  1. Anyone ever try to use the Dillon powder check on an Evo unit? I ask because I have several Dillon units that I use on various set ups for my 650..?
  2. Well I have spent hours and hours watching videos, reading, and talking with a couple of experienced forum friends and I have about decided that if I can find a Mark 7 Evolution in 9mm in stock somewhere I am going to get it and sell my - Still sealed in the factory packaging Dillon RL1100 in 9mm that was recently delivered...My plan is to use the Evolution to load 9mm and I will use a MBF I already have and I MUST have a powder check in my system so thus my question to the current Evo users here that load on their machine manually...Thanks in advance for any guidance and help...Mark
  3. Mike - Thanks Sir for responding but I do not intend on automating my Evolution system (if I can find one in 9mm in stock anywhere)......On my Dillon 650 the powder “cop” is a battery operated unit that does not have to be hooked up to any power supply...My question was related to if Mark 7 offers a powder measure that does not require a power source to function... Sorry for the stupid questions but I was only days away from opening the sealed Dillon box that contains my RL1100 and I am SERIOUSLY considering leaving it sealed and selling it if I can find a Evolution in 9mm....Thanks Again Sir...Mark
  4. Thanks DDC - Now to contact Mark 7 to get a lead time and price.. One last question please - I have a Dillon 650 and all of the accessories that I intend on keeping...Will the Dillon powder check work on the Mark 7 Evolution or am I better off getting The Double Alpha powder check or does Mark 7 make one that goes with their Evolution system?
  5. Quick question from a guy that has a brand new still in the box RL1100 that is seriously considering getting a Mark7 Evolution system because of its extra stations and numerous other benefits.... I MUST have a powder check as part of my reloading press system and I also want to utilize a MBF and finally I want to be able to seat my bullet and crimp it separately so with this said is it fair to say I need to purchase a Mark7 Evolution rather than setting up my Dillon RL1100? Thanks Mark
  6. I too have the Vibra-Prime and love it....If it becomes a little stubborn just a small flick of the wrist and it goes back to filling the tube....Mark
  7. Another GREAT story about Dillon’s company and customer service. Mike Dillon would be proud.... USMC1974 - Thanks Sir for your service and allowing my family and I to live free and sleep soundly at night..Greatly appreciate you Sir....Mark
  8. I load W231 under a 124gr bullet at 3.5gr and it is a wonderful fully functional powder puff load and works 100% of the time in my P320X5 and my PCC rifle.....
  9. I just pulled out my Red Ryder BB gun and will be getting it ready gor the next local steel challenge match...
  10. HAD in stock - I put 5 in my cart and their site crashed....By the time I got back what they had in stock were gone....Dang it. - I just need 5k SRP or SRMP.....
  11. WOW - Woke up this morning to see that Powder Valley has removed ALL Small Pistol Primers from their website as being available to purchase. I wonder what caused this to occur?
  12. I tried also three times and I never was able to complete my purchase so I did not get a single primer....Anyone know if PV loads their inventory on a specific day(s)of each week or at a specific time of the day(s) when they release inventory? Thanks Mark
  13. A small amount of Simply Green will cut all of the carbon. I use it with the Armor All wash and wax Shown above and a small amount of Lemi-Shine. Cannot remember the amount of each because I clean my brass in a concrete mixer I bought at Harbor Freight.....
  14. CCI for me also because they seem to cycle better in my Dillon presses and I do not run reduced springs in my pistols...
  15. No finer CS than Dillon when it comes to taking care of their customers that are using their presses.....
  16. CCI's are my "go to" primers and cycle without any issues on my Dillon machines and I am a very SERIOUS Competitor. I also do not shoot any of my weapons with reduced springs and have never had a light strike.....
  17. 8MOA on my two PCC’s And also on my two rimfire rifles
  18. Hog - Thanks for posting the pictures - Dirt - Thanks again for the product details. I just ordered my unit from Everglades and hope to have it here later this week. Then to find a local machine shop to turn mine down that will not break it off in me. Mark
  19. Dirt - Thank you Sir - Two questions - Do you recommend using this with pistol rounds also AND if I buy the exact item you show above will I still need to find someone to turn it down Or will it fit on the RL1100 toolhead as received? Mark
  20. Ok guys - B-A-C-K up for a minute please for this less than bright guy that owns a RL1100 and just ordered the tool-heads I needed to set it up for loading 223(currently set up for 9mm)......Whet you are describing here is that when you are loading 223 you actually turn down the body of a die (or something) and you insert this through the non-threaded opening above the primer station that acts as a top side “support rod” that insures that, at the priming station, the case plate remains Secure from the top side to insure better and more precise primer insertion? A picture of what you are using would help this old slow redneck understand what you are doing..... Thanks for helping me understand what you are discussing here and the ultimate goal....Mark
  21. Guys - I was just looking at Practi-Score and saw where the 2020 Alabama Steel Challenge State Championship in September this year is NOT running OL as one of their courses...I wonder if and why they decided to do this at the State Championship level. It is not because of bay space because the shoot is at CMP in Talladega where the World Speed Shooting Championship is held and has 10 or 11 bays on the main course.....
  22. Flago - When your time allows can you post a picture and the link to the thumb rest you are using on your Scorpion please. I am wanting to add one to my Scorpion and did not realize there was one available from Tac....Thanks Mark
  23. After I shot my first match and my results were simular to yours one of the RO’s told me to not leave after the match because he had something for me....I hung around and what he gave me changed everything for me at the next match one month later.... He gave me two new USPSA targets and told me to take them home and paint the A sections on one and on the other one paint everything except the A sections with BLACK paint....He told me to take these targets and practice drawing and dry firing at both styles at least twice a week for the next four weeks until the next match....Then he told me to do one other thing that helped me more than anything...He told me to put the targets up and stand 10 yards away and with nothing in my hands STARE at each target for 5 minutes then close my eyes and visualize the target....Then do the same for the other one.....and do this at least once every other day for three weeks.....I did what he recommended and....... The next match I went from dead last to 19th out of 32 shooters.....You might want to give this a try...USPSA targets can be purchased usually at your local gun stores or call your match director and ask if you can purchase a couple for your own use....
  24. M700. Thanks for posting this video. I am hoping to get my loader set up in the coming weeks and already have my camera in hand but have not “played” with it yet...This video helps a lot...Thanks. Mark
  25. Code - On my 650 I have a small mirror mounted so I can see down into the case right after the powder drop station. On my 1100 I will be mounting a back up camera system I purchased off of EBay that came with a monitor. I purchased an endoscope camera only to learn after it arrived that it would not work with Apple devices so keep this in mind if you go this route.....Dr. Youngeyes here on this forum provided me guidance and direction in my final selection(Backup camera system)...Super guy with a lot of knowledge and experience....
