  1. It is really quite simple, Aim low and Bang, dead chrono. It works best when the sun is going down and you are trying to get that last load checked.
  2. This is why I will never own a " Shoot over the electronics " chrono. And yes I killed one too. All of my current chrono's are shoot over screen chrono's. 1. CED Millenium 2. Oehler 35P 3. Pact timer Mk 4 Timer Chrono, currently in need of repair.
  3. I voted 150+ thinking one way also. I guess like to since I have 332000 miles on my truck, and I'm the one who put them there.
  4. Powder Valley just had 3 pallets of Zero bullets sent to them. Don't know if they have them yet or if they are in transit.
  5. The only helo I've flown in is an SH-2 Seasprite. It was not the best helo for just riding around in.
  6. I have heard that half of all marriage ends in divorce, but the other half ends in death. Sorry couldn't help my-self.
  7. I have a 1050 and load 38sc and 9mm on it, works great. At Dawson Precision ( see thread for loading bench to see set up ) we load 38s, 40 &45 on 3 1050's and 9mm on a super 1050. It seems kind of silly to load the smallest round on the press with the biggest capacity, but they all work fine. So get the one that is available for the best price, don't fear buying used.
  8. As far as I know, there was only one frame size for the super. Mags are available from Henning at http://www.henningshootsguns.com/ and also from EAA. Hennings mags are tunned with different followers and base pads. I know of no reason to buy the pistol and enjoy your journey to the Dark Side.
  9. Jiff crunchy, followed by any of the natural style crunchy, although the jars are too small. The generic store brand crunchy is worse than no PB so I'd take smooth over that s__t. I've never had homemade mayo so I don't know what I'm missing.
  10. Marble Falls, Tx ( about 50 mi west of Austin ) got 18 in. in less than 24 hours. We would love to send some rain to those in need.
  11. Vlad got me hooked on that series...... .....it's my little sanity break from textbooks..... The latest book in the 1632 series, 1634 The Baltic War, has a CD in it with all the previous 1632 books and others on it.
  12. Oh come on. Everybody knows it's the lawyers that are the problem.
  13. Huston in Austin from this day forward you will also be known as Foxing Magician.
  14. I liked a 155 swc and WST. I used around 7.0 gr. I got a load sheet from Vic International. I can probably find it and scan a pdf if you need it. Just send my an e mail.
  15. I used a large Black and Decker Workmate with a plywood top as a bench for a year or so. The top was two pieces of 3/4 or so and screwed to the frame of the workmate. The step on the bottom was made into a shelf to hold bullets. Worked ok. So I think your mobile saw table should work as well.
  16. The one armed man will do it, but Dr Kimbel will get the blame. OK so I don't watch tv, but I do read a lot.
  17. Z, With the Kiss you can load so fast that you never realized how long it takes to keep the case feeder, bullet feeder and primer feed full. You practically need to have another person to keep the machine full of supplies! I can now load 100 rounds in 3 minutes. If you could sustain that speed, without having to refill the components, you could load 2,000 rounds in an hour. With enough primer tubes and components at your side 1,500-1,700 is doable in an hour. I was able to load 100, refill the primer tube and load 1 more in 2 min 53 sec on a 1050 w/ kiss feeder. I think I could keep it up 'till I run out of components.
  18. Actually, just about every gun that goes through the shop. The only ones that don't get test fired are the ones that don't get anything done to them. The customized and custom guns get shot a bunch, and I get to load most the ammo. We still need to get the radio hooked up, and the refrigerator. :-)
  19. They are. Akro Bins -Chet Just got some more of the big red ACRO bins in. More brass to put away. Also Chet didn't get a picture or the tumbler. Although most folks call it a cement mixer. 75 lbs of corn cob media and 3 bottles of Chrome cleaner and polish are a little more than most tumblers hold. It will clean a whole lot of brass though.
  20. You have to anodize it red for it to work with that config. It does look good though.
  21. Bulk powder, primers and bullets are kept in the grey metal cabinets beneath the presses. Primers and powder for loading are on the shelves behind the presses. Bullets for loading are in the KISSs. The sloped countertops is for the sole purpose of keeping spilt powder off of the work area. Dave hates cleaning up the powder that inevitably spills (especially with 9mm Major loads), so this is his practical solution. -Chet Who makes those bins for the brass? They look like ACRO bins on steroids. They are.
  22. The 25mm bushmaster chain gun has a similar ejection pattern. Seems to work for it. Oh it makes major as well.
  23. Diesel has stayed about the same here in the Austin area. Now it is the least expensive thing they pump. I won't say cheapest, ain't none of it cheap. I filled up today and it was an even $100.00.
  24. I did e-mail Bob, he is the one that told me it would be june, before he even got a edge in, much less worked it. And he required $400 down to reserve one. I am going to wait.My xd tactical should here Friday. Thanks for the suggestion though. Have you called Dawson Precision? I haven't looked at the board that they list inventory on, but They have a standing order with STI to get a certain number of pistols each month. That includes tru-bores as wall as just about everything else. It is a toll free number so it can't hurt to call and ask.
  25. I had a frame that had a serial # that started with SS____. It was a Tripp frame. Both of the frames that start with ST____ are STI frames with an Austin address. I did see a gun built on a frame that started with a single "S" and had 2 digits after it. Supposedly belonged to somebody involved with the development of the tooling to make the grips and frames
