  1. Do you then have to have the bushing fitted for that slide then? I'm pondering getting one of these and vastly prefer GI guide rods.
  2. It would be interesting in 7mm Rem Mag or 6.5-06, for certain.
  3. I've had the same problem with my G34 and what I'm going to do about it swap out the sights for some Dawsons. The problem with the Glock stock sights is that the rear sight has white on the edges and across the middle, so your mind in a hurry quickly assumes it's seeing the front sight when it isn't, or that any relationship is close enough because you see all the elements you think you need. Better to have the rear all blacked out and narrow enough to where that the only way you even see your front sight at all is when it's correctly aligned and bright red or green to where it's impossible to mistake for anything else.
  4. Why worry about VarGet metering when it can't even be found?
  5. Silencerco SpecWar762 has been doing amazingly well for me the last 2 years and fits on everything I have. The price was right and it's very durable.
  6. 147gr FP Blue Bullets don't smoke with TG in my loads, never noticed heat to be a factor either.
  7. How much room should there be between the edges of a front sight and the sides of the rear sight? I really bombed a match this past weekend with an unfamiliar gun and I think it was largely due to the sights. There was so much room side to side in the sight picture and it was 3 dot instead of red fiber + plain black rear, so under stress and speed I was missing TONS of shots I shouldn't have because the picture wasn't telling me what I needed to know--I would have rather not seen the front sight at all unless I was correctly aligned and thus know to correct myself rather than seeing it all kinds of ways and still be way wrong. What is the proper size combination to achieve this and be effective?
  8. IX headstamp has annoyingly small flash holes too. For some reason I found a bunch of .223 with that, dunno who the ammo maker is or who sells it.
  9. So the preferred sights are usually Dawson front, and what make/model/size for the rear? What is the general way of thinking about what sights to run on 1911's/2011's?
  10. I take it to be common to order 2 extra barrels at a time for the same gun to get them to be made from the same blanks and reamer, given how they wear out, right?
  11. I use Blue Bullets for 9x19 and Kings PC for .45 and couldn't be happier. It will be a long time before I'll be accurate enough on my end to surpass their accuracy potential.
  12. Pick them when you can as often as you can so that any one specific day of not doing so doesn't matter. Check primer pockets with a gauge to make sure they're not shot out and check for nicks and cracks. As long as you're not loading anything especially hot and nasty I'd say odds are good you'll lose any specific piece of brass before wearing it out.
  13. Ditto. I don't want to miss out because of the mailman messing up, as we all know they do at times. Thank you very much for the hard work you put into all this.
  14. Probably in too. I guess it'd be kind of dumb to not put all my shotgun stuff to use again.
  15. No problems that I have noticed, but I clean frequently and use Seal 1 and/or Froglube heavily so fouling won't stick anyway. Blue Bullets uses Hi-tek coating so it's not the same as moly or powder coat. If you need a tougher still coating check out King Shooter Supply's purple coated bullets.
  16. I've been using the flat point 147 and like it better than anything else I've tried so far. 1.14 and 2.8gr of Titegroup for a G34. What OAL should I load at for a Sig? A good friend of mine told me he has a Sig and I'm looking to repay a favor by loading up some ammo for him and I gather the freebore varies quite a lot between Glock and other brands, CZ being known to be shortest for instance.
  17. Small primer I keep aside and run as their own batch when I have enough. They're a great thing when large primers are scarce! If you've got some you don't want, save them, someone like me will want them!
  18. Rats, he seemed like a pretty good guy. Ya know, it's a messed up world seeing him go when so many rotten people that rob, exploit, legislate, and other bad stuff rather than give and inspire still stick around.
  19. A PSA AR upper for my dad, a BCG and charging handle for my younger brother, and a case of 147gr Blue Bullets. I'd already bought a 10.5" .300 AAC pistol kit for my wife and have it built and tested, got that when it was on clearance for $300.
  20. The C powder funnel for the .30 carbine and the Lee FCD are highly recommended if you'll be using coated bullets for subsonic loads. If just using regular jacketed bullets, you want the AK funnel.
  21. Hornady dies work very well for me on the 550 for loading 75's.
  22. I tried 115's and 124's, then went to 147 plated, and now have found my favorite so far with 147gr FP Blue Bullets and Titegroup...just like hundreds of other guys on here. It feels good, offers more accuracy than I am capable of surpassing, and they're very economical.
  23. What kind of price are you guys seeing these for at a shop?
