vtecpaoche
I'm building an AR in 9mm. Primary usage will be plinking but I expect it to see some matches in PCC or Steel matches in the future. What optics are you using for PCC? I'm considering a red dot like the PA Advanced Micro Dot but wanted to see what other options I should consider before I buy something only to realize it was a mistake. Warkitz
I'm really partial to the trijicon rx30. It's big ugly exterior hides a nice orange dot. Plus you never have to worry about batteries. Edited December 26, 2015 by Warkitz
2MoreChains
I'm in the same boat. I have a PA micro dot and a C-more with railway mount that I'll probably experiment with to see which one I like better.
mscott
I have a C More on mine and really like it. It's really good for steel challenge type stuff and works fine out to 100 yards on steel at the local 3 gun matches as well. I ran a 2 minute dot last year and it worked pretty well. Might try a 4 min. module this year, though. I had a Fastfire III on the carbine prior to the C More and had no issues with it either. Seems like about any of them will work, but I prefer the open style sights to a tube. My carbine is a Just Right Carbine in 9mm. I have one in .45, but haven't shot it as much. Light700
I also have a cmore rail ride for 3 gun matches that don't shoot out past 100 yards. It is very fast to aquire the dot and it does not take up a large feild of view.
Chills1994
I didn't get in on the Black Friday deal, but I had read that PSA was selling the Vortex Strikefires for $160. The bonus is if the batteries die, the glass inside is still etched with some sort of reticle/crosshair/dot that you can still see without it being illuminated. Hoosiershooter
If I were buying new, the Trijicin MRO would be pick number 1. Huge fov and a nice crisp dot. Super fast. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
slbrugby
I've been running a vortex Sparc I on my PCC. Picked one up on sale at PSA paired with a blem lower before the Sparc II came out. I've been happy with it so far.
BigBamBoo
I have a Leupold Prismatic on my 9mm AR and find it to be just about perfect for me. My eyes suck and red dots do not work for me. Even with my Rx shooting glasses.
Stlhead
Micro on one and a c-more on another. Next new gets a MRO. I like the micro best so far.
Sarge
I have the Primary Arms micro dot but am also going to try a Cmore slideride when I put a new RTS2 on my Open gun.
wgj3
I've got a couple of the Vortex Spitfires now and have been very pleased with them. I think PSA may have a special on them right now for $140-150 or so.
ZackJones
My carbine is a Just Right Carbine in 9mm. I just got one of those in 9mm as well and I have a C-more I'm going to run on it. I run C-more red dots on all of my open guns and have been very happy with all of them.
v1911
PA red dots. I've had one on my race AR for 4 years now, no problems. Each year I pick up the newest generation. Have one on my .22 AR upper, .22 AR pistol, .22 2011 conversion and now my 9mm MPX. Yes, I have a .22 obsession.

Primary Arms Advanced Series red dot for me its a T1 H1 clone that has 50000 hours of battery life is damn near as bright as my T1 and it costs 169 vs 600 bucks. I love these red dots great value and they hold up. http://www.primaryarms.com/primary-arms-advanced-micro-dot-with-push-buttons-and-up-to-50k-hour-battery-life/p/kt-md-ads/ I have them on a lot of my AR's and now most recently I put one on my new JP 9mm carbine. Love that gun. Pat Edited December 27, 2015 by Alaskapopo

Any issues picking up the dot? 2 MOA seems tiny especially when I use 8 or 12 MOA dots in my C-More red dots.

You can always turn it up to the brightest setting and let it bloom for a bigger dot effect.

Kirkwoodious
I've run a vortex venom (think trig RMR) and liked the set up on an MPX. I was worried the dot would be hard to find, but with the right height mount my cheek weld put the dot in the perfect spot every time. Good option if you want to keep your PCC package compact. Sarge
I really like the spitfire I got in the mail yesterday. Nice reticle and really nice size for sitting on an AR.
