  1. This is my homeboy Lucas. He likes to help paste targets.
  2. Take it slow. Be safe. Don't break 180. Have fun. As you get more comfortable moving around in a safe manner, pick up the pace.
  3. In my limited experience, the new ones aren't as bad. I still prefer my aimpoints, though. Trijicon's CS is great, though. I also doubt you'll be charged anything.
  4. I think that's a pretty good rule for most things, honestly.
  5. For a machinist, yes, actually. I was, however, referring to the quality of his work.
  6. Sounds like you're on the right track! Plus, everyone likes new toys.
  7. Nice score! I missed out on most of this season because I bought a house and had to get it ready to move in. I feel your pain.
  8. I know, I'm just quoting a movie. Seriously though, as you said, it's all opinion. My opinion is that it's the Indian, not the arrow. Shoot what you've got and get gooder. The rest will sort itself out.
  9. I typically don't buy things unless they're cool, either.
  10. Geissele's CS is top notch. What you're describing isn't normal.
  11. What makes a limited gun decent? What makes a production legal gun not?
  12. Doesn't matter which division you shoot if you're trying to win overall.
  13. Think to myself "Man, I should've taken a leak before I got up here."
  14. Ignore all the other people walking around on the stage. They might be right, they might be wrong, you'll confuse yourself trying to figure it out. Break it down like any other stage, but pay closer attention to what's visible from where. Try to have as few positions and reloads as possible. If it's a truly confusing memory stage, err on the side of caution. I'd rather be slow and methodical and make sure I get 'em all than fast with a few M's and FTE's.
  15. I try to avoid eating anything too crazy the night before a match. I also try to wake up early enough to get some coffee and make a head call before leaving. All influenced by the fact that I prefer to avoid sitting in a portapotty if at all possible.
  16. I've always managed to zone out while I'm actually shooting, but once I heard some squad buddies cracking jokes while right before the "standby" - Bad time to laugh when you're trying to focus. Now I try to remember to turn the ears off before stepping to the line.
  17. Wow, this is a solid reminder to the rest of us that bad things can happen in a hurry if you're not careful. Here's to a speedy recovery, Paul!
  18. There's a few ads that are legit and a whole slew of ones that aren't. As such, I don't really go there much anymore.
  19. I've noticed this as well. I can't seem to find anything to grab onto with my support hand. A bigger grip on that side helped me hook up. After playing around with a few different grips (including asymmetrical combinations), I settled on Lok Palmswells with the mag cut out.
  20. As mentioned above, just remember that you're starting over from scratch. It's hard to consciously go back to the beginning and do everything slow and deliberately to learn the new gun the right way.
