  1. A little slow and as years go by temperamental. Most who have one know that the expense will also increase considerably.
  2. I see this with my TG cases, my WST cases on the other hand are spotless!!!
  3. Just got mine last night!! What a beautiful young lady. Best I've ever seen a Square Deal B look!!!!
  4. Do a search and you should find a lot of information on this subject. The net of it will be that you feed lip dimension on your mags is pretty critical and if you are a reloader you will probably find yourself loading to a length at 1.200" or longer. For .40 S&W that's not all that unusual. I am assuming that you are running the .40 mags so your length may be slightly limited by mag length. Most here run the 10mm mag for .40. You may also find it helpsul to polish the slide breech face as well as the feed ramp. Again, there is a bunch of information in the forum on making these guns run well.
  5. I really hate to use red loctite on small parts. I set mine with blue and will see how that works out. In most cases will small parts it's more than enough.
  6. Being hit by the edge of the slide??
  7. If the end of the world is coming in 2012 not sure how any of this is going to happen..
  8. Got my trigger this morning, great piece of work Henning, can't wait to try it out. For those that have not dealt with Henning before I give you this: I ordered this trigger on Friday evening 5pm, was notified that it was being shipped an hour later and received the trigger in my mail this morning with just standard shipping charges!!! I've dealt with a lot of different big and small name suppliers for several different makes of guns and have never seen this quality of service. I have several hundreds of dollars spread over 6 different orders with Hennings shop and all have been the same experience. In one case I got a call from Henning confirming that my order would be correct so I would not be disappointed when the order was received. To add to that you get a nice personal handwritten note from Emma thank you for your order!! This is the way business is supposed to be done and how EAA should be doing it. I've never met these people but feel that if I walked up to Henning at a match and introduced myself it would be like talking with someone I know. I wear a Hennings shirt at my local matches with pride, although I represent it poorly with my performance!!! Thanks for the service to this point and for the goodies I'll continue to purchase in the future. Rod.
  9. Ok Henning I bit and just ordered one. With the work involved in design and build that is a very reasonable price offering. If it doesn't fit me I won't feel guilty about getting in there and modding it. I have a match Sat that I won't get a chance to use it in but with the next being mid December here in Vt the extra room in the trigger guard will give me a little more "wiggle" room!!! Thanks again Henning....
  10. Looks like it will help out the small hand/short finger guy's out. I'll have to try one out to determine how it feels to us large hand long fingered clan. I like the idea of not having to drive that damn trigger pin out / in for service!!!!
  11. I do the same thing, no matter how hard I try not to. The first couple of shots are ok but the death grips slowely works it's way in. During dry fire practice I can control it but once the recoil is added at the range I just fall apart. I need more live fire time at the range and the stress of matches more than once a month..... Practice, practice, practice.
  12. Yup, learned the suck factor of that one the first time I slid the primer tray out and the tape peeled a row of primers out and left then dangling.......
  13. You don't have matches over the winter??? Below freezing temps and running thru snow trenches brings a new dimension to your shooting skills!!!!
  14. Been there!! When your first getting started it seems there is a ton of information to sift through everytime you step up to the line. I still remember my first classifier. When done the RO, a cool old dude, looked at me shaking his head and said with a slight grin " There's no way to score this and make it feel good"!! I just started to laugh. It was obvious I scored a 0 and the penalty count was higher than the hits. Classifier was CM 99-14 Hoser Heaven and I have not had to shoot it since but know when I do it will be much better than the 1st time.. Take it in stride and just keep working to improve. I'm only and "C" shooter after a little over 20 matches but still improve, learn and enjoy at every match.
  15. As many have found out in other circumstances, if you are the person pulling the trigger no matter what the circumstances, you alone are responsible for the outcome. Because this is a shooting sport I'm sure the lawyers we see it no different, wrong death or injury. Before making ready it is in the shooters best interest (and personal responsibilty) to know if the range is "really clear". I'm sure this could be disputed many times over but in reality I feel it is what it is. (Yes, my opinion) Language barrier should not be a factor!!!!
  16. You will get fewer replies if you ask who doesn't use one............
  17. I recently switched my jacketed 180gr load over to WST from titegroup. I've had to load over the "book" specs to make major as others have noted but won't turn back. I find the recoil a nice compomise between Titegroup and Clays without the overpressure risks I've heard about with Clays. No indication of overpressure or case seperation with my load. I'm running a Tanfoglio Limited 5", 180gr Zero FMJ with 5.0gr WST to be over major PF with my 1.190 OAL. I also like how well the WST meters on my 550B. I just recieved 4lbs from Wideners in 3days so at this point availability and price is still reasonable.
  18. Would love to save some money and try Black Bullets International Cast coated 180gr bullets in my Limited. Anyone here tried these and what kind luck have you had? I've heard good and bad with the use of these in guns with Polygonal rifling. I typically clean with every range session anyways so I'm more worried about build up and accuracy issues. Thanks.
  19. Wow, how much were they selling once fired for.. Just couln't resist.....
  20. Dryer sheet with a few drops of Nu Finsish car wax on it works for me. I also tumble the loaded ammo the same way and I get shiny smooth rounds to play with.
  21. Wow, that's scary to even think about. I'm sure the RO was really questioning him/herself after that. Was this a large squad??? Large field course??? Almost makes you want a wall with tags on it. If your tag is not in place, your not accounted for. We run what are probably on average squads of 8-10, fairly easy to keep track of everyone. . I've seen RO's take a walk around before setting up the next shooter. May be a good practice for the RO to stay downrange during / after scoring until it is all clear. Not being an RO not sure what the best procedure would be but I shure would not want to end up in that kind of situation.
  22. I'm not at a skill level to critque your movement but I will comment on your R.O. I've never seen an R.O. stand behind a shooter in such a way where the handgun cannot be seen. During your reloads he's not even in a position where he can tell if your finger is in the trigger guard. I would think indoors an AD would be a big concern so that would be a critical thing to watch. Was this a match or just set up for filming towards improvement?? Just struck me as odd, thats all.
  23. We're still holding out hope for a .40 long post shot show 2010..... Please!!!!! The M&P will give her some options with the grip inserts.
