  1. Mark your brass on the sides of the case. Many folks who shot 38 SC do this so they can easily spot their brass after the stage.
  2. I was able to compare the Delta Point with a Burris Fast Fire 111. The glass on the Delta Point was larger than the Burris but I thought the Burris had a clearer dot. I ended up purchasing the Delta Point for a larger dot. Seen a Romeo but not side by side comparison.
  3. Arredondo makes inserts that will fit in the STI mag that will limit you to 10 rounds. Don't know if I would get too excited about it yet. Lawsuits are all ready being looked at right now from CRPA and the NRA.
  4. On your Match Point sights is the front sight fiber or dot ?

    thanks

I'll check and let you know later today. Out of the house currently.

Ok, it's just a solid black pointed blade on the front.

Looking for a white dot. Thanks

  5. I sent Brian Wilson (Son) a comment and questions years ago. Still waiting for a response. Good luck getting one.
  6. Definitely go see a Dr. Honestly I am scared of them. I fell during a local Match. Didn't think much of it till later on during the night. Ended up going to Urgent Care. Had broken ribs. Fast forward 2 1/2 months later. Thought I was having a heart attack and ended up in the emergency room. After countless EKG's and who knows how much blood work, ended up having MRI from head to toes. Long story short. Bulging disc in back. Numbness from elbow down to ring / pinky finger. My fingers are still numb. Started physical therapy which helps but numbness still persist. On medication to help with inflammation in back. Medication does affect my shooting but I don't want to end up having surgery. Good luck
  7. Saw an adapter today from dueck defense mounted to a Glock 17 dovetail with a Doctor sight. It looked very clean. If I didn't want to get my slide milled then I would go this route. Web site shows adapters for different type of pistols.
  8. Not to jack the thread but are you able to load long or do you need to get the barrel reamed ? Thanks
  9. I run a 12.5 recoil spring in my Trojan 40. Was told by ( My opinion) a top gunsmith not to use a shock buff in a 40 1911. It does more harm than good in his opinion. Never used one and never will in my Trojan.
  10. A friend of mine stays there for Area 2. Visited the family several times while they stayed there. Nice place and reasonably priced.
  11. If you are still in school and on a budget I would go with the Edge. Ask the seller if you can shoot it before purchasing. If it runs a few mags with no hiccups then I would snag it. Of course you'll need a holster and mag pouches on top of that plus a few more mags. Not to surprise you but I don't know anyone that will build a custom STI for 2K.
  12. I don't know this for fact but I think the SB primer cups are harder than Winchester, federal, etc. When I use SB primers I notice I have to really push up on my 650 handle compared to other brands
  13. Tripp mags. Shooters Connection belt. Double Alpha pouches. Safariland USPSA Kit for holster. I use a Safariland Holster that matches the USPSA Kit.
  14. Just got my 2011 back from Robar for NP3 finish. Gun was hard chromed and began to rust. Sent it back to have re-hard chromed. The rust came back. I do live close to the beach. Hoping them NP3 solves the problem.
  15. My Trojan did the same as 'fish stick'. Flat nose bullets nosed dived. Switched over to Berry's rounded shoulder and solved the problem.
  16. Ordered placed. Looks like a great idea
  17. Something like this happened to me at Area 2 this year. On Stage 14 (120 pts) my rear sight broke off on my 3rd shot. Wasn't able to line up sights at all. Holes all over the place. Time was scored as well as missus etc etc. Was I pissed? Heck yea but not at the RO. It wasn't his fault.
  18. Brazos tuned Edge is a better choice. Bob's guns have always worked 100% for me. I have 3 guns built by Bob. If you decide later on to go with a lighter slide you can purchase one of the Brazo slides with lightning cuts.
  19. I feel your pain. Worst match I've ever shot. Gun broke on 4th stage and wasn't the same after that. Still an excellent match and the R.O's were outstanding as always. Question I have is where were all the venders this year ? Needed to purchase some stuff and didn't see hardly anyone there.
  20. I have tried to e-mail and call this company several times. Did you order online or talk to them direct ? Actually interested in ordering several of these for department training. Thanks
  21. Take a trip a bit south (Norco) and talk with Jimmy Vidanes at 1911 Speed Shop. He is knocking out some awesom Limited Guns. Jimmy and Jojo run the Norco Run and Gun USPSA Match.
  22. Val just wrote an article in the Front Sight Magazine about this topic. It is under BULLETIN BOARD ( Seriously ). Actually breaks it down real good.
  23. Ran accross this on my 45. I just about tore my hair out trying to figure it out. Switched bullet profile and took care of the problem.
  24. I shoot a 5" Brazos using a 200 gr bullet. Shot a buddy's 6" ( not sure who built it ) last weekend. He loads a 180 gr bullet. Was quite surprised at the muzzle flip the 6" had compared to my Brazos.
