This is basically what I did with all my 92s. The Les Pepperoni rear has been my go-to since.

DPP 2.5 MOA has been my favorite due to it's large FOV. I am looking forward to the new Romeo coming out this August as an alternative.

I had the same issue regarding grip with my Accu. I have played with LOK Palmswell and OEM rubber grips to remedy the issue. I ultimately went with the Loks as they provided the most bite with Pro-Grip as well as removing material for access to the magazine release. EDIT: I have also been thinking about getting the new Henning grips for the SP-01/Shadow 2, as they feel awesome on a Stock II, so there's a chance they'll feel awesome on the CZ.

Pretty much this. Will always come down to the the driver and not the car. As everyone else has said, you can buy something in the 2-3k range from any of the semi-custom (baer, WC, STI, etc) or custom guys (atlas, akai, reputable gunsmiths to build off a base gun) and you'll have yourself an exceptional blaster.

I'm wondering if I should do the same now and save up all the bullets I come across that hav this issue. It's just so difficult to sort through thousands of bullets when you're just dumping into a MBF. Once they're seated and it looks fine from a glimpse I just let them through. About a quarter of the 6000 I ordered were like this. I just loaded them up and shot them. I wish they'd do a more thorough job quality controlling. At least they give you a little more to cushion the deformed bullets. I think with all that said, maybe that's why they're offered for such a good price? Sent from my SM-N910V using Tapatalk

But was this due to bad casting or just too much material was removed? I've never seen a minor PF gun have these issues if everything was squared away for weight reduction and longevity properly. I will however say that nothing is impossible especially with so many variables at hand.

I've done exactly this in the past. Started out first with 400 grit and worked my way to 2000. Worked perfectly in the end.

Late to the party, but I can relate so much to OP. When I got into shooting, one of my first guns was a 1911 and I fell head over heels with the history and beauty of the platform (also cause I live win California, so it made more sense than owning a double stack). Started out just like you punching holes in paper at the range and gradually progressed to IDPA and ultimately went to USPSA. I've never shot single stacks/2011s well. No matter how much dry firing or live practice I put the gun through, I was never consistent with it. I never wanted to let go of the platform (still haven't really), but I finally decided to give other guns more time (polymer and CZ) and so far all those guns have yielded far better results. I thought it was a grip issue or perhaps my girly hands couldn't handle major PF, but after taking a Ben Stoeger class and reading countless sources of shooting technique I just came to the conclusion that the platform wasn't for me. As I said, I'm not blaming the gun, but every other platform has given me no issues. Try it out first, OP, and give it a little time to really cement in whether or not the gun is good for you.

For railed 9MM single stack guns I found that the best combination was tri-topping the slide, Dawson aluminum ICE magwell, stippled a set of magpul 1911 grips, and running an aluminum guide rod w/ shock buffer.

Checkmate magazines have always been my favorite and I've had them work in several guns whereas Wilson Combat magazines were not reliable across different guns. CMC would be my second choice, especially the old Shooting Star magazines.

The Dawson magazines work great out of my Springer. I sanded the surface of all of my tubes and then polished to get a nice slick finish and it did help a lot with dropping mags. Wilson just updated their 9MM ETM tubes and made their followers steel instead of the plastic, so I am intrigued to try those out.

Running ACME 125gr with a minor load and they feel great considering I was shooting x-treme 147s right before I changed. Can't argue the price either!

I've had nothing but success with C&S parts. I've helped a friend put in a drop-in kit without any prep and the pull came out to be the advertised weight after tuning the sear spring a bit. Gutted the gun again, stoned some edges, polished some surfaces, and reassembled the pistol for the same weight but a much smoother pull and reset. +1 to C&S as well as Extreme Engineering.

Friend ordered an Open build from Adam not long ago and has yet to receive it, but the work he did on his DVC Limited was so good that that was what prompted him to get the Open build. Also, Ben Stoeger's Pro Shop has a section dedicated to Adam's stuff, albeit it is not updated with his current line of offerings.

I've loaded FM and Ammoland stuff and never really had a problem. I do however sort all of my brass and I keep all of my stepped cases in one pile while my normal/non nato brass in another. These were all loaded at minor PF. However, I know that major shooters have split tons of stepped cases and avoid them like the plague now.

My vote goes to 10-8 rear and either a FO front or brass bead.

I love railed framed 1911/2011. Works for competition and "tactical" applications. X300 under a full rail rustles my jimmies.

Sound resonance comes from the hammer style and material it's made from. Easy way to think about it is hitting something that's hollow versus solid.
