  1. It isn't our fault you can't count past 6 without feeling the pressure.
  2. Yeah, that stage SUCKED I'm going to give the fatty another run sunday as well That sounds sort of dirty, give the fatty another chance!
  3. Steel1212 has a sweet 4" 625 with extras, totally ready to shoot with a really nice trigger in the classifieds. Priced really right for a custom too. The JM still needs trigger work, if you don't like the gold bead, a new sight, and really just has nice grips and a logo IMO.
  4. You had a solid match Corey. Don't sweat that classifier, it was early, cold, and our first stage. You hung tough the rest of the day, and I was sure you were close all day. Keep up the good work.
  5. OK, how many times has someone who we have never heard of won a stage at Nationals, or ended up in the shootoffs? Performance on one stage is not representative of ability on another. You can look at my major match performances and see top finishes on one, and be DFL on another. I do agree however, that there must be a way to properly arbitrate third party scoring errors. The trouble is that many times it looks humanly impossible to shoot a stage in a given time, then we see Daniel Horner do it for real, right in front of us. If a stage is shot by lots of top shooters in 12 seconds, and someone records a 3 second time, then there is obviously a problem, but I wouldn't think those would get past the scorekeeper.
  6. That explains why you didn't call me back this afternoon. Sorry to hear about that Jim. I hope you all return safe, sound, and soon.
  7. Me: Dude, there's no gun in here. Joe: What do you mean? Me: Dude, there's no gun in here. Joe: There's no gun in there? Me: Dude, there's no gun in here. Helpful Hint #1R: Next time you stand in the rain for an hour to shoot rifle for money, bring your rifle. Sure carrying around that drag bag full of mags and stuff makes you look cool, but you may want your rifle too.
  8. Magpul MIAD with the largest insert, DPMS with the tang and palm swell, or the SAW grip.
  9. Looks like signs ups are going pretty good, and the organization leading up to the match is really well done. The stages are impressive especially with the amount of long range rifle targets. Now if I can keep my shotgun running it should be a great match. #1 reasonably powered factory ammo #2 positive thoughts #3 backup gun? I fixed mine after A6 too. Good luck out there.
  10. "Everyone who is anyone knows that all the premier ninja schools are in Georgia."
  11. Congratulations buddy, now you are playing in the deep end. I knew you would make it. I suppose we cannot call you bagger anymore. Way to go.
  12. Wow, what a great time! Thanks to all who made this happen. It was nice seeing my old friends and making some new ones. Squad 6, a real class act, I will shoot with you gents anywhere anytime. I learned something valuable, Benelli recoil springs wear out after you abuse them for 7 or 8 years, who would have guessed that. The rifle stage absolutely rocked, as did all of the others too. Thanks again.
  13. Do a search, there are lots of threads on this here on the forums. In my experience, I can get the Wilson 47D to run 100% with 8 rounds of .40 in them, but about 33% with 9. The 47NX is designed for .40, so unless you have a lot of .45 mags already...
  14. In my experience you can fire real guns in your subdivision and never hear from your neighbors. People in general are self-involved enough to not notice anything in plain sight, especially if it is quiet. I would just do it, and deal with the neighbors one on one if they have concerns. My guess is if you show them what you are doing, they will think it is harmless and maybe even cool.
  15. They work as slick as glass, and so far so good. While they don't feel indestructable, at this capacity, they seldom hit the ground, and when they do, it is falling like 4 feet. I haven't stepped on one yet, as I have never had to reload it. I think the additional round, lighter weight, and reduced cost make this a winner. I had one of the prototypes, and it has been in my bag and running with 48 in it from day one. I don't have it with me today, but I did one on a FDE Maglevel and numbered it on both sides. This is my go to mag above 28 rounds evey time.
  16. It's always an awkward moment for me when the shooter assumes the start position. I start to say "ARE Y.." then they "practice the grab". Me too.
  17. Sometimes, just sometimes, it is like a hundred years pass when this is going on at the line. There is something said for making your LAMR routine the same every time, and Brian talks about this in his book to an extent, but it seems a little self involved if everyone else is waiting while you practice.
  18. It is a nervous tick that would go away if they would just relax, take drugs, and get therapy!
  19. In my experience, Wilson 47D 8 round mags will work in the .40 with 8 rounds, but will not work with 9 rounds.
