo you would be significantly flatter than your major loads. Not just about the same.
  20. I could see that skewing the hit factors for divisions if it was that easy. At a certain point you could just shoot single stack and have it count for 3 divisions or production for 4 divisions. I do wish limited and limited 10 were lumped into one tho. Thats the only instance it kind of makes sense to me. There is the ocassional classifier that requires a mag change for L10 and not Limited. So there is that.
  21. Def looks like its been shot a bit but if its running who cares. Doesnt matter. One question tho, whats up with you mag release button?
  22. I was in the same position. Got scolded for doing the same thing. The RO's on that stage were a little intense if you ask me. I didn't think much of the blanket procedural for pre pasting either. I mean really its an accident 99.9 percent of the time or more. You know when something fishy is going on.
  23. Would be fine. Looks plenty secure just doubt it would be ideal for what were doing in competition.
