  1. So far so good on the Romeo1. I have about 2k on mine and mine was also exposed to a bunch of aggressive slide manipulation using the optic as a charging handle again a table... It's a long story. The stand-alone Romeo1 isn't shipping yet so for the time being it's only available pre-installed on the RX SIGs. The P320 RX are going for $750 to $800 for the gun and optic installed package.
  2. jstagn, I didn't even connect your profile to yourself. It was nice seeing you. Unforunetly Shot Coach is only available for iOS (Apple) devices. You would have to transfer your videos to an iPad or an iPhone I think. It should be available in the App store. I am an Android guy and wish it would come out for that platform. That's good news about the new ShotMaxx but then what will I do with my old one? I like it but it does leave some room for improvement. Absuotely the best solution for practicing while at public ranges since it can pick up shots from vibration versus just sound.
  3. Try using the Shot Coach app on your videos. The Bluetooth connections to the Shotmaxx have been unreliable.
  4. The front is the same height but slightly flared out. Sides have the wings filled. You don't have the hump protruding down the back. I had some standard 17 round P320 magazines with USPSA style 140mm extensions at show show that I locked into the gun to assure that they were compatible.
  5. As of NRA Convention they said that changed. I have seen the couple of grips like this that work just fine with the current FCU
  6. It's just the Target grip on an RX. Since Carry Optics allows grip mods I was trying to make my own Target grip out of a Large grip module.
  7. It's the gas port that needs to be opined up a bit, not the chamber. That requires some press work to get everything apart so you can get to the hole. Taylor Pickerell has easily done more than anyone else. I have a Gen one (which started with slightly larger gas port than the Gen IIs) and had no issues running very light Production loads through it. 147gr BBI with 4.1 N320. It shot extremely soft and quite.
  8. Game on! Get your MPX Couplers here: http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=388&categoryId=57 In 3 Gun couplers are fine for typical stages but when they have Classifier type stages they usually specify that reload must come from the belt. I think the same would make sense for USPSA: mandatory reloads should come from the belt but field courses should be able to utilize coupled mags, bigger mags, or whatever.
  9. No, sorry guys, that's not correct. The RX comes with the Romeo1 and can be had for $800 or less. Cabela's had an exclusive on the initial release on the two tone but you can now find the black model shipping elsewhere. I can look for you if you are having difficulty locating them.
  10. Yes. The all black ones are shipping now. There have been some on gunbroker and various other online sources. Search for "320F-9-BSS-RX"
  11. I don't have any updates except that I just made my own target-ish grip for my Carry Optics setup. Wish I had something else more significant to share.
  12. I can't go back to anything else. Using RHT holsters for the foreseeable future.
  13. The SIG SAUER Romeo3 is holding up well.
  14. There is a Facebook group with a couple thousand MPX owners. You can search for what triggers folks are running right now and ask any other questions that you might have. https://www.facebook.com/groups/834578369961226/
  15. Springer Precision has released his MPX FASTMAG magazine couplers now. They replace the base plates. http://shop.springerprecision.com/product.sc?productId=388&categoryId=57
  16. I have about 1k rounds on a standard single stage Timney that I had lying around. Based on that video I plan on swapping that out for a Timney two stage in the next month or two since the two stage triggers have a different Disconnector design.
  17. I have a similar setup but ordered the buffer tube adapter directly from SIG. The advantage there is that it still folds to the side similar to the other factory options. With a buffer tube adapter and a standard adjustable stock setup it can extend from just shorter than the thin side fold to a length that's even a bit too long for me. I usually have it set about half way. The folding SIG brace that ships on the pistol models can also be disassembled leaving you with the same side fold buffer tube adapter that can be used with a standard buffer tube.
  18. I started doing this on unloaded starts. However, when shooting 3 Gun where I have a magazine inserted and an empty chamber I still rack off of the back of the slide since I was worried about sweeping my hand (or looking like I was sweeping my hand) when doing this directly from the holster without inserting a magazine. For me I think this is slightly faster but likely not by much.
  19. I had a bit of extra range time so I tossed 50 of the 7 1/2oz down range with my A5 today. Everything functioned perfectly which is great since I am down to my last 200 of the old style.
  20. I think it's different but now that I have the R1, I unfortunately don't have the R3 on hand to compare. Does this mounting pattern resemble anything else?
  21. My read would be, yes, it would be legal. CO doesn't have restrictions on grip profile modifications. You just can't make an externally flared magwell while doing them. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.
  22. If that is a concern with the MPX then you can get the gas port opened up some, but as it was pointed out that hasn't been a problem for most.
  23. I am running a P320RX that has some co-witnessed night sights. Honestly I don't even notice them and don't find them at all distracting. It seems like they will help me to find the dot during strong and weak hand strings but I still need more time to confirm.
