  1. Spare parts have not been an issue for me, I bought 2. Really, Speed Shooters Specialties has had anything I've needed with a good turn around. Guess it depends on what your going to use it for. In production mode I would suspect having a spare striker, mag springs, mag base and followers would be fine and are readily available.
  2. Henning, Got the new T in the mail, looks great!!! Any chance you will offer a polo or Tech Wear style comp shirt in the future? I'm not a National's grade shooter but being the only one at the matches I attend in our region running a Tanfoglio I'd have no problem showing everyone where the best tech and parts come from for these guns emblazoned across the shirt... "Walgrens, The Prescrition For Winning"!!!! Yeah, I'd pay good money for that. Probably a good place for a Zoot Shooter gangsta style silkscreen also!!!! Others, chime in with ideas.........
  3. Come up with a schedule that works for you and stick to it. Changing up your dry fire routine is also a big help, don't keep practicing the same way every time. Also, don't overdue it. I find if I keep my routine short it is less of a chore. Of course I'm a lowley "C" shooter so every little bit helps. Oh, and I have a TV in the basement..

    CLUB WORK DAYS

Man, your lucky to get 15. We run 10 or less with a similar size club. I must admit I work every other weekend but am there on my weekends off before a match and have used a full day's vacation a couple of times to help also. Some people enjoy the sport but not the work. Personally I would like to see a discount to the shooters who help out but all that does is take money out of the clubs pocket.. Helpers names in a hat, drawing for prizes at the mid / end of the year maybe.... Right now you would probably get all kinds of help if you could raffle off some primers!!!!
  5. Yup, sounds like mag feedlip problem. Just went thru this with my limited in .40. With a round in the mag it should be difficult to force the case up thru the feedlips. If you have the means, size up a few rounds without powder/primer and try adjusting the lips untill you get them to manually cycle the way you want...
  6. +1 on the EGW .40 U- die, love it.....
  7. Glad it worked for you also, simple fix!!!!
  8. I pack my limited mags pretty tight. I just got in the habit of pulling the mag and checking this because my second round tends to get pulled all the way forward in the mag when I chamber the first round. I move the round back with my thumb and re-insert the mag. This got rid of a few fails I had with the 2nd round chambering with difficulty. Probably in need of some finer tuning on the mag but I'm just not that sharp yet and this seems to work for me...
  9. Congrats.. Time to purchase a new gun to celebrate!!!!!
  10. I ran into this also. I added a 1/4" shim to the bottom retaining screw between the holster and drop blade. Being on the bottom this kicked the grip back in more than enough. It also allows for a bit smoother draw since the holster now hangs straighter.
  11. Personal preference if they go bang. I prefer CCI, Federal but recently switch to Wolf's SPP and they have worked well. Add me to the list of seating issues (approx 1 /100) with the new Wolf SPP's. Still happy with them for the price though. I would be interested in knowing strike pressure to make each mfg's ignite.
  12. Open DIVISION Nemo, I hear ya!!! But wouldn't any Group of hanguns built for a certain Division be considered a "class" of handguns???? Thread drift pending.................................
  13. I'd buy a 22 conversion today even if the price was a little high, as long as the quality was there......
  14. All of your powder is bad!!! Please PM me and I'll send you an address you can ship it to at your expense.. Last 1# jug I purchased was the same greenish color.... Went bang fine and power facotr cal'ed out the same as previous jugs, Only ran off 50rds though.
  15. 9mm suitable for open class. (comp'ed) Hey, just to be different...
  16. Well, it's not a Tanfo but since the grips are similar........ Here a a set I just did for my brothers CZ TS. Base colors are Black, Deep Blue and Yellow to match CZ team colors... The arcing spray lines bring out the contour of the frame nicely... Guess I'll have to do my originals over!!!!!
  17. Looks like a good time for all.. Love to have a match like that in Vermont.. Mid winter @ 20below allows for some unique dress options.
  18. Will you be filling previous orders or do I need to re-order????? Rod. F.
  19. You indicated you are right handed and tried shooting with your left eye which indicates to me you may not know which is your dominate eye. Do a search on the forum and there is plenty of infor on how to determine that. What yardage are you shooting? Left low would be and idication your jerking the trigger. You state that sometimes you are on center so I'll assume it's not a sight issue. When you pull the trigger is it with the pad of your finger tip or are you in up to or past your first joint? You will probably be less likley to pull to the left if just using the pad. I'm sure you going to get a bunch of better replies but it will probably be control issues. Correct the technique with the responses your sure to get and practice. You'll be all set..
  20. My brass picker moonlights as a nose picker, butt scratcher.....
  21. We have a New shooters meeting at each match as I'm sure others do. This would be a good place to make sure everyone knows the protocal. Missing that, just look the line cutter in the eye and say "Please let me know when your finished". That usually gets the point across.

    John Cleese!

Unfortunatly, he only played a small bit part in the recent "The Day The Earth Stood Still". Would have been nice to see a little larger presence in the film.
  23. I tried a mix, didn't like it. Now walnut shells for case cleaning and the large corn cob media for a quick post loading polish. Cleans off the lube and leaves case and bullet very shiny Nu Finish Added)!!!
