    Shadow2 magazines??

The stock S2 mags hold 17 only. It becomes +1 when you rack up the slide to chamber a round and then put another round into the mag. The SP01 18 rd mags are 18 round tubes. The 19 rd mecgar mags are 17 round tube with a +2 base pad.
  2. Here are the trigger pull weights after installing the RRK disco. DA - average of 10 pulls SA - average of 10 pulls Trigger pull prior to installing RRK disco. DA - 5# 12.6 ozs SA - 1# 12.6 ozs
  3. Just got back from the range shooting a couple hundred rounds after installing the RRK. To me, there wasn’t a significant change from my old setup of a fitted T1 disco and modified(straightened out) recurve trigger. Since I already have the old 85C trigger which is part of the RRK, all I ordered was the shadow specific disco. I have to do minor fitting to enable the SA to reset properly. The static distance of the trigger relative to the rear of the trigger guard between the fitted T1 and RRK disco was the same. Difference in reset was very minor with the RRK disco having the advantage. The screw hole hole for the pretravel screw doesn’t have a lot of material for the screw to bite and have the loctite “glue” into it to keep the pretravel screw from backing out and preventing the DA from resetting. It happened to me a few times earlier even with the loctite curing for 24 hours. The trigger area where the pretravel screw is located at is very thin. I wish it was a little bit thicker so there will be more threads for the pretravel screw to “bite” into. There’s only about two threads contacting the screw itself. I wish that area is as thick as the area where the pretravel screw is on SA triggers. im using an 11.5# black CGW main spring with 10# recoil spring. Here’s my setup now. Shadow 2 RRK disco and a recurve trigger that I heated and straightened out. I drilled and tapped a pretravel screw on this recurve trigger which enabled me to move the static position of the trigger about 7mm to the rear. That’s 2mm more than the Shadow 2 RRK setup. Old 85c trigger on the left, my modified recurve trigger on the right.

    Shadow2 magazines??

You can buy them cheaper at gregcotellc.com
  5. The top screw is the pretravel screw and also moves the trigger’s static position to the rear. The lower screw is the overtravel screw. i also have the fitted T1 disco and old style 85c trigger is a part of the RRK. I still ordered the disco only part and installed it yesterday. There was only a little bit of difference between my fitted disco and the RRK disco. It was alright for me since I don’t have the trump short hand.
  6. I sent my prescription to Oakleysi.com and they made my prescription shooting glasses for me. You can chose any style or color of lens you want for your glasses. I chose the half jacket 2.0 XL polarized amber (Rex lenses) for shooting and an extra pair of polarized gray non Rex lenses for daily wear. you can also try these bifocal glasses from SSP. It comes in threee pairs with one of the lenses plano( no magnification). SSPeyewear
  7. A couple of my friends tried it after I told them what I had been prescribed but they didn’t liked it. They said they got dizzy and had double vision because of the dissimilar magnification of the lenses. Both had since been using bifocals on top of the lens. Like you, I didn’t have any problems adjusting to it. In fact, I like it very much because it’s the best of both worlds. I can see clearly up close and at a distance. 1.0 on dominant eye and zero on non-dominant eye.
  8. I’m curious as to what kind of tests did they administered on you. The doctors should have done some blood work to find out any abnormalities in your system. Lead poisoning is possible since the dust is inhaled directly into your system because you were standing over your tumbler. I always put a mask and rubber gloves every time I remove the brass from my tumbler. I’m glad you are doing well now. I always tumble outside. In fact, i pretty much do everything outside with the exception of reloading. I even clean my guns and rifles outside because I don’t want the smell of solvents inside the house.
  9. If there’s a will, there’s a way.
  10. Pm me your address and I’ll send you some metric 12.9 hardness screws if you need any. Let me know.
  11. I never lock my elbows. I shoot with my elbows a little bit bent to allow the recoil to go to my shoulders which will absorb it better compared to the elbows. If you look at the top shooters, majority if not all of them have a slight bend on their elbows. They also cam their wrists to control the recoil much better.
  12. I’ve had that problem before I got my new prescription shooting glasses. Since I had been prescribed with 1.75 readers, I had difficulties with front sight/rear sight and target focus. With my readers, the sights are clear but the target is very blurry. Without the readers, the sights are very blurry but the target is very clear. So I went back to my optometrist and she did more tests. What she did was had me extend my arms and placed the letters and had me read them to find out the best lens magnification to use for my dominant eye. She did this to enable me to see the letters clearly at the distance where the sights are going to be. After the tests, she prescribed 1.00 for my dominant eye and no magnification for my left eye to see distant objects. So far so good. The adjustment was quite easy for me.
  13. That looks nice. What thumb rest is that?
  14. That’s the old RRK. It’s not the Shadow 2 specific RRK.
  15. It depends. If you had taken apart your gun before, then it’ll be easier compared to haven’t done it before. There are YouTube videos showing the procedure in replacing the trigger. I had had done it multiple times so it’s easy for me now. Just take it slow and keep track of the different parts as you take it apart.
  16. Get the extended firing pin and the old style 85C trigger from CGW. The old style 85c has least amount of curve for DA triggers. I have one and I like it better than the stock shadow 2 trigger.
  17. Check out professor Atlas CZ tuning 101 tutorial. It has detailed steps and pictures that are very easy to follow. CZ tuning 101
  18. Buy the gun and the CGW upgrades you want to install and do the work yourself. There’s enough tutorial on the internet to guide you through the process. I install the upgrades and polished the trigger system on my shadow 2 using kneeling atlas’ tutorial guide and I’m very happy with the out come. It was my first time tearing apart a CZ pistol and everything went well. Just go go slow and take a breather when you’re getting frustrated. Put the slide inside a big ziploc bag when you’re removing the safety and sear cage to prevent losing any of the small springs and detents. Post and questions if you’re having a hard time with anything. Youll enjoy joy the self self gratification and self satisfaction you’ll get after doing the work. Good luck.
  19. It’ll be available on the website on Friday, may 11, 2018 according to CGW.
  20. I guess I’m one of the lucky people to shoot with both eyes open from the beginning. I never had any difficulties at all. However, I still squint my left eye for distant targets in order to acquire a nice and clear sight picture.

    New Shadow 2 stoppages

Contact CZ USA and let them know you didn’t get the extended safety in the box so they’ll send you one free of charge. You might have to wait though since they don’t have any in stock.
  22. $2150? Holy shit!!! That’s price gouging at its finest.
  23. Sorry for your loss grumpy. Prayers for you and your family.
  24. Yes, red dots will help you tremendously. You’ll spend from as low as $200 to as much as $600 depending on the brand of red dot sight you want. Burris Fast fire and vortex venom or viper can be had as low as $200 when they go on sale. You might want a bigger dot too like a 6.5 moa so you can see and track the dot quicker compared to a smaller dot like a 2.5 or 3moa.
