  1. I have to run some more rounds through the gun. Too cold out right now, been dry firing right to get a feel for it, not used to that straight style trigger after decades of Glocks. If I had to answer right now I would say no, but until I can get out or to an indoor range to drop a few hundred rounds, I can't say for sure.
  2. VQ is planning a trigger kit , just not out yet. You'd have to buy the 10/22 kit for 130 or so and would use a few parts, not worth it in my opinion. I installed the MCarbo 2 spring kit and it improved the trigger. I added the TandemKross trigger - made no difference to pull but changed the feel. Not sure if I will keep it on or not. As you see, I have the magwell, a different brand of brake and an older fastfire 2 on mine with a homemade mount for the sight.
  3. Good question, there do not appear to be any mail controls.
  4. I installed the MCarbo two spring kit, dropped the trigger to 3 pounds. I'm sure that stone/polish on the sear assembly should drop it a touch more.
  5. If you need a beta tester, I am available....
  6. I had the mini Mr. Bullet feeder and it was "pretty reliable" but I may give this new toy a try.
  7. Hmmmm. Looking forward to more on this. Saw a post elsewhere where a machinist made an adapter and is using aero precision handguards that are modified to fit. 9" and 12". $150-180 range. Some places to hang things - laser, lights, sideways sight.
  8. 147 zero jhp, 3.3-3.4 grains titegroup, 1.132 138 pf 125 zero jhp 4.2 titegroup, 1.132 140 PF G34 likes it hotter. To the OP, remember you are loading for YOUR gun, YOUR shooting style, YOUR preferred recoil impulse, not for anyone else. If it works for you and you like it, go for it.
  9. I remember seeing someone use pipe cleaners along the bottom to hold them in.
  10. Can't say yet, just got it and installed it. Taccom had been out of stock and I didn't want to wait.
  11. My main reason, aside from price, in getting the Ruger. I can place low with a $500 gun that runs all the time versus place low with a $1500 gun that doesn't run well all the time.
  12. I put on one from Primary Weapons system. Nothing fancy or super expensive. I also have the Taccom magwell and button magazine release. Picked up an extended charging handle from Galloway Precision.
  13. LOL, was wanting the same thing. While you have to clean it, I just ran a bore snake through it after 400 rounds. Works fine, have to see what it can handle. It's almost like the carbine that Glock should have made.
  14. Made my own from an H&R Pardner picatinny rail that I cut down. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00IGICMVS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o04__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 The holes were an exact match. I cut the rail to just cover the mount area and uses the existing Ruger screws. Need to be sure of your alignment but it has held up well. I have been in touch with Brian (who shoots at our clubs) about a thinner rail that sits lower, more like a dovetail mount on a hand gun, to lower the sight radius so it is closer to the bore axis. While I use a Vortex Venom on my Glock MOS for Carry Optics, I have a couple of Burris Fastfires, put one on an adapter an placed it on the rail. I like it but want it even lower.
  15. Looks nice, but the front and rear sights were the first things I removed when I got the rifle, put an adapter on the rear sight platform and mounted a mini red dot.

  17. This - beat me to it!! It can be difficult for RM's/MD's/CRO's/RO's to keep up with it as we are tasked with enforcement at the matches, god knows about the folks who shoot but pay no attention to the rules. Calling them adjustments or reinterpretations to justify the catering to the whining masses will cause greater angst and force more to ask what are we getting for our money. I love the game, not the greatest at it and my better days are possibly behind me, but we need some time of stability. Commit to a schedule and for the love of Pete, KEEP IT. But I'd do like Gary does and simply reprint the thing as necessary, grumbling under my breath the whole time.
  18. A question asked many times and yet to be answered....
  19. If/when I take mine and run it at a match, I know I will get a crap-ton of comments about why I should have bought an AR platform, then I'd hear the litany of triggers/handguards/buffer/spring blah, blah, blah. I wanted a PCC that was like my Glock. Runs out of the box acceptably, I can tweak it as I see fit and just have fun with it. Will I take HOA or win in PCC, hell no, but I also shoot to have fun.
  20. True, but rule changes that just pop up when they decide to change something is not really acceptable, and as was stated, there has not been a statement as to the frequency of changes or how the membership will be notified.. Evergreen can also mean ever-changing....
  21. This TandemKross video on installing their trigger gives you a good idea. Yeah, the OP is old, but it is still a good video.
  22. They admit the trigger doesn't do anything insofar as decreasing pull which is why I have opted to not get it. The MCarbo spring will be here tomorrow so I will put it in and give it a try. VQ stated that they will be coming out with a trigger kit first quarter of so of '19.
