I'm have a shotgun only match planned. I was wondering if there was scoring system for shotgun that is a bit more versatile than shotgun in EZ Winscore. Anybody have any suggestions? Thanks, Shaun

Does anybody know of a place to get stencils that one might use for IDPA, or do people usually make their own? Thanks, Shaun

I totally agree. I think we all want new shooters to have a good time and be safe so that they come back. More experienced shooters should know better and only get a "stop". A couple years ago, I did have a new shooter give me a dirty look when I said muzzle to him. He DQ'd later that day (180). Haven't seen him since. I was thanked last Saturday for calling muzzle.

If they were charging him for the gun it would probably still be in evidence. A friend of mine had a 1911 recovered - he only got it back after the miscreant showed up with a severe case of lead poisoning while out on bail for the gun charge (the DA previously told him the gun had to be retained as evidence). Originally when they called me, they wanted to know how this guy got a hold of my weapon. Apparently, the serial number for the weapon was keyed incorrectly into the database from the theft report. Once they linked it with the theft report, I waited a couple months and the ATF agent told me that he was going to petition for a release of my property. A couple weeks later I got the call to pick it up, but they told me to keep the weapon handy for a few months in case they decide to prosecute him for the possession charge. That's depressing. I do hope somehow you get them back.

Thank you. Actually, they broke into my truck while I was in Salem. I was only there for about 45 min and they made off with my weapon, laptop, and a bunch of other stuff. I had a great day on Saturday. I hope it continues. I've been in a slump the last year.

Apparently, the perp, who is also a felon isn't getting charged with the firearm because there was a large amount of dope that he was caught with and they don't think he was the one that stole it. They believe it was bartered for dope and he tried to sell it to an undercover. I do agree with you about the sentencing provisions with the addition that the victim gets to pistol whip the convicted thief in public.

Got a call from the BATFE about two months ago telling me that they found my Glock 22, which was stolen along with a bunch of other possessions. They called me a week ago and told me to come down and pick it up. Really nice guys. Talked about shooting, competition, hunting, firearms, and we laughed a lot. They told me I was really lucky to get my weapon back, because a lot of the time people don't. As I went to leave the door was locked. The agent told me he had to open it for me, because when most people come into this room they usually don't get to leave. I guess I was one of the lucky ones.

I have several great tracks on my shooting play list, but Metallica - Fuel, Queens of the Stone Age - Millionare, and Motorhead's - Cradle to the Grave get me motivated. I try to avoid listening while driving...red and blue lights!

Found that out today. I guess I was full of piss and vinegar.
