  1. I don't run a slide racker. I think a lighter slide is better and it is simpler. There is plenty to grab at the back of the slide and conventionally rack.
  2. You could probably drill a cmore upright mount. I have both at home. I might look into it later. I like the circle dot reticle for open. I think it could help ??
  3. I won a cmore sight at a match so I had to build the lower part of the gun!
  4. Also at 1.200" they won't fit a Glock by accident.
  5. I run 115 RN at 1.200" no problem with 9.3 HS6 for 174 pf in a Trubor. You just need a reliable crimping die when there is not that much bullet in the case.
  6. Caution in going randomly bigger in drill size. Remember that the area of a circle goes a the radius squared (radius x radius), so the difference in area between a 1/8 inch hole (.05 square inches) and a 1/4 inch hole (.2 square inches ) is that the 1/4 inch hole is 4 times bigger. That said I went with three 1/8 inch holes to flatten out my 9 major trubor hs6 9.4grains 115 RN. I tried one hole and it helped with flip a little. I added the other two and it is flat.
  7. How comfortable would a compact be shooting minor PF? You would need to chrono all those guys in case they run factory ammo. Should they have a diminished PF?
  8. I thought MBX was the new go to for reliability. Is Infinity that much more reliable?
  9. If we allow this then Compact Carry Optics seems like it should go in at the same time.
  10. I am going to restate that as an RO I now have to learn the production guns that are also compact and be able to tell if someone is trying to get a double stack pistol that's 4.1" in the new compact class. All the compact guns are also approved for production. If someones barrel is found to be long are they moved to open class?
  11. Having to choose which front sight could be the real one when looking down the barrel. 9mm Major makes it so you don't need to worry about reloading components and cost so much. The tinker factor is high also. I can modify all kinds of things and swap parts over the winter and in the spring it still works and my scores somehow stay the same.
  12. Could you run a full size pistol in this class?... or do all the ROs have to have a ruler to measure the barrel as part of the make ready command to insure that its short enough?
  13. you can try 115 RN and more powder to work the comp at the same power factor.
  14. I love the Brazzos match trigger kit. I did my open gun, my friend did 2 DVC open guns and another friend did his single stack. They went in without any mods for us like a doing a full regular cleaning. Take it apart swap out the spring and install the new bits.
  15. I pulled the threaded insert out of the plastic in mine. Dillon told me to drill through the steel with an undersized drill for a sheet metal screw and screw it to the metal using the stripped hole. I found a decent size screw in a random screw jar I have and used that as a fix. It works nicely.
  16. I use a spring grip trainer at work. Its next to my mouse. If you use a grip strengthener yo also should do hand opening exercises with wide rubber bands around all your fingers to train the other direction. Before someone else told me this just using the gripper started hurting my arms.
  17. I enjoy reading a lot of posts but find it hard to come up with posts of my own. Maybe this one counts towards my 50?
  18. Very unique look. The hex cutouts for gripping look cool do they give good grip? ( I see the racker).
  19. I have a Trubor 9mm and had light strike issues. I swapped in the Dawson extended firing pin and Wolff reduced spring and rarely have a problem running Winchester rifle primers for major loads. It is a parts swap. Clean out the bore while you are in there. I used a 22 rim fire brush that I had.

    Trubor minor?

Also the Shock Buffer with Major PF doesn't get beat up. I think the comp takes out a lot of energy from the slide that would be there in a limited 1911.

    Trubor minor?

I can run factory " white box " and remington 115s with the Variable 7# using a Shock Buffer.
  22. Atlanta Arms sells 9 Major Atlanta Arms 9mm Major 147 grain was designed specifically for the competition shooter. The 147 grain bullet allows the round to reduce overall pressure while maintaining the major power factor. This projectile has been the softest shooting major competition round we have ever made. Major Power Factor: 165

    Trubo

With round nose 115s the OAL is a little FAKE compared to flat nosed JHPs. The pointy part makes it longer but doesn't really change the part that contacts the lands.
