  1. New date for the Wyoming Governor's 2-Gun match in August is as follows: 2017 MAGPUL WYOMING GOVERNOR'S MATCH AUG 10-13 AT CHEYENNE, WY
  2. The Blade Tech pouches work but leave a lot of room for improvement. They only have two screws which handle both retention and securing the teclok to the pouch. I found them on sale awhile back and modified them to work with QLS but if paying full price I would look elsewhere. On the break, if you have the 8" then you can try the Lantac Dragon MPX break. It's a bit expensive and I didn't think it made a positive difference but you might feel otherwise. I have one in the parts bin if you want to go that way. The 16" has a 13.5 inch barrel and a 2.5" pinned flash hider. Not sure how hard it would be to remove that and I don't know that it needs anything else. For triggers, Timney says it's new two stage trigger is good to go in the MPX. I am running a Hiperfire 24C right now and I heard Taran also runs Hiperfire in his. Lots of people running other triggers but with low round counts it's hard to know which ones will hold up long term. The bolt velocity is pretty fast so it beats up on mil-spec type disconnectors if not protected. For the 24C I ended up having to get some antiwalk pins. For mags I have a couple of 40s, and a couple of 30s. I would prefer to reload to the 30s if that's an option. I have one 20 just in case I need something shorter for a stage. I am currently using the Springer Precision plus 10 extensions and they are working perfectly. I have used a SIG Romeo 4B (similar to the holosun) and a Romeo3 (similar to a C-more RTS2 but not so breaky). I am sticking with the Romeo3 because the lense seems a bit larger and doesn't have any knobs or anything else like knobs on the side to adjust its view. The Romeo4 worked well but seemed like the lens was a bit small. I am very happy with the Romeo3 for USPSA distances. If not using that then I think I would want a dot with a larger lens. At 3 Gun Nation it looked like it would have been an advantage to run a variable power scope on PCC.
  3. I am using the Springer Precision .375" now. I think those sit in the hand and reload better than the Springer .25" or the Obsidians. I have run Obsidian Arms extensions in the past I love that they match the grip profile, extend the grip, and fill the wing but the larger hump on the front of the magazine changes the angle of the magazine in your hand and doesn't sit in mine quite as well as the Springers. Nothing you can't adjust to of course; both are nice. If you do the Obsidians, don't get the full ones that extend the grip on the back side. They don't sit well on table starts and I think that area in the back doesn't help, it just has the potential to get in the way.
  4. I don't like the Apex flat. It just doesn't feel good to me. The Grayguns flat has a bit more bevel on the sides and feels pretty good.
  5. I answered over on the SIG Forum. No Production legal flat triggers for the the P320 at this time.
  6. There is no Production legal flat trigger option at this time. The Apex doesn't come on any SIG factory gun and is not available from them. There is one prototype flat trigger that resembles the Legion SAO. That is what was being shown on the P320 Target. It's not available and not Production legal. Grayguns also has a flat trigger design and that's what I run on my 3 Gun pistol. That is also not Production legal at this time. If the P320 Target or equivalent ships with a flat trigger then that would be a legal option for other P320s once it is added to the Production gun list.
  7. SIG isn't hurting. It's demand for P320s has been pretty overwhelming so it seems that its been busy pushing out backordered product versus adding to the pile. Not before nor am I now in any position to make any promises but I still think we will still see a Production oriented competition gun. I won't speculate as to timing.
  8. I picked up a vertex Gambit EDC off of a prize table that does the job nicely and I have been impressed with the quality.
  9. Yeah, I posted that video to Hiperfire's page.
  10. I should add that about 150 rounds into my first range session my trigger started burst firing. Turns out that the hammer pin was walking out. Replaced the pins with some KNS and it's been good so far.
  11. Right now I am running a 24C. Taran Butler is also apparent running a Hiperfire. I think he is using the 3 Gun model. I asked Hiperfire about whether their triggers are compatible. They said they hadn't done formal testing but they think that the extra spring setup might function similar to the factory trigger bridge that SIG uses on the stock trigger.
  12. Running a Hiperfire right now. Timney 2-stage should work a well.
  13. I just switched from a SIG Romeo4b back to a SIG Romeo3 on the co-witness riser. The Romeo4b was good but the field of view on the Romeo3 is more more open since there is less scope body around the lense to block vision. The dot is also a bit more crisp and the lense a bit more clear. I also really like the auto sleep feature on the SIG optics since I never have to worry about whether I remembered to turn them off. Looks like my first PCC match will be 3 Gun Nation Nationals in a couple of weeks.
  14. The two-tone are back in stock at Cabela's. You can order online and have it shipped to the closest Cabela's store to you. http://www.cabelas.com/product/sig-sauer-reg-p320-pistol/2358450.uts?Ntk=AllProducts&searchPath=%2Fcatalog%2Fsearch.cmd%3Fform_state%3DsearchForm%26N%3D0%26fsch%3Dtrue%26Ntk%3DAllProducts%26Ntt%3Dp320%2B%26x%3D10%26y%3D6%26WTz_l%3DHeader%3BSearch-All%2BProducts&Ntt=p320+ Here is a black in stock for $750. The product code for the black version is 320F-9-BSS-RX http://www.sportsmansoutdoorsuperstore.com/products2.cfm/ID/175958/320f9bssrx/sig-sauer-p320-full-size-9mm-wromeo1-reflex-sight
  15. Here is a link to my review of the P320 RX: http://teamsigsauer.com/sig-p320-rx-review-ready-to-rock-optic-equipped-pistol/ I shot it at a second match last night. Still getting used to it but it's performing well. I have about 2500 rounds on this one.
  16. Max brightness on the R1 looks to be around 6-7/9 on the Romeo1. Let me see if I can get a picture comparing the lens Comparing the two, there is a bit more of a tint to the R1 lens. Not nearly as bad as an RMR but next to the R3 you can tell a bit of difference. The dot is good but the R3's dot looks slightly more crisp. I might need to clean off the R1's lens a bit too since I have been shooting it a lot. Both are 3 MOA. Sorry for the blurry cellphone pics. I might be able to get some better ones outside tomorrow.

  18. Not glue. There is actually a great story that goes along with that and the following article: https://primaryandsecondary.com/the-sig-sauer-p320-rx-review/ I lent my gun to a local guy who was attending a Pat Rogers memorial event full of lots of mil/le/faceshooter types. They had been very skeptical of the Romeo1 and wanted to see it first hand. What I didn't realize is that a few there were going to be testing its durability using the gun that I plan to shoot for the next six months. I send my contact a message to ask how it was going and how the dot was holding up since I expected that they were going to be shooting it and he said, "Haven't run it hard other than jamming the optical into a plastic table 20 times.....dot is still on. " So while smashing my Romeo1 repeatedly into the plastic table with a metal frame they discovered that the lens protrudes ever so slightly further than the front of the housing so it was taking the full force of the "single handed manipulation drills." What you are seeing are the small cracks that ensued. Now, a couple of caveats: 1. I don't know too many USPSA shooters who do that and I certainly would not have done that myself or given it to someone else to do. 2. The damage caused would be covered by SIGs Infinite Guarantee so if I were a regular customer I could work with SIG's customer service to get it replaced for free. 3. The dot didn't miss a beat. It remains zeroed, the dot has never failed, it's still on the original battery, and it's going strong 2,500 rounds post that incident. 4. When they made the discovery we dropped a note to the SIG Optics guys who actually already have a design to increase the strength of that housing up front in case any more Timmies decide to that it looks like a great charging handle to use against large inanimate objects. SIG's says they are targeting the new housing for early next year, but for our game I consider it a non-issue and am actually impressed that it took the abuse and still functions perfectly. Let me know if that makes sense or if you have anymore questions about it. I have a three-page write up on the Romeo1 and the RX that will be coming out Monday and will share it here when it drops.
  19. Sorry about the dirty lenses and desk. Here is a C-more slide ride, the Romeo1, and the Romeo3
  20. measuring the lense inside the housing the Romeo1 is 28.45mm x 18.10mm
  21. Robert King at Red Hill Tactical makes holsters for third gun and most others. Definitely my favorite USPSA holsters.
  22. It's possible. Something like 12 years ago I initially set up an "Open" Glock with a slide ride. It hangs way off the back and I put some skate tape on the rear of the scope so I could grab onto it like a charging handle. As opposed to the frame mounted methods, I didn't have to worry about ejection port clearance so that was nice. It seemed to hold up fine after like 1,000 rounds of major 9. I ended up going with the the frame mount since adding 3 oz of mass to the slide made the gun cycle slower and flip more. It was just harder to keep the dot settled than it would have been with a frame mount. It's also quite a bit taller than the other options that are out there now for slide mounting. I still have the C-More and it's still working pretty well all things considered. I would never want to go this route again if I had another option. It's just too big.
