  1. Same and I 100% agree. WAY more secure, smoother draw and more adjustment.
  2. Everglades JHP V2 are unbelievably accurate. I tested their 115gr JHP V2 vs. Hornady 115gr XTP (Not the HAPS) and the Everglades were significantly more accurate. They can be had for 7.5 cents shipped per when they are running promotions - 25,000 rounds later, I will not shoot another bullet.
  3. I don't have a picture of the LHS but my BCG ejector looks like a normal ejector from that point of view. The tuning is in the concave relief.
  4. I bought my wife a 4.5" Scorpion for Steel Challenge a couple of years ago, zero malfunctions with CCI SV or CCI Mini-Mags to date. Is it worth the extra cost over, a home brewed 22/45? I think so. The Scorpion has a better trigger and is significantly more accurate than my home brewed 22/45 with all the bells and whistles (VQ trigger and all).
  5. My C-mate barrels are reamed, loading 115gr MG CMJ's or EGA V2 JHP's at 1.160 OAL. I've played with a few loads, all of the below net 170-172PF: 8.0gr Power Pistol 8.7gr HS6 9.3gr 3N38 9.6gr SP2 10.0gr AA#7
  6. AA5 is a versatile powder in 9mm. While not ideal for minor loads, I found #5 to be almost identical to HS6 for 9 major loads. 8.8gr-9.0gr under a 115gr pill nets 171PF out of a full size w/ 3 popples, the dot tracks well.
  7. CZ-USA now lists a Cmate recoil spring (Part: 10911291), I have heard it's anywhere from 14-16 Lbs. I personally run a 10# in my gun, I tried a 9# and like Honkey stated, I had issues with the slide returning to battery.
  8. My Czechmate (new style TSO frame) will not work in the three 014's that I have. You might have better luck if your frame is older.
  9. Call of Beven of Grams, he will get your mag issues sorted.
  10. Armory Craft trigger...AKA CZUB importer.
  11. 3GunDQ- you are not alone, I went through three in 8 months. Maybe those Fridays are also employee appreciation days with an open bar.
  12. McMaster-Carr has a huge selection of hard to find screws in various materials/ strengths. I prefer Torx as they are less prone to stripping. https://www.mcmaster.com/#standard-flat-head-screws/=1c2vnuw

    Czechmate Grips

I'm running the VZ Diamond Back palm swells. Takes some time to trim them down to mate with the CZC magwell, but worth the effort.
  14. My magazines would not run regardless of bullet profile until Beven worked his magic with the tubes. Super fast turn around and he did an excellent job. 23-24 in the 140's and 28-29 in the 170's (CZC basepads and Grams springs/ follower).
  15. Czechmates are fantastic open guns, they flat out run. They need nothing other than mag tuning (as with 2011's) and to ream the barrels.
  16. Blue thread locker for the two scope-to-mount screws. Be careful not to over-tighten said screws as the battery tray will no longer move freely on the RTS2.
  17. Agreed. The DPP 2.5 MOA is brighter and clearer than anything else I have tried - Slide Ride 6 & 8 MOA, RTS2 6 & 8 MOA.
  18. I went through three RTS2's in six months. Two had catastrophic failures where the glass shattered and the other kept clicking off even after the V4 upgrade. I now run DPP's and they are phenomenal. The glass is clear, excellent battery life and a very bright dot - I highly recommend.

    Racker Side

I much prefer the racker on the weak side (LHS for righties). If your racker is not already equipped with a detent, any smith can add one/ some. Gans Guns charges $15 I believe.
  20. STI making anything that runs is far fetched.
  21. You can also look into the Arredondo plastic powder drop slide bar.
  22. FM, IMT, Ammoland and IMTS are the main culprits when it comes to stepped cases. I immediately cull those stamps as it's not a function of if they will separate, but when. Major PF, minor PF...it's going to happen. If a stepped case manages to spontaneously disassemble in your chamber, a good soak of Kroil and a brass pick will usually get the remaining portion clear.
  23. Not my gun, by that's an SV grip.
  24. You sir, are an outlier. I would imagine (< 50-100) of 3,000+ will chime in whom received a viable DVC Open Gun that did not have significant issues necessitating a trip back to STI to fix teething issues that should have been resolved after the first 5 round test fire in STI's factory.
