  1. Yup! Quite a while ago, he took a bunch of us over to Catalina Island on his boat to shoot the Gun Club Halloween Match. Great Fun. (Just checked! That match was in 2003!)
  2. We lost a local open shooter, entrepreneur and all-round good guy. He was frequently at Norco Running Gun and was a Master class Open shooter. This is the post from his company FB page. RIP Mike...
  3. Coaching implies something helpful. That is not the case on that squad
  4. Hi Gordo, The rules are pretty clear on this. You did not mention the division so I will assume CO. If they holstered the gun with the hammer back and the safety applied, it is the improper firearm ready condition and the shooter should not be started until it is corrected. If they holstered the handgun with the hammer back and the safety off, it is a DQ for unsafe gun handling. Later, Chuck
  5. You will never see a "B" but you will see a "M" with a B percentage...
  6. We did an experiment during a practice session. We set up an 18 round stage with fairly close targets, some lateral movement but no real tight shots. I shot the stage pushing as fast as I could. No mikes, but the hits were sloppy. I recall a handful of D's, mostly C's and a few As'. Then, we said that we were going to repeat the stage but try to get the best points we could. My second run was 17 A and 1 C. But it did take longer. 0.01 seconds longer The only difference was that I made sure I called the second shot. Visual Patience at it's best!
  7. Much preferred to dropping 15 points
  8. Dunno about IDPA but USPSA has rule 2.4 which covers safety areas. Nothing specific like you are looking for. We just use the same sticks as we use for shooting area boundaries. Everyone knows what those mean
  9. Contact the MD if you have mag questions. Hi-caps, mags and Cameo will not be rehashed here... Closed
  10. NP. But I was off by a year. KC was 10 when he made Master...
  11. KC Escubio made M at 9 years and GM at 12. Tell your 10 year old to get busy
  12. I have used a spreadsheet for about 27 years. I count the ammo in the range bag before and after trips and log the difference. Simple. I am not an Apple user but I did notice there are some apps in the app store.
  13. BREAKING: CRPA defeats the Handgun Roster in California! This is a GAME-CHANGING WIN! Today the court granted CRPA’s Motion for a Preliminary Injunction, meaning that the loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, and microstamping requirements are unconstitutional. The state will more than likely appeal this decision, so the fight isn’t over, but we think we’re heading for another major 2A victory for California gun owners! CRPA President and General Counsel Chuck Michel, celebrated the win by saying, “For decades, this ‘roster’ law has deprived law-abiding citizens of the right to choose a handgun appropriate for their individual needs. The loaded chamber indicator, magazine disconnect, and microstamping requirements were impossible to satisfy, so the number of different models of approved handguns available to buy dropped to barely 200. If we can hold on to this great Second Amendment win, people will be able to choose from among thousands of the latest, greatest, and safest handguns made today."
  14. The primer shortage has had an effect for quite a while and probably still does...
  15. Which shot(s) are you referring to on the drawing?
