Thanks to all that have served! One of the biggest mistakes/regrets of my life - I can't say that I am a VETERAN! Here's to our veterans! Thank you for your sacrifice, service and selflessness!

Cheers!

I'll say the same thing I say to everyone. "I was a volunteer, I was there on my own free will, and it was a pleasure to serve--no thanks is necessary."

The real thanks is due to the ones who never came back. They're the ones that really deserve our thanks.

Huge +1! I can't express how deeply and sincerely I respect all vets and the sacrifices they have made. I try to instill this in my children every chance I get and explain to them that the reason they live in the greatest country on earth is the American vet. Thank you all for your service!

God Bless all of our Veterans

Past, Present, and Future

I was that which others did not want to be.

I went where others feared to go, and did what others failed to do.

I asked nothing of those who gave nothing,

and reluctantly accepted the thought of eternal loneliness should I fail.

I have seen the face of terror, felt the stinging cold of fear,

And enjoyed the sweet taste of a moments love.

I have cried, pained, and hoped,

But most of all I have lived times that others would say were best forgotten.

At least some day I'll be able to say that I was proud of what I was,

A Soldier.

The least we can do is say "Thank You" to Veterans of ALL NATIONS who gave us the freedom we sometimes take for granted.

THANK YOU!!

In Flanders Fields the poppies blow

Between the crosses row on row,

That mark our place; and in the sky

The larks, still bravely singing, fly

Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago

We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,

Loved and were loved, and now we lie

In Flanders fields.

To my fallen comrades/friends:

MAJ Chris Splinter

CPT Chris Soelzer

MAJ Bill Hecker

CPT Chris Petty

SFC Terry Wallace

Your memory lives on!

Will you tell me their stories the next time we shoot together...?

The support for our military these days, by the people and not necessairily the leadership, versus what I remember it was in years past makes me feel good about at least one direction that this country is traveling in. Americans supporting our AMERICAN WARRIORS, nothing finer..

To all those who stand between me and the bad guys (now and in the past), and to those who fell and were injured at this task, you have my prayers and deepest thanks. I pray that all those currently in bad guy places will be home this coming year to enjoy your families and some of that freedom that you so richly deserve.
