  1. 40 matches? That's awesome. Are you training in addition to shooting matches? What sort of resources are you looking for? Help stage planning?
  2. I support this. I also noticed in practice that you can sprint as hard as you want, but if you're not exiting/entering your positions efficiently, you're actually losing time on your movements. Try different things on a timer, see how it shakes out for you.
  3. Something tells me the top of the gun isn't getting THAT hot. I'd try a new screw.
  4. This is good to know. Thanks for sharing! I've been contemplating picking one up. This might push me over the edge.
  5. To answer your question, OP - Not that I'm aware of. You can maybe find a used one that's already been done, or have a stock trigger tuned up. It's worth it once it's done, though.
  6. What if we just make PCC shooters all use loundeners?
  7. I never noticed any issues with the scales. I think you'll be alright.
  8. JL is a very common name in car audio. They're known for sound quality.
  9. Buddy of mine was doing some rifle shooting in an awkward position one time and didn't have the rifle shouldered very well. Let off a nice burst. Everyone at the range stopped and stared, it was kind of funny.
  10. Yep. If you're good enough you don't even need to chase the threads with a file or a tap.
  11. Oh really? What kind of set up are people using for this?
  12. This... You can always take more off. You cant put any back on.
  13. I now know that it's a rule. But when I was new, I just remembered overhearing it, and it seemed reasonable enough, so I set my own timer to delay and got busy practicing. The first time I was asked to help RO, I was just tapped to help because I'd been shooting for a little while. Now I know better.
  14. When I first started shooting, I heard somewhere that you should give 1-4 seconds before the start signal. As such I set my personal timers to a random start between 1 and 4 seconds... At this point I have enough reps with this configuration that I'm conditioned to hitting the button and letting the timer do the work for me. Any time I hit a timer button and it immediately beeps, I think "aw shit." - After enough times doing that, I make sure to determine how the timer is set up before running any shooters.
  15. Those are some good points. I think as shooters, we forget we're in control of the situation. One of the first times I helped RO at a local, I accidentally quick-beeped a pretty good local shooter. Felt pretty bad, but lesson learned....
