  1. I had been using the Henning on my shadow 2 for about three months now without any problems.
  2. Then blow off the shavings in between putting the brass in the shell holder. Have you even tried it?
  3. I never had a problem with that method for the past three years I had been using my WFT in trimming my rifle brass. I have trimmed thousands of cases this way without any problems. You can even chuck it on a drill press like I had done without any problems either. By the way, the amount of shavings is not substantial to block the insertion of the trimmer. Besides, the shavings will just be ejected through the big holes on the side due to centrifugal force acting on them when the trimmer is rotating. My .02.
  4. Buy an RCBS number 10 case trimmer shell holder. Screw that on a piece of wood, insert your .223 shell holder and place the brass into the shell holder. Then trim the brass using your WFT downwards (like driving in a screw) without holding the brass so tight that it’s hurting your hands. The downward force you’re applying on the drill/trimmer will keep the brass from rotating. this is what I had been using to trim hundreds of .223/5.56 and .308 cases for my reloading needs without hurting my hands. or you can buy this extended shell holder that you can clamp on your vise and trim the same way as I describe above. 5. With those parameters, I’ll start off by asking the GM the best training approach for this particular scenario and go from there. I bet that since he’s a GM, he got the knowledge and experience to guide and teach me in a way that would be the most beneficial for me. I’ll have him come up and write down a solid plan that I’ll follow under his supervision. During the days he is not available for training, I want him to come up with drills and things I can do to further improve my skills which he can then evaluate during our next training session.
  6. You can use it provided it suits the ammo you’re going to use. I tailor the recoil spring to my reloads for optimal results. In my case, I’m using a 10# recoil spring with a tungsten guide rod on my X5 for my 128-132pf reloads. you can even try a 12# and see how it shoots but start with what you have first and tune from there.
  7. Yes, the long screw provided by CZC is to be used on the hole closest to the slide stop. I have a lot of metric screws as spares for my RC trucks to use for this application. I used to buy my screws from bolt depot.com by a box of a hundred. Just decided not to install another long screw on the middle hole so it’ll be quicker for me to remove the thumb rest and slide stop for removal of the slide for cleaning.
  8. Agree. I bought a set of the scale Dry Fire targets from Ben’s Pro shop and it really helped me improved. I also bought the two books which I read and practice with daily. i think it’s worth it plus it gives me something to do during my spare time.
  9. Even more expensive if you want the cool factor of a carbon fiber handguard from Isler. They look really nice though. I wonder when they’re going to have the 9” available again. It’s been out of stock for awhile now.
  10. For my shadow 2, I’ve had good results with 124/125 Gr FMJ and coated bullets with Winchester 231. I’ll be trying to load 135 Gr RNFP from Gallant bullets once I received my order. I have read a lot of guys having good results with the 125 Gr bullets they’re using. They say it can be loaded to 1.135” OAL for the CZs. We’ll see.
  11. I’m using slide glide on the rails and Lucas oil everywhere else that doesn’t require grease.

    P320 X5 Thread

The X5 slide front sight cowitnesses with the notch of the Romeo 1 so no need to replace it unless you don’t want the fiber optic front.

    Shadow 2 Grips

It means he’s going to cut the length of the grips short to compensate for the magwell. For example, if the full size grips are normally 5” and the magwell is 3/4”, then he’s going to cut the full size grip to 4 3/4” to compensate for the 3/4” length of the magwell.
  14. I have that setup with my shadow 2. Works perfectly for me.

    Shadow 2 Grips

Thats the first thing I did after I initially installed them. I didn’t like the flare at the top especially on my trigger finger so I sanded them. Before sanding after sanding

    Shadow 2 Grips

Theyre actually a little bit thicker than the stock aluminum grips.

    Shadow 2 Grips

I got the palm swell version. I like the feel of the grips because it fills up the space in my palm nicely. Kind of like the contour of my 1911 grips.
  18. Cool. Just give CGW a ring if you have any questions regarding the disco and sear.
  19. Yes and it requires hard fitting. If you’re going to install it, I would highly recommend getting the adjustable sear also. By the way, the T1 is a drop in but sometimes requires a little bit of fitting.

    New Shadow 2 stoppages

This is the first time I heard of a shadow 2 with problems you’re experiencing. It also seems that you experienced the same problem with the same ammo. Have you tried different ammo aside from the three brands you used? What recoil spring are you using? i had over 3k round on my shadow 2 and I didn’t have any problems at all. I shot WWB 115, sig 124 and currently with my reloads without any hiccups. I always shot with the thin shock buff installed from day one. Hopefully CZ will fix and let you know what the problem was.
  21. Just did it on my TSO. You can either remove the mag release or grind off about 2mm without removing the mag release from the gun. Use a 2.5mm titanium drill bit and go slow. If you have a drill press, it makes it a lot easier. I have one and it was a breeze drilling it. Use vise grips to hold and keep the mag release from moving while drilling. Drill a 4mm deep hole and use a M3 tap to tap the threads. Use a lot of cutting oil and go very slow so you don’t break the tap. They are very brittle.once you’re done drilling and tapping the hole, use an air compressor to blow out all the metal shavings. Test fit the S2 pad and use an M3 x6mm screw.
  22. Hello and welcome. How’s Manila nowadays? Last time I was there was 2011 when our ship, USS George Washington anchored off of Manila bay. Nice place, great people and good food.
  23. That’s a great idea in drilling and tapping the edge of the mount. What the size of the screw you used? Thanks.
  24. Yup, only differences were the additional witness holes on the Mecgar and the stamping of “9mm” and “15” like I noted on the picture I posted earlier. I like the AFC coating on the new magazines and both factory and after market mecgars have this AFC coating.
