  1. FLAT TOP CUT, DEEP FRONT AND REAR COCKING SERRATIONS, TOP STRAP SERRATIONS, REAR SLIDE SERRATIONS, CARRY BEVEL MELTING, AND FRENCH CUTS ON THE SLIDE ARE ALL OK, AND ALL REDUCE WEIGHT. FLUTES ON THE OTHER HAND, CANNOT SERVE ANY OTHER FUNCTION.
  2. WARNING, NOT MY PROFESSIONAL ADVICE, NOT STI'S, AND NOT SHOOTERS CONNECTION'S! That said, when it happened to one of my STI's, a contact in customer service at STI told me to take my brass hammer and strike each front corner of the sight body enough to bend in the corners near the pin. It worked, and didn't damage the gun or the sight. He had said I could send it to him, but this was a much easier fix. USE A BRASS HAMMER, DO NOT BEAT IT WITH A 10LB SLEDGE.
  3. Wow, I step away from the PC for the weekend, and you have heart surgery! I wondered where you were Sunday, but I didn't get to ask anyone because I was too busy shooting my worst. I am now wondering what the hurry was for the recent order, did you take your stuff to and from the hospital in the new range bag? Glad to hear it went well Joel, and hope your return to the range is as fast you want it to be.

  5. Kurt, both the Dawson and the Ed Brown look to be very high quality.

2.739 @ Kroger last night! I almost hate that I am excited about that. What a quandry.

  10. I think shooting different platforms forces focus and keeps us from getting into a rut with our usual competition pistol. As long as you are aligning the sights and pressing a trigger, it is beneficial in my opinion. You may want to read about the things the pros have done to force focus in Brian's book, and here on the forum. For me, changing guns always makes me perform better when I return to my usual gun.
  11. My vote is for an ISMI 12.5# and never replace it, really, ever.
  12. MAYBE THEY MISUNDERSTOOD AND THOUGHT THEY SAID IRA
  13. As soon as the mods figure out what DNC spells....
  14. +1 ON PROGRESSIVE MACHINE, THE ADHESIVE IS WAY TOUGHER THAN YOU THINK, IF YOU HAVE TO DRILL AND TAP, THEN USE THE NORDIC, NOT THE NODIC, THAT MAY HURT.
  15. My competition rifle has a Hogue, my SBR a Magpul MIAD, my Carbine an Ergo. I am surprised no one mentioned Tango Down. I have found that any of these work just as well for me as the others, but I really hate the GI grip.
  16. Clyde the movie star indeed.
  17. My Volquartsen SuperLite shoots as well as a good 52, 40x, or Anshutz. It likes most any standard velocity ammo, but Wolf Match Target stands out with the sub .25 inch groups. I like all of my .22s and conversions. My favorite .22 handgun is my S&W pre-18 .22 Masterpiece.
  18. OK so I am a little proud. I told him this morning we would celebrate for a minute, then start working on B class.
  19. I called them today and they still make it. They are going to run it in the next two weeks. I ordered some for personal use in my Bedell Shorty. My girlfriend has been shooting it for the past 1000 rounds, and we like it alot.
  20. The longer CR speed revolver holster can be shortened to fit a 5", and the short one will work out to 6.5". We tried this at the shop the other day with 25-2 6.5" and a 625 5" in both holsters. I have them both in stock.
