  1. I have the Pro 5" I experimented with springs and mine liked the 13lb spring better than the 11lb. But...I loaded on the lower end of the PF scale with my loads. I don't recall exactly what the PF was though. Too lazy to go look it up.
  2. 6/9/23 Final gun assembly complete. The gun weighs over 2lbs empty and a whopping 2lbs 12.3oz Loaded with dummy rounds.
  3. Here's the final weight of the gun with the W74 Tungsten Guide Rod installed.
  4. I'm back! It's been a minute...or two since my last post to my dairy. Thankfully, I'm getting over my right foot issue and I'm ready to start training again. With the purchase of the P10F Competition Ready gun, I'll be almost starting over learning how to shoot carry optics. Now that the Holosun is mounted, I can start dry fire training again. First step is to review the Stoeger and Anderson books to develop a dryfire plan. Now that I can somewhat run and walk without pain, I'll also have to start agility training. Getting old sucks!
  5. **Update** Optic plate came in and I got the Holosun mounted. Taylor Freelance backstrap installed and the gun feels like a brick. it weighs 897g or 1.977lbs. It's by far the heaviest gun I've ever owned. I'm waiting on the Stonebridge Gunworks Tungsten guide rod and 14lb flatwire spring to arrive. As for the trigger, the pull is 3lb 12.7oz average on 10 pulls with my Wheeler Pro Digital Gauge. As you know, the gun comes with 3 mags. I called CZ and they informed me that the basepads are made by Henning. I ordered another gold +2 basepad to install on a additional mag I also ordered. After I put some rounds through it, I'll decide what (if anything) to do with the trigger.
  6. Hiperfire. Relatively easy install and you have the adjustability to modify the hammer strike by changing out the springs.
  7. I have 2 short barrel PCC's 5" Taccom barrels and a 13" Taccom. I run 124gr plated bullets from Everglades ammo with 3.3gr of Titegroup with a 1.10 OAL. I don't recall the PF, but it functions well in all my guns, not just my PCC's.
  8. Here's my .02 First, let's drop the morality question because he never asked it. Second, I understand your need to test out the footing but...you could do that without dryfiring. And more importantly, if you're a member of that club, why are you not familiar with the ground cover? Lastly, I've seen this go both ways with open bays. I've seen public ranges have a test bay where you can fire rounds before a match and I'm a member at a club where it's not allowed in the action area. Now if you're a quarter mile away and your club allows it...have at it.
  9. Why so much hate for the FCD? I've been successfully using one for years. I think his issue lies with incorrect setup of his other dies. I don't have extensive knowledge of the 1050. I run a XL650. I would start with his bullet feeder and check and measure the bell on the brass. You only need to bell the brass enough to hold the bullet. I can't recall my numbers and I'm too lazy to go look them up, but my bullets barely sit on top of the case. From there, they get seated. Granted I'm primarily using 124gr plated bullets, but it was the same when I was using 147gr bullets. My FCD die is last and you can hardly tell it's doing anything if it was the only case on the shell plate. I would check the bell and definitely reinstall the FCD.
  10. I have one. It's a 6moa dot, but I use it on my M&P Pro. For PCC, I use the C-more Railways. 6 moa for steel matches & USPSA and 14 moa for steel challenge. What questions do you have about the Venom?
  11. I have 3 PCC's for me, they don't like glock mags for some reason. I have two 31 round glock mags with Taylor Freelance extensions. I primarily use ETS mags. My main mag is a ETS with MBX extension for a total of 47-48 rounds. As far as optics, what do you plan on using it for? I shoot steel matches, Steel Challenge and USPSA matches with mine. I run the C-more railway on top. The steel challenge gun has a 14moa dot and the others have 6moa dots.
  12. No. I don't assume anything. Just explaining why it's faster for me to use longer magazines for PCC and reloads.
  13. Good idea. I would swap piece by piece until you determine the cause. Right now, we are all grabbing at straws.
  14. I'm glad it's faster for you. But... for me it's not. I can't position the mags in the same place as my pistol mags. I'm left handed and shoot rifle right handed. That's why I practice reloads on my PCC. For me, It's faster midline. Just my .02
  15. Only problem is factory loads run hot. I like catering the ammo to the gun. I have a pet load for PCC and pistol that I really like.
  16. I've been using Everglades Ammo for years. Everglades Ammo Shipping is Free/Fast and I've never had an issue with their bullets. I've used 124gr & 147gr. Before I started shooting PCC, I would get 147gr. Now that I shoot pistol and PCC, I shoot their 124gr Concave Recess base. They also carry Montana Gold. I've tried most of the major manufacturers from Berrys, RMR, Blue Bullets, Montana Gold & Bayou just to name a few. For me, Everglades is top notch!
  17. Absolutely ridiculous prices. I was at the gun show Saturday, and ammo prices seem lower. I was also at Bass Pro where the prices looked similar. I'm used to buying 5k primers for $150. Those days are gone. I guess it's time to start babying my 7k primers.
  18. Why mess with small 17 round mags during a reload? I do the opposite. My setup is 2 DAA mag pouches with PCC extensions. One large mag is canted about 30 degrees and placed directly at my midline. My primary mag with MBX extension 47/48 round is canted and placed at 9 o'clock on my belt. Just like pistols, PCC's sometime have issues with mags, bullets or whatever then what? I practice reloads just in case. This way, you're covered and not trying something new on the fly.
  19. +1 for the same reasons. Always tumble post loading.
  20. I ordered the TF Brass Backstrap. What guide rod/spring and which Talon Grips?
  21. Have you tried as different buffer spring?
  22. I'm still researching guiderods, but I did see a video of Robin Taylor explaining the brass backstrap. I have one on order. I still haven't shot the gun yet, but I've noticed that the slide stop does stick out for me too. I have a high grip and I'll see it if interferes. I'm left handed. so, if I lay the gun down, it's usually laying with the mag release up.
  23. I picked up this beauty along with a Holosun 507 today. I'm not new to CZ P10 or optics. My EDC is a P10c with the Theta trigger. I'm just used to PCC. I also have my M&P out being milled for an optic which I'll probably let me son use. With that being said, what upgrades did you put in your P10F and why?
  24. 20 yard zero to coincide with the top of the dot.
