  1. I load 3.2gr Bullseye at 1.135 OAL with 147gr coated Blue Bullet. 135 PF and very, very soft shooting!
  2. I got great accuracy with 4.1gr W231/HP-38 @1.14 OAL and 124gr Bayou's when that powder was still possible to find. I have since switched to 3.8gr Bullseye @1.14 OAL with similar accuracy. To boot, I found that Bullseye smokes less that W231/HP-38 with coated bullets and is softer shooting.
  3. Flake powders metered horrendously in my Hornady LNL Progressive press with both the pistol and rifle inserts. Not sure about the regular LNL powder dispenser.

  5. For myself the Springer base pads facilitate much more positive mag changes. You have some extra weight to help the mag drop free quicker and you have more real estate to grasp from your mag pouch.
  6. That's very dependent on the game you are looking to play. Narrow it down a little more for us...
  7. That's totally normal and safe. Variations in the; bullet, thickness of the blue coating and brass will produce minor OAL variations like you are experiencing. Blast away!
  8. I just purchased 7 of these (3) for the factory 18 rd magazines and (4) for the 16 rd mec gar mags. Fantastic Springer product per usual. Thanks!
  9. As far as valid reasons, I did not notice much of a difference accuracy wise between the Bayou 135's and 147's. BUT, I cannot load the 135's in my accushadow longer than 1.10 while the 147's pass the plunk test at 1.15 OAL. The 147 FP profile is much more forgiving.
  10. Heavy bullet, fast powder. I personally cannot tell enough of a difference between 147's and 160's to justify the added cost.
  11. I load 147gr bayous @ 1.45 with 3.1gr Bullseye and Remington Primers. 130pf and great feel.
  12. 1.20 OAL in my Accushadow. Great accuracy with W231/HP-38, Bullseye and Titegroup. For reference, I run the Bayou 124gr at 1.145.
  13. Hello Everyone. Long time lurker but I decided I would join and hopefully contribute to the community that has given me so much. I am a gun enthusiast, been reloading for many years and just finished my 5th USPSA production match. So, wet behind the ears with competition but I absolutely love it.
