  1. +3 for the JP options. Tough to beat their reputation, quality, or CS/support in the industry. And, the GMR's just run...and run...
  2. I did my research and I'm very pleased with mine. Have had it for about 6 months. When I did the "Get Loaded" deal, I got the additional 4 10rd mags. Was able to get hits on 10" steel at 100yds with my reloads. Gun has run great with factory ammo. My reloads are touch light for the stock recoil spring. Trigger can be cleaned up pretty easily. Sights are quite seviceable, but the factory piece of fiber rod is kinda lame and not really red at all. I thinks it's a win. Hate that the OP didn't catch that the gun is NOT a "1911" and the entire point of the EMP is to be 1911-like and scaled to 9mm cartridge length and slightly more compact than a "real" 1911. Very well executed for the price point in my mind.
  3. Ain't none o' you boys ever shot a Hi-Point? That's where it's at!!!
  4. Not many limits on holster in Limited. Rulebook spells out other details, but basically just has to cover the triggerguard
  5. He's referring to "Precision Bullets" in Kemp, TX. Coated(not hitek) cast. They are the shizzzz!
  6. This is what I have on my 9mn Faxon barrel myself. Nice and light. And maybe it helps a tiny bit too...

    9mmmags

The Dawsons have been my favorite for sure. I've tried Wilson and Tripp 10rd 9mm mags and even tried one of the Chip XP9's or whatever they call em. The Dawson's are where it's at! Got occasional failures to feed with Wilsons. The Tripps would allow the top round in the mag to ride forward on the bottom of the slide, and then the mag wouldnt drop because that top round would hang up. Dont recall what the snag was with the XP9, but I let it go too. All of them are a little challenging to unload by hand, but thats not a big concern for me.

No intent to get this shut down by turning it into a discussion, but I couldn't agree with you any more. +Infinity
  9. They are quite expensive and subjected to some significant abuse at times in 3Gun. CF doesnt really like to get banged onto/into stuff a lot. Nicks in the outer surface create weak spots over time. Nothing wrong with them at all, but the Nordic tubes get it done and have plenty of options to add/adjust/adapt for different matches and situations for less money. If you wanna spend the coin on the Lancer, go for it. They look damn cool. Likely that your scores will benefit more from using the difference in cost for more practice shells though.
  10. The difference between a working trigger and insane frustration in these 9mm AR's is but thousandths of an inch dimensionally...
  11. Very cool. I have a "custom" Switchview that is uniquely contoured from a trip into a dump barrel. This is good.
  12. This is very helpful indeed!
  13. I thought the procedure was to just buy from them/JP...?
  14. I haven't had any issues with the light bullets even down to 35grs. That said, I am using the rounds with LW carriers and light buffers. I started with my 55gr hoser charge of 19.5grs of H335, but got some failures to fully cycle. For me, I was OK once I got to 21.5-22grs of 335. YMMV...
  15. Whole squad should have to reshoot it as it wasn't the same stage for all match competitors.
  16. Should make for a hefty little shootin' iron.
  17. Not going wrong with any of those options. Really just boils down to what you think you will be happiest with in the end. Guess my suggestion would be to lay your hands on a few and try to see and maybe even shoot one of each. The factory setup leaves a bunch to be desired, but that's where I started myself. Then added a TacSol upper and Cmore. As usual, YMMV
  18. Could you get someone to print you the different plates with a 3D printer?
