  1. Straight across from MBF to casefeeder is roughly 19" Measuring from the MBF to the deepest part of the casefeeder is roughly 21" Sorry, I was doing it one handed.
  2. Two mag holders. One for loading the PCC and a back up for issues or classifiers.
  3. You're probably right! I remember hearing/reading something about the Dillon dies. I Love their machines, but I've never used Dillon dies. I actually use Lee and RCBS.
  4. Most of the tablets also have the ability to have a external battery pack installed. At one of the clubs I shoot at, they have the external batteries attached to the back of the tablet cover which keeps it out of the way.
  5. I would use it on a MOS. Probably the 34MOS
  6. I think it's something to do with the Dillon die not truly fully sizing the case. I use Lee dies to resize and I don't have that problem.
  7. Having shot a lot of matches at Frostproof, You definitely need something. I've seen a lot of people use hoods on their optic. I have the Arredondo hood for my C-mores. I'm not sure about the Sig. You can easily make one with the blue painters tape.
  8. I just use google and search for the specific part I'm looking for. I found a CORE slide for my M&P Pro. For trigger parts, Apex Tactical. Their are a lot of companies that carry M&P parts at reasonable prices.
  9. Welcome to the forums! May all your questions be answered.
  10. Exactly! or just hit the random sort button again. If you have two RO's back to back, just insert shooters in between them. I think he's overthinking it.
  11. When you get a chance, look at the vibra-prime. It will save you time in loading primers. As for the press, You will now be able to save money by making your own ammo versus buying store bought. The press will pay for itself! The best part of loading your own ammo is that you can now cater the load to your gun. Congrats on the acquisition!
  12. I've noticed it on Archery Talk. I thought the same thing. I don't use it on AT. I just use my bow specs. What's the forum you use it on?
  13. You can also try putting alcohol on a q-tip and clean the emitter.
  14. I started with a Lee Turret Press. I still have it and I use it for some load development for rifle rounds. I, like most switched to a Dillon and it was the best thing I ever did. I started with a casefeeder and I added a bullet feeder on when I could. secondly, both 9mm and 223 are small primer. The changeover on the Dillon will take about 5 minutes. I also think you answered your own question of which press to get in the bold statement above. It might be hard, but I would look for one in the classifieds. Someone might have fallen on hard times and they need to offload it.
  15. Easy! Let the RO's run the squad. Many if not all matches use practiscore to score the match. It's a simple thing called random on the tablet. Once the order is set, you usually drop 1-2 shooters every stage. Is this even a problem where you are? I've never encountered an issue any issues at any of the clubs I've ever shot at.
  16. CCLASS said it perfectly. It sounds like you really want a new gun. Have you shot the CZ before? You might want to try it and see if you like it before dropping $1500-2000 in new gear.
  17. Stay with the 231. As you mentioned in your post, you wanted a powder to fill the case to avoid double charges. 231 will work for those calibers and depending on your load, should provide ample powder in the case for visual verification. I use Titegroup. BUT it is a low volume powder and it seems you are a new reloader. Stay away from it until you are very familiar with the ins and outs of reloading. Titegroup is very easy to double charge because of the low volume of the powder drops. Get into the habit of looking in the case and visually verifying the powder drop. It won't take long before you can determine what you drop looks like for a particular load.
  18. My thoughts exactly. What's next? Where does it end? Steel must fall. I've been at matches where one popper would fall because of the wind and the same popper would still be standing after a competitor shot it. Plain and simple...Steel must fall.
  19. I have a xl650. I also load 308 but I use H4895. My load is 42gr, I used to weigh every load and hand trickle to get exactly 42gr. For my load which is similar to yours, I found that my throw was consistent enough if it was +/- .01 grains from my desired load. I just loaded up 30 hunting rounds for my son. I weighed each case and zeroed out my scale between cases. Every single load was either 41.9gr, 42gr or 42.1gr. For hunting loads, this is very much within normal expectations. My hunting load is 42gr of H4895 behind a 150gr Hornaday SST If you want more consistency than that, I would suggest you buy a automatic chargemaster or a auto charge pro.
  20. At your next match, Take a survey of the shooters and ask. I feel that availability of centerfire ammo and components and the lack of said components probably contributes to the swing you are seeing. The only way to confirm is to survey the shooters. All we are doing is speculating.
  21. Yes. The crimp and lack of crimp will affect the plunk test. If you don't remove the flair or over flair the case it will affect the plunk test.
  22. I would determine my longest OAL for each gun. Then staying within pressure limitations, I would determine a OAL that chambered and feed reliably at a predetermined OAL that worked for all guns. I
  23. A dillon 750 is superior to the 550. Don't spend $1900 on a 550. You're getting hosed! Get the press with the caliber conversion you're going to load most. Another way to save money is to buy the pieces from the other calibers you need. Use the link below (650/750) to determine what parts are interchangeable for the calibers you want to load. http://thegunwiki.com/apps/calconversion/index.asp
  24. Cell phone. I use a otterbox, so I just hook it into the clip.
