Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. It's funny that you posted this today; I had not thought about this for weeks until this morning. Raven Concealment makes custom holsters & I was thinking this morning about contacting them to make one. I'll let you know what I find out.
  2. It's a custom order, so I'm still waiting for the holster. They said it should be here next week, and I'll write up a review on it then. Can't wait to see it - I didn't really think it would be possible to find a "fast - IPSC style" holster for a BuckMark, so I'm hoping it lives up to expectations. I'm looking for one of these too, how did it work out for you? Do you think it would work with a Buckmark with the micro barrel? Thanks Thanks
  3. I just put the rubber grip tape kit from Powder River on my XDm & I am very impressed. You might get some extra traction from this without it digging into your hand.
  4. Yes, click on the edit button. Notice this post has been "edited" you will find it along the bottom on the right. Welcome to the shooting sports. If you haven't already, go to the USPSA site and sign-up. Thanks for your polite response to the dumb question. I had wanted to edit a post I made a couple of days ago but did not see the edit button. I'm not sure if the option is hidden once there are replies or what. I should have clarified. I recieved my USPSA information package in the mail a couple of days ago & I'll be signing up this week. Thanks again. There is an expiration on the from the time you post. If it's over 48hrs or 72hrs, you can't edit it any longer. That kind of sucks for a long running thread like "Match Announcements" because you would like to get back in there and add data to make it current and simple. They did it because there were some guys that came back in after the fact and edited out everything they said on the forum... won't mention any names T. Anyway, this left the threads meaningless as to the content that was there. The Admins and Brian decided to put a time limit on how long you could edit your posts to prevent that from happening again. So if I get pissed and wanted to delete everything I said from the forum, I wouldn't leave a bunch of disjointed one sided conversation all over the forum. JT Makes sense.

  6. Anybody know how to edit something you have already posted?
  7. I can't believe how much I am getting out of this book & I'm grateful someone took the time to write it all down for others in the community. It has changed almost everything about the way I shoot and made it all more enjoyable in the process. I'm waiting on some Dawson sights right now but I have heard they are nice.
  8. Welcome! I am also new to the forum & the sport but I'm already hooked. You'll want to pick up a copy of Practical Shooting if you haven't already...you won't believe the knowledge contained in that book.
  9. Thanks. Nice to hear from a new reloader too.
  10. Hi, I'm new to the forum as well and have been reloading for about 6 months. I'm also looking forward to finding some great load data and have already found some terrific info from searching the forums
  11. Thanks, I actually mailed the gun to Scott about an hour ago but I will check out Canyon Creek. What part of IL are you from?
  12. Hello, I'm new to the forum and IPSC in general but very excited about it all. Currently, I handload for 9mm, .223 & 30-06, & I am about to start loading .45. I have fun with all aspects of marksmanship and hunting but right now I am focused on improving my handgun skills. I enjoy informal competition with friends in our local "Farm League" and now I'm also interested in getting involved with IPSC. I've been reading Practical Shooting and have found it to be one of the most interesting and informative books I've ever read. I'm getting ready to send my XDm 9mm to Springer Precision for a trigger job, EZ Grip safety, and Dawson adjustable sights. I'm also thinking about the extended magazine release and the grip tape treatment. I want to get some better traction without it being permanent if i don't like it. I already have the 1911 guide rod and spring. I welcome any input on the upgrades and hope to see some of you on the range someday.
