    Shadow 2 Optic?

    If there’s a will, there’s a way.

    Shadow 2 Optic?

Actually, there was a guy on czforum that just sold his shadow 2 upper yesterday.
  3. There is a screw in the middle hole. I intentionally didn’t install the long screw and just put one long screw to hold the thumb rest. This to facilitate the easy removal of the thumb rest when removing the slide stop and slide from the frame for cleaning. There are three screws holding the mount altogether.
  4. Get either the T1 or T3 disconnector to shorten the DA. The T3 has to be hard fitted while the T1 is 90% drop in. I installed the T1 disconnect or in my shadow 2 along with the 13# main spring, reduced power trigger spring, reduced power firing pin spring, extended firing pin and polished the internals. I also installed a modified recurve trigger wherein I drilled an tapped for a pretravel and over travel screw. DA pul is around 5# 10 ozs, SA is around 2# 3.5 ozs. Reset is very short.
  5. All my factory mags drop freely from the gun. I haven’t experienced any problems relating to the mags not dropping freely. Have him check the hole in the mags where it latches into the mag release. Make sure it’s not flared out because if it is, it’ll stick to the side and prevent the mag from dropping freely. If it is flared a little bit, he can Dremel it to make sure there’s no bulge on the side of the mag.
  6. I installed the CGW TS trigger pin on my TSO and it worked well. I have to use the red loctite that came with the trigger pin from CGW. i also installed CZ Custom multi-optic side mount on my TSO along with a Romeo 1.
  7. I used the thin buffer and 124 g/129pf with 10# recoil spring. Shoots flat and no muzzle flip.
  8. I’m currently using a 10# Wilson Combat recoil spring on my X5. Shoots flat and no muzzle flip.
  9. Which inserts were missing? Give DAA a call on Monday and hopefully everything will be sorted out.

    Shadow 2 Optic?

Just get a second slide dedicated for CO and use the other slide for Production.
  11. You’ll need to fit it. The notch is different on each of those mag release. I tried fitting my shadow 2 mag release to my TSO which uses the same mag release with the cm and it needs some Dremel work to get it working properly.
  12. Use the thick insert on the tension wheel and thin inser on the other side. Do you have the thin and thick inserts? Did you buy it new or used?
  13. A few weeks ago, I had my eye exam. I found out that I needed to wear readers now at 175. My distant vision is still 20/20 but anything 3 feat or less is blurry. When I’m shooting and wearing my regular Oakley glasses, the front sight is blurry but the target is clear. However, when I wear my readers, the front sight is clear but the target is blurry and anything past 3 feet with my readers on is very blurry. So I told my optometrist that I needed a pair of shooting glasses which has magnification for my dominant eye (right eye) so I can see the front sight clearly and none for my left eye so I can see the target clearly. He did some more tests for both eyes and determined that 100 magnification for right eye and zero magnification for left eye is the best combination I can have. I took the prescription and ordered my shooting glasses with Oakley since I get a substantial discount at Oakleysi.com. No more problems seeing the front sight and the target clearly and I’m very happy.
  14. That’s a great price considering a TSO sells around $1600 plus you get a complete top end for a 9mm conversion which goes about $6-700. If I don’t have a TSO already, I would have bought that myself.
  15. Yup, home made lanolin solution is way cheaper compared to the commmercial stuff. Have fun reloading rifle ammo.
  16. I use Hornady One Shot to spray the brass inside the ziplock bag. Zip it up, toss it a few times to mix and lubricate them up and that’s it.
  17. Never assume or else you’ll get a brass stuck in the die. For me, I usually put all the brass I’m about to resize inside a ziplock bag, spray it with lube, zip it up and then shake it all up to lube all the brass. Then I can just pick each brass from the ziplock bag and start resizing. I had been doing that for both my .223/5.56 and .308 ammo.
  18. I have a set of wide left and thin right from my shadow 2. It came with the gun along with the extended safety. I took out the thin set (wide left, thin right) and installed the extended safety when I got my gun from my FFL. I also have a set of TSO safety that I replaced with the Shadow 2 extended safety available. pm me if you want to buy it. I’m in the US too.
  19. Last month when I was looking for a TSO 9mm, all I had seen were .40. Now it’s the other way around. Just be patient, you’ll get one eventually and you’ll know that it’s worth the wait. I know I felt that way when I got mine. My wife loves shooting it too because of the very light trigger pull even though it’s a little bit heavy.
  20. Height from the dovetail to the top of the sight is about 3.82mm or .308”. Height of the actual blade is .220”. Hope this helps.
