Could it be that they were the tubes STI or SV made for Para Ord guns?

Yes these are really nice, and not likely to break where the pin meets the side like cast parts.

It is hard to argue with Wilson mags period. They are notorious for working in every gun, all the time, for a long time. The 47D is a staple, but the ETM is the nicest thing ever to happen to your single stack pistol. They also reload with 8 rounds like most mags would with 6. That is the only reason to go with them, they are the best, they are proven, and they are available. It isn't just ACT, but Kimber, Colt, Promag, and many other factory mags just won't hold up to hard use. If you want your stuff to work 100% all the time, use the best.

The closer your dominance, and the more target focus you have, the more likely this is to happen. If you focus hard on the target, you may want to read what is written about front sight focus and shot calling here on the forum. With practice, and with a consistent presentation to the target, it will get easier to ignore the second image. The more you focus on the front sight, and the faster you pick it up, the easier it gets. If you cannot pick up on it, try a piece of clear tape in the lens of your non-dominant eye for a while. This forces the focus on the dominant eye to increase, and the second image goes away. Then, over time, make the tape smaller and eventually remove it. I have always shot both eyes open on pistols, rifles, shotguns, even magnified optics. It is not essential to success, but it is much easier if you can do it.

My girlfriend names some of her guns, and I have named other peoples guns, but never my own. I never name the hammers or screwdrivers either.

All Bedell open guns ship with the Sidewinder slide racker ball and detent affixed to the slide. It never gets loose, but is easily removeable by just pulling it out to the left. That is why Boz's works so well. Brad, Dan can do this mod to your factory gun, but your custom gun will already have this feature built in when you get it.
