  1. Shot my first PRS club level match this last weekend and a large portion of the shooters on my squad didn't wear eye pro while shooting. Is this acceptable in PRS matches??
  2. Registered for VA and WV. Took 20 minutes to get through so we'll see how it works out.
  3. Life was so much easier when you just had to mail your app in..................
  4. Majority of brass was fired from commercial AR's
  5. Had 2 case separations at a local match. Both rounds were on the 2nd stage I shot within a few rounds of each other. Both cases separated in roughly the same place and the next round pulled the partial case out during malfunction clearance. Same ammo ran flawlessly through the rest of the match. Test fired 10 rounds after this happened and no signs of excess pressure or unusual wear on the fired cases. Never had this happen before and the load is the same on I've used for quite a while. Hornady .55 fmjbt over 25 gr H335 in once fired brass. Most (about 95%) of my brass in LC but there are some other brands mixed in from time to time. Has anyone seen this type of separations with any particular headstamp of brass?
  6. Sounds like your scope may be mounted too far back also try some low profile muffs.
  7. I started running these after the Pro Am last year and they are great. I'll be ordering a few more here pretty soon.
  8. I have a dedicated 3 Gun long gun case and range bag. All my gear stays in there.
  9. Improvise, Adapt, and Overcome.....See ya at Rockcastle
  10. Just completed Pre 70 Colt by Accurate Armory and Mod 1.
  11. +1 on this. Stage design will take care of any "gaming" issues with slings.
  12. Today, I shot the 40rd PMag that Magpul provided at the 3GN Match in Tulsa. Works great just like the 30rd PMag's. I was hoping that it would be just the right height for mono podding but it's just a little too long for me. So far I've found the Surefire 60rd to be the best height for mono podding for me. I'll definitely be putting this in the range bag for those stages where 30 is just not quite enough. Thanks Magpul for your support of 3 Gun.
  13. This company makes an adapter that will allow you to mount any AR hand guard on your 15-22. I used one to mount a JP hand guard on mine and have been very happy with it. http://www.tacticool22.com/shop/smith-wesson-mp1522-free-float-handguard-converter-standard-p-14.html
  14. Won't be able to make this one, I'll be on the road back from Bianchi. Are they planning on having regularly scheduled 3 Gun Matches and if so is this the weekend of the month they're planning on??
  15. It's amazing what a difference a slight nuance can make. After just a few times the "wrist flip" move cut about a quarter second off my load 8 times and significantly reduced the flub factor. Thanks Tim
  16. Finally got a dedicated shotgun range session in and was able to put the quadload on a timer with live fire. Average times for shoot 1 load 8 shoot 1 were running 5.2 seconds to 5.6 seconds. Best time was a 4.8 and I had a few flubs that ran into the 6.5 to 7.0 second range. Also did several of Keith Garcia's load 12 drills with times of 9.86, 10.42, 10.81, 9.49, and the last one really came together at 8.99 seconds. Targets were 4" knock down plates at 10 yards. So far I'm really liking this system. I'm hoping there'll be some serious shotgun loading at the INMG match tomorrow so I can see how it works out in a match.
  17. I like that more shooters are jumping on the 3 Gun band wagon but, I'm not real keen on the whole "classification" idea for 3 Gun. One of the things that I really love about 3 Gun matches is that everyone shoots heads up with everyone else and the chips fall where they may. I would really hate to see a USPSA type classification system work its way into the sport. In my opinion, we do not need a 1st B Class award in 3 Gun so what's the point of having a classification system. Just my .02
  18. B&P are my first choice with Fiocchi coming in second.
  19. Another great 3 Gun at BGSL. Thanks to Greg and all the others that worked hard to put this match on. Had a great time shooting with lots of good friends on Squad 3.
