  1. You can get just the RRK disco and use your stock shadow 2 trigger. You’ll do some minor fitting but you’ll be happy with the results afterward. Trim the nose of the disco if it doesn’t drop/reset on DA with your stock shadow 2 trigger. I was able to do it but I didn’t like the curvature of the stock shadow 2 trigger so I straightened out the old 85C trigger and used that instead. stock shadow 2 trigger compared to the straightened old 85C
  2. Boil some ginger and water. Let it coil down a bit and put a teaspoon of honey on it and drink it. That’ll soothe out your swollen throat.

    TSO questions

Check out Kentucky gun co. and deguns.net. I got mine from deguns.net and shipping was fast.

    TSO questions

Here’s a pic showing the advance ratio thumb rest on the right and stock TSO thumb rest on the left. Here it is mounted on my TSO. I like it because it has a bigger pad.

    TSO questions

First thing I replaced when I got my TSO was the safety. I installed an extended shadow 2 safety on mine for the more positive feel and the shelf is located higher too. Not as high as a 1911/2011 but way higher and better than the stock TSO safety. good luck finding an extended shadow 2 safety though.
  6. Where was the POI prior to you adjusting the rear sight? How high was it?

    TSO questions

Grip is more like a 1911/2011 and the grip allows me to get a higher grip comparable to a 1911/2011. I like the checkering too. In fact, the checkering is better than the old Czech mate. It’s heavy but it helps in lessening the felt recoil. Trigger is very light and you can shoot it in competition right out of the box.
  8. File a little bit on the top of the disco to enable it to sit higher under the cage enabling to drop in DA. Do it in little increments.

    Shadow2 magazines??

I’m using the stock 17 round shadow 2 mags and bought two additional 17 round mecgar mag from gregcotellc.com. I installed henning base pads on them and they fit the box for uspsa production.
  10. 4.1 Gr RN Blue 1.076-1.079 Velocity 1076 1071 1067 1076 1064 1070 PF 132 High 1076 Low 1064 Average 1070 ES 12 SD 4 These are my data for 124 Gr RN blue bullets with Winchester 231 for my shadow 2 and TSO.
  11. I see. I experimented with the thumb rest too. In fact, I just bought an Alpha Reflex thumb rest from the classifieds. The pad is significantly wider than the stock TSO thumb rest so I can’t use it with my RHT holster. The other thumb rest I have is a go gun rest and it’s even larger and wider. These two can only be used with a race holster. The stock TSO thumbrest pad is very small compared to this two. I already cut the go gun rest and drilled new holes on the pad itself for mounting. Edit. just checked the tracking number and says it’s been delivered to your mailbox. Let me know if it’ll work for you. Good luck on your thumb rest experimentation.
  12. Which thumb rest did you order? By the way, did you receive the screws?
  13. Just get the DAA Cmore pattern adjustable thumb rest. It has the same hole pattern like the TSO/cm.
  14. Yeah. That’s why I was surprised when two posters replied telling him get a CZC steel guide rod. What difference does the CZC steel guide makes compared to the stock SS guide rod on the TSO?
  15. What were your expectations? I’m on the same boat with you since I was hoping I’d get a better reach reduction compared to my T1 disco and modified recurve (I straightened it out) trigger which I also drilled and tapped for a pre and over travel screw. I only ordered the RRK disco since I already have their old style 85C trigger. Reset is a little bit better, barely noticeable but it’s there. I ended up modifying the old style 85 C trigger by heating it up and straightening it out a little bit. I don’t like curve profile of the 85C trigger. Here’s my final setup now. Straightened 85C trigger and RRK disco. I have to fit the disco to enable Sa reset. I’m only using the pretravel screw. DA trigger pull after installation of the fitted RRk disco. SA trigger pull.
  16. Order the DAA thumb rest with the Cmore mounting holes. The a more pattern mounting holes have the same spacing like the TSO/cm.
  17. Youre welcome. It’s one of those leftover plywood countertop cover I had laying around. Makes it a lot easier to clean compared to jus having bare plywood as top.
  18. Does the TSO .40 comes with a polymer guide rod? I ask because my TSO 9mm came with stainless steel guide rod. I made sure it’s stainless too by checking it with a magnet and it stick to it. here is a pic of the parts during tear down after I took it home from the FFL. Its the part directly below the barrel.

    Trigger freeze?

This. It’s amazing how our fingers kind of work in unison even when you’re trying to isolate and make each of them move independently.
  20. 1. Alpha X 2. Nice 3. Order one from robin sebo. That’s where I got mine a couple of months ago 4. Recommend staying with stock main spring and just tune the rs 5. Get them. He’s local to me. Great guy to deal and talk to. 6. Get one and install it. I got one installed and comes with red loctite. The pin doesn’t have a groove in the middle like the shadow 2 pin hence the need for red loctite 7. DAA congrats on your new gun. It’s worth the wait.
  21. That’s the adjustable sear from CGW with the setscrew. Magpulled is correct in stating the screw might have backed out. Just remove, clean and put loctite blue in it and reinstall and adjust so the safety locks the seat in place when the safety is engaged.
  22. Can you post a picture of the sear showing the setscrew?
