  1. FWIW, many moons ago while chasing reduced SD, I found that using the FCD got me double digit SD (good brass, Vit powder and jacketed bullets). Going back to the standard crimp die the SD went under 10. It may not matter to you unless you like riding close to power factor limits...
  2. The map is located on the 'Gram under the practical.shooting.insights account. You can discuss it there.
  3. May Today and the coming year be excellent!
  4. I did exactly this test when I was given an aftermarket baffle from a guy in the PHX area. There was zero difference between the stock Dillon power feed and the same feeder with the baffle installed. The stock device held +/- 0.1 gr and so did the baffle. But, it did make it more difficult to dump the powder from the tube so if that's what you are after, go for it. This test was measuring for pistol loads using N320. YMMV
  5. My favorite was folks who would register for L-10 and shoot their SS Major rigs right up to big matches. Sandbagging without the sandbagging,
  6. I used to have some ~1" tall IPSC and USPSA paper targets taped to the wall behind my computer monitors at work. It was handy to train eye transitions while appearing to be working.
  7. I don't know where the Wisconsin section posts their stuff but if you can find it, they tell the story there. I saw it on practical.shooting.insights on the Gram...
  8. If majors want to use 2 chronos, the Garmin isn't gonna cut it if it does not have selectable channels to eliminate cosite interference like the LabRadar. I did not see the ability in the Garmin user manual after a brief search.
  9. It did in 2014 but not 2020 or after...
  10. It works on my phone and it was just upgraded to Android 14. Upgrades sometimes break stuff but not in this case. Also you may want to check for woke firewalls. GL, ChuckS
  11. I used to help run a "Wednesday Night Steel" match modeled after Rio Salado's TNS. The match used static steel targets. We tried shotgun and found that scoring was a nightmare and sometimes you couldn't even tell if the shooter hit the plate or just the 2x4. For match flow reasons, we only painted between squads at most, but even if you painted between shooters, the later string shots made scoring more or less a guessing game. And we went through a bunch of 2x4's!
  12. The error is the true velocity times the cosine of the angle off boresight. (Actually, the error is = Tv(1-Cos A) )
  13. Heck, some of those guys thought using 8 round mags was gaming!
  14. From the glossary: Allied Equipment ................ Magazines, speed loaders and/or their respective retention devices (including magnets)
  15. What is this "thing" called?
  16. Yup. But, I have had to catch myself before I mumbled something like "oops", etc.
  17. Face any way you wish. Try not to DQ

  19. OK, children. This thread is about converting limited guns to CO. Not for arguing about how good you are and how bad everyone else is. One more post and the thread is closed...
  20. Just a reminder, this thread is about this very unique election. Any more thread drift about the .org or people will get it closed.
  21. Many moons ago (2012) I used the Delta Point (not pro) on my open gun. The original design was pretty good except for 2 major issues. First the illumination sensor looked up and not forward. The second was the tiny little torx screws used for adjustment and locking. I had 2 dots and eventually the screw heads stripped. The dots sat in the safe (went another direction for Open) until USPSA talked about adding CO. I figured I would put one on a dovetail mount on my CZ and give it a try. I called Leupold and talked to the service guy and he offered to send me new screws. I looked at the tiny little parts and figured I would just mess it up so I asked if they would fix them if I sent them back. Sure, they said. When I got the shipment I was surprised to find that they sent me 2 new DPPs. Cool I thought until I put them on my optics test range. The range consists of my step ladder located 15 feet into my garage facing my neighbor's garage door across the street. The distance is 44 yards. I set the dot on the ladder and sighted in on one of the 8" door panels. At 44 yards, the DPP had about 8" of vertical parallax. The horizontal was fine. Bad dot, I thought. So I opened the other one and found the same issue. This was about 8 or more years ago. Hopefully they were improved but I would suggest you put the dot/gun on a stable mount, sight something at a distance and move your head up and down and see if the dot stays on the POA.
