  1. Another interesting observation is I have never seen ChuckS's 40 open gun have a malfunction
  2. I would love to see a video on the shock treatment. Try this method first before you start changing trigger mechanisms. Get a regular squirt bottle. The type you spray at a cat works fine. Fill it with water. Adjust the nozzle to where just a spray comes out. Now the fun part. Slowly squeeze the trigger till just a drop of water comes out of the nozzle. You don't want it to spray or trickle out. Just a drop of water. Once you are consistent with the one drop of water coming out, open the nozzle up a bit. Work on it till you are able to open the nozzle fully. I have used this method in the past when training students trying to pass quals for departments. All use Glocks with a NY trigger and most show improvement. If it doesn't work for you at least you have a new tool to spray cats with.
  3. Just the opposite for me. I donated the yearly due to the MGM junior camp. Will still shoot it locally just for trigger time.
  4. I purchased a 40 Eagle to shoot IDPA. Power factor is only 125 for ESP so I downloaded on my reloaded ammo. Since then I no longer shoot IDPA and use the Eagle as a backup for my Limited Gun. A little more recoil for major but as my back up it works fine.
  5. After my 2nd STI sight broke within a year I decided to go with a 10-8 sight with a .140 notch. Glad I spent the extra money because it is rock solid.
  6. And I thought California gas prices were high !
  7. There are plenty of videos on you tube to watch. A common one is under USPSA WSSSC (Western States Single Stack Championship). The only thing Single Stack has in common with IDPA is where the holster and ammo pouches are located on the belt. Drop and Go.
  8. +1 for Norco. Jo Jo and Jimmy run great matches every Saturday.
  9. Just went to a gun show this weekend and was surprised Berry Bullets (40 cal) were on the shelf for sale. Had to pick up 3K plus primers. Hopefully the rush is done.
  10. Your formula doesn't sound right. My SV makes power factor at 3.8 gr of tite group with a 200 gr B/C bullet. See me at Pala this weekend and I'll give you a few of my loads to try.
  11. Bear Creek and Bayou. The Bayou bullets have very minimal smoke.
  12. It used to be if there is any question the score goes to the shooter. With the new rule book coming out who knows.
  13. . +1 after reading the forum in the past I switched over and haven't looked back.
  14. Mid South just put out an e-mail for extreme bullets
  15. Oh no no no. To hot for me. Better idea would be for you to sell me your SS 40
  16. I would take a hard look at 10-8 sights. They have a .140 notch as well as a .156 notch for the rear sight. I am personally thinking real hard on purchasing their brass bead front sight for my Glock.
  17. Going to slidelock cost to much time. Also, if you notice once you are in the port you are going back and forth on the targets. Get up early and meet us at Norco on Saturday. Your reloads look good.
  18. I stayed at the Country Inn and Suites for Area 1. Nice with an indoor pool. One thing you need to do while there is eat at the Gun Barrel. They serve Buffalo and Elk steaks. Excellent food
  19. Single shot exemption is the best way to get. Or have JV Dynamics build you one.
  20. . They were able to get a donation of almost $6400.00 for the MGM Junior camp
  21. I use Tripp mags with no issues. Plus if i have a problem or concern with them, I am able to talk to Virgil on the phone.
