  1. Did you check it with a magnet? It almost looks like steel cases that were plated with nickel.
  2. What about the spring? I would replace the spring and see what is does. Shooting PCC, I know I have at least three extra firing pins and springs on hand.
  3. I'll have to do some hands on research with different brass. I have starline brass laying around.
  4. News to me! Would it even be possible to have a smaller case capacity if the case is the same size? Unless the brass is thicker, a sized sig case and a sized starline case should be the same length. Or am I missing something?
  5. I also run the Apex FSS Flat faced trigger with competition springs. My trigger pulls at about 2.5lbs and has very little pre-travel and a short reset.
  6. When I shot IDPA eons ago, I used my G30 in SSP and loaded 10+1 because I wanted th shoot what I carried. Then I learned how to play the game and got a G34. The only issue with using the G30 in SSP is the short sight radius.
  7. I agree with Sarge. I wouldn't use SRP's in a blowback system with lightened springs or triggers.
  8. Call Tim Ubl at Taccom, If anyone knows, he does. Why are you wanting to weld the underside of the bolt?
  9. I'm left handed and just reversed the mag release button. If you can't have just a mag release on the right side of the gun, I would recommend what @Billcop72 said.
  10. Stage 3 Draw looked good. You were stationary too long after the first shot. After engaging the first target you need to be moving. Your reloads need to be done while moving. I'm very impressed that it's only your 4th match. My criticism would be learn to lower your body walk heel to toe and learn to shoot on the move. I would also recommend you anticipate your reloads faster and perform them while moving from position to position.
  11. I would consider changing "A" to shooting into and out of positions. Even though you stated in "B" to avoid movement without shooting or reloading the thought of shooting as many targets from one position can get you standing still too long without getting the body ready to explode to the next shooting position. Does that make sense?
  12. I prefer CCI over Winchester, but I take what I can get. Right now I have 8k CCI SPP and 200 Winchester LPP. I'm loading 9mm more than 45acp, so I have more SPP. I've never had a problem with either of them, My XL650 loads them all.
  13. That is not published as far as I know. I would try calling USPSA to see if they will divulge that info.
  14. For me, 147gr produce a push on the gun and it gets back on target faster. 124gr are more of a flip. But That's just me with my load and guns. You may or may not experience the same results.
  15. I have the Taccom ULW ramped barrel as well. Except mine is the older one. Taccom makes great stuff for a reasonable price. Tim is always available with any issues you may have.
  16. Thank you! I'm a little on the slow side right now. I understand. Looking back at your earlier post, I believe you made the right decision. 10.4.2.2
  17. When milled, they usually have 2-4 holes tapped.
  18. FWIW from my knowledge, which is limited on roll sizing. If you have a very finicky gun, roll sizing will ensure the bullets feed into the chamber. Personally, I use a Lee Full length sizing die on XL650.
  19. 2.2.3.4 All such barriers are considered to represent a solid plane and are considered hard cover unless designated as soft cover (see 9.1.6). Shots cannot be fired though the barrier except at designated shooting ports or other designated openings. Any hits that result from full diameter shots fired through a barrier except through a designated port or opening will not count for score and if a steel target is knocked down it will be considered REF and a reshoot will be ordered. See 9.1.6.2 This is what I was referring to
  20. I was going to have my M&P pro milled for a carry optic. I ended up just buying a complete CORE slide. To answer your question. I don't believe they mill deep enough to expose any internal parts. My CORE has plates and holes for various optics. If you could, I would contact some of the companies that mills slides. I'm not sure what the specifics are for mailing a gun slide, but you would probably be better off than someone screwing up your slide.
  21. Depending if the barrel was hard cover or soft cover.
  22. No it was the Georgia State IDPA match many years ago. They lined the entire squad up facing downrange, everyone loaded at once. once everyone was hot, you couldn't leave the bay....but again this was years ago.
  23. I've seen some pretty shady stuff from shooters who ask for chrono rounds. Some shooters have special ammo loaded just for the chrono stage. The best way to combat this is to collect rounds from everyone on their first stage. Once they get ready, have them pull the rounds out of a magazine they have on their person. If I remember correctly, it was at a match in Georgia. They run a hot range. They had everyone make ready. Then they asked for rounds out of a magazine we had on our person.
  24. How about Root Beer? Drinking late into the night before a match? Going to said match hungover? I just don't get it. I wouldn't want to be on a squad with someone who is hungover!
