Looks for Range

Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. Winchester 'winclean'. They use small pistol primers for these rounds. Looks kinda weird
  2. Pics of this setup please I have an old digital camera I'd be willing to destroy and modify it to a hat cam
  3. Wow that looks painful, glad you're ok
  4. Hm, should I purchase a few of these or wait for them to start shipping the newer racemaster pouches?
  5. Interested in these here, heck of a price, but im sure the 'you get what you pay for' comes into play with that price. I'd like to get others opinions on these glasses. I may just pick some up too
  6. Ya this is going to be for a trubor barrel. I think I will order one for some of the reasons you guys stated. Less set-back probability, and a higher reliability percentage when compared to a standard die (no matter how minor the difference, id rather get the majority of reloaded rounds right). Thanks guys!
  7. Havent received my pistol back from smith yet to chamber check my reloads yet, but will the 9mm be as picky as .40? With my .40 barrel I had "more than I felt comfortable" with ammo that wasnt fully chambering (glocked brass using a dillon carbide die), so I ordered an EGW U-die and all problems went away. Will I need to do the same for my 9mm setup? Just asking now so I can place the order sooner than later. Thanks guys! Note: my current reloading setup is all dillon at the moment. (dies, press, etc etc) -Rich
  8. I agree with visually inspecting each powder charge in the case. Even off my 550 I still inspect each casing of it's powder charge before seating a bullet. Don't be discouraged, try again. Youre on the right track on safety. Good thing you caught the squib.
  9. I'm in the same boat as you my friend, got all my reloading components today, but still waiting for my pistol to be ready I'll be watching this thread.
  10. Sounds like a good turnaround, I was thinking of sending my compact in for some work soon. Btw your pistol looks great
  11. I'm getting a 9mm open upper half built right now, running me about 1500 for it. (doesn't include cmore)
  12. Just get a pretty decent holster and mag setup, no need to blow money on top of the line equipment. Buy lots of ammo and shoot more for now. See if moving into the competitive area is really for you or not. Just have fun
  13. Maybe you didnt put the slide stop through the barrel link correctly? happens to me sometimes, just push out the slide stop and try again
  14. Thanks for all the responses, now to try to find a torch to heat it up, worst case scenario, I just buy a new one thats 'pre-bent'
