  1. All nice shoes, trying to get away from those 3 figure shoes that wear out so quickly.
  2. First off, I have been a long time user of the Salomon Speedcross 3 and 4. Loved that shoe but the tight toe box limited the type of sock I could wear when using them. So I decided to try the Hellcat. Wore 9.5 in Salomon, ordered the same size in Boombah. Just as comfortable as the Salomon with the same aggressive tread, slightly wider so my foot felt more comfortable. I noticed no movement of my foot over the 15 stages I shot over Saturday and Sunday. Other than the usual fatigue of moving that much, my feet did feel better than the same amount with the Salomon's. Not a knock on the Speedcross, just pointing out they don't run as wide and moving up another half size did not change anything other than the shoe was not as good a fit anymore. All in all, I like this shoe, have not run it in inclement weather and others have commented that on a wet floor, they are slippery, so until I hit a wet fault line at speed, I won't know how they behave. My one complaint about the shoe - white shoelaces. Come on, give me a choice of colors or just put black laces on all of them.
  3. Their clearance is only 39.99, an even more reasonable.
  4. Got a pair of clearance Hellcats, going to try them this weekend. Walking around the house and yard with them, they feel a bit more comfortable than my Speedcross 4's, but there is more room in the toe-box on the hellcats, my biggest gripe about the SC 4's over the 3's. Size-wise, more true to fit. We'll see what they do.
  5. Ah, you must have shot East Huntingdon. Welcome to the party!
  6. If I recollect, there is more to making USPSA and IPSC similar in Production that just the magazine capacity. Modifications, OEM parts, trigger pull weights, all that lovely stuff.
  7. Updated USPSA rules for Production and CO allow for this now. Dremel away!
  8. Dovetail mount for a few months, then got an MOS. Difference in sight height is minimal, both shoot fine.
  9. No rubbung against or interference with the powder tube on a 650? My Mini Bullet Feeder tubes brush very close to the powder tube, not sure if a larger one has enough clearance.
  10. I had the flexmoney barber pole inside my Glock. Once they made the rule change, out it went.
  11. Had the issue, got the alignment tool, tore it down, re-aligned, seems to be fine now.
  12. Seeing holsters and mag carriers creeping more and more forward in production and CO, guess the competitors had hip bone surgery to move them into a more advantageous position. RO's or people who are RO'ing don't seem to be paying any attention to it at the local level or they just don't care to get into a discussion about equipment placement - or they just don't know since they don't shoot it. While my eyes have forced me into the CO arena, my head is still production after so many years of shooting it and it is some of the first things I see when I get to a match. Like you, I have no problem adjusting to a rules change, but it does not appear to be consistent or communicated to the rank and file in a consistent manner that is relatively free of interpretation. Like Sarge said, lightening does not require holes.
  13. I asked similar questions of Troy and came away thinking that any of these are lightening the slide, you don't need a hole to do that. It is material that is being removed after all. As for iron sights on the gun, well, it is an Optics division and if the dot goes away, I'd guess having irons on the gun would be a competitive advantage, but hey, what do I know.
  14. Running a double layer designed for a G34 but also accommodates a G17. Perfect fit, incredibly pleased. Like someone said above, never will buy a mass produced holster again.
  15. Well done, would be interesting if they did do a sequel.
  16. Thanks, I get the same occasional problem, using the U die, but found if I slow down, make sure the roller handle is pushed forward the whole way and not short cycling, the problem stops.
  17. I don't think it would be very easy, but if you want to know for sure contact Zev
  18. I found the 10 round limit to be fine, kept some of the challenge of stage strategy. Sorry to see it add 140 mags, but still enjoy it. Should be Production Optics, not Carry Optics. No to the magwell, race holster, mag and holster placement changes and no to the trigger race.

  20. I use the mini, works fine once you get it set up. Just have to remember your "set points", when to switch to the next tube. I run Zero 9mms, iirc I can get 97 in/on the tubes. Have to check. I am, though, thinking of the bigger beast to put on the 650.
  21. Open up SS to allow any single stack pistol to play, not just 1911. My SIG 225, while only 8+1, isn't allowed to play in SS because it is not 1911.
