  1. If/when I take mine and run it at a match, I know I will get a crap-ton of comments about why I should have bought an AR platform, then I'd hear the litany of triggers/handguards/buffer/spring blah, blah, blah. I wanted a PCC that was like my Glock. Runs out of the box acceptably, I can tweak it as I see fit and just have fun with it. Will I take HOA or win in PCC, hell no, but I also shoot to have fun.
  2. True, but rule changes that just pop up when they decide to change something is not really acceptable, and as was stated, there has not been a statement as to the frequency of changes or how the membership will be notified.. Evergreen can also mean ever-changing....
  3. This TandemKross video on installing their trigger gives you a good idea. Yeah, the OP is old, but it is still a good video.
  4. They admit the trigger doesn't do anything insofar as decreasing pull which is why I have opted to not get it. The MCarbo spring will be here tomorrow so I will put it in and give it a try. VQ stated that they will be coming out with a trigger kit first quarter of so of '19.
  5. From the USPSA FB page: Kevin McPhee So an update on this. NO printed copies will be made USPSA, Members my take the pdf and have it printed for personal use.
  6. Checked with my AD, he stated he thought an announcement of changes would be posted on the web page, but he is verifying that. I can use the pdf/app version but also prefer a paper version for ease of showing a competitor what rule is addressed as opposed to him/her leaning over my shoulder and wanting to grab my phone to read it. This will be a learning process in a lot of ways. I work with 2 hospital systems, both of whom state they are paperless...I use more paper now than I did before.
  7. Not sure if it was addressed, but how will the rank and file be notified that their electronic version was updated and what is the change?
  8. Looks like Brownells is only for the 17 and 19.
  9. I saved money by choosing not to buy a 2011....
  10. I'm surprised magpul hasn't entered that market. Their new mags for glock has been well received, if anyone would give it a try, I think they could.
  11. I believe I had to go with the shorter scores from the shop, not the standard. Gun past 2 inches.
  12. Invite him here to educate us on how we can get them.
  13. Depends where you live, while some states require coverage for children, less than a handful require hearing aid coverage for adults.
  14. Nice. Mine doesn't cover hearing aids in any way, shape or form.
  15. Now i'd like to know how they did that one.
  16. Used my mini for a number of years, have 5 sets of tubes, on a 650. Worked well for the longest time - several years, then a few tubes didn't work as well as they used to. I attribute it to temp changes in my garage as I stored them there with the press and hot summers and cold winters apparently took a toll on how well some of them rotated or dropped rounds. All in all became one more thing I had to pay attention to as I had to count rounds to be sure to turn the tube to the next set of rounds. Look up, look down, look left, look right. So I stopped using it, kept the funnel in place in the powder die and just load by hand. Almost as fast, really haven't lost any time to it. Money I could have put back and put towards the adult version....

    Mini boom

I have extra G34 barrels and have run them from time to time in both of my pistols with no issues. But then I've had occasions (mostly) where I have had no issues with the original barrels. Remember, these 8 are spread between 2 similarly set gen4 glock 34's run weekly from March through October. Usually shoot a match twice, switching guns. Chances of both barrels having issues is unlikely, I've not had it happen during any live fire plinking, just matches, so it's either me or the brass. 8 out of many thousands shot leads me in that direction. I do appreciate the perspective of other shooters. I'll make a number of adjustments, run with a different lot of brass and see what happens.

GJM, a very plausible explanation. I have considered that given my grip. Doesn't exactly explain why it has never happened when I shot production for years, nor did I have a single occurrence last season with the exact same gun(s), but beside bad brass, I can't see it being a barrel issue. I've been reworking my grip over this off season so far, could very well be the culprit. Finding I'm not keeping a consistent firm grip with the support hand. Starts good, but I catch it fading away. As I look back on the occurrences, always towards the end of a stage, never the beginning.

It's a 9mm, not a. 40. I've been shooting glocks for over 15 years and I have had eight, 8 instances, all this past season.
  20. Came across this one: https://www.tandemkross.com/Victory-Trigger-for-Ruger-PC-Carbine_p_514.html
  21. Thanks, looks like their HP Action Kit. Very helpful and greatly appreciated.
  22. So which kit and parts did you both or either of you use from Volquartsen?
