  1. Yes. Springer Precision has two lengths, .25", or .375" along with additional weighted inserts. Obsidian Arms has done nice ones as well. Dawson, Ben Stoeger, and Taylor Freelance all have options for the P320.
  2. I did Tim's grip. Again, it's just a standard medium grip with a 46/70 grit silicon carbide glue and grit job performed. Most of the team now runs a grip that I have worked on. The new grip should resemble the one shown below. It's also built off of a medium grip but has some notable enhancements. Much larger magwell, flatter sides (to aid in tracking and indexing), taller beaver tail, undercut trigger guard and raised ledge under the slide catch for better support hand traction while helping to minimize inadvertent contact with the slide catch.
  3. Chances are good that the grip was one of the current factory grips that was worked over with a glue and grit job by me. The P320 makes it very low risk to do some more radical grip modifications and I have done more than a few. In regards to the grip, there are some nice changes coming on the horizon that should further optimize this gun for competitions.
  4. Yes, drop in kits have been discussed and is something you are likely to see. Some aspects of the competition gun may have changed for the better since Shot. Along with everyone else I am anxiously awaiting any updates that may be provided at the NRA Convention.
  5. Both? The factory Competition pistol should have a Competition trigger pre installed.
  6. Springer has a Romeo3 on carry optics type setup but I am looking forward to hearing how it does on an Open gun. I have one on an MPX and agree that the brightness makes up for the small dot size. I have had mine turned on for the last four months or so without having to think about changing the battery. When not in use it just goes to sleep and then comes back on when moved. That's great for me since every time I so much as look at my slide ride I seem to accidently leave it on.
  7. SIG P320 and a handful of conversation kits? It's still technically just one gun. Being able to swap out grips for different uses helps to. From a pistol perspective if you are shooting minor then getting a gun that would work in Production Division makes sense.
  8. Wyoming Arms will give you a half MOA or better. It does stainless steel, double stress relieved, SB nitride, and hand lapped match grade barrels. Get the titanium barrel nut as well. That combination virtually eliminates drift from heat. http://wyomingarms.com/product-category/barrels/
  9. He is great to work with and I love his competition holsters. That's what I have been using for the last year and a half with no plans on changing.
  10. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the Internet based shooter's meeting. That saves me 3 and a half hours of driving the day before the match and it is very much appreciated. Also, thanks for the "less carnival, more shooting" stance.
  11. Springer Precision is working on some extensions that should get you about two extra rounds using the factory springs and followers while staying Limited/3Gun legal. Also, Grams has been working on P320 specific followers and is in final development stages. They lock back on empty and seem to run flawlessly.
  12. Powder Valley has had it in stock for ages. All that's left is the 1lb containers but that should work just fine.
  13. I am doing 4.1 or 4.2gr of N320 with a 124gr JHP at 1.100 OAL
  14. smaller and swept forward.
  15. Farley also invented that but it's called the Irish plate rack.
  16. Farley Collins from North Salt Lake Welding and Fabrication is the inventor of the Polish plate rack and several other novel target types. Might as well support the original source. He is, of course, a USPSA shooter and big supporter in Area 1 as well. http://nslwelding.com/content/?page=Polish%20Plate%20rack
  17. What's the difference between Gen 1 and Gen 2 mags? https://youtu.be/Tp7WmEPyu_k
  18. Here is mine for today. Tomorrow my new folding buffer tube adapter arrives from SIG. I really like this stock but think a standard AR15 adjustable might give me a better cheek weld.
  19. Second on Springer Precision. He has been spending a lot of time modifying and making accessories for this platform among others.
  20. So how do you reconcile Kyle's statement with my experience with two new DP Pro optics, where I am going through a battery a week with a daily live and dry fire regimen, and the statement on the Leupold website that it only lasts 190 hours on high intensity? Are you saying that the 190 hour rating does or doesn't go in line with kyles statement? If you can truly kill a battery in a week of contact Leupold should take 27 hours a day at high intensity at that rate. That would be quite the training regimen. I am averaging a battery a week in the Pro. I have been especially active lately focusing on CO, but that translates into three hours a day of live and dry fire, six days a week, or 18 hours a week. That is nowhere near 190 hours. I recently bought 50+ 2032 batteries on Amazon, carry about ten in my range bag, and change the battery each weekend before the match. Prior to doing the weekly change, I killed multiple batteries to the point the unit wouldn't turn on. Amazing. What does Leupold say when you tell that that is your experience?
  21. So how do you reconcile Kyle's statement with my experience with two new DP Pro optics, where I am going through a battery a week with a daily live and dry fire regimen, and the statement on the Leupold website that it only lasts 190 hours on high intensity? I don't. Just passing on information provided by another source. I personally borrowed a slide with an older DeltaPoint and used it for a couple of months of dry fire and practice without changing the battery.
  22. I asked Kyle Lamb about the battery life since he has been running on his P320. He does have a business relationship with Leupold but here is his response: "I have been using the DP Pro now for 1 1/2 years, the previous versions were Leupold Prototypes used on AR's and pistols. The average battery life if I were to make a guess would be 4-6 months, this is leaving it on and using it a lot. The current production version seems to be the same, I want to say 6+ months for sure. It is a far superior mini red dot sight to anything else on the market." YMMV I'm sure
  23. Yes. Small as well. They ship with the new style slide catch in the package.
  24. Both thicker and longer. Not dramatically so but it can make a difference.
  25. Are you liking the Medium grip or are leaning towards a Small or Large?
