Had 2 case separations at a local match. Both rounds were on the 2nd stage I shot within a few rounds of each other. Both cases separated in roughly the same place and the next round pulled the partial case out during malfunction clearance. Same ammo ran flawlessly through the rest of the match. Test fired 10 rounds after this happened and no signs of excess pressure or unusual wear on the fired cases. Never had this happen before and the load is the same on I've used for quite a while. Hornady .55 fmjbt over 25 gr H335 in once fired brass. Most (about 95%) of my brass in LC but there are some other brands mixed in from time to time. Has anyone seen this type of separations with any particular headstamp of brass?
