  1. I got the competition seating die in 9mm and the whole set in 38 super from midway.
  2. I had a flat plugged. It was a Z rated tire on the rear. I managed to throw the plug out while driving in the Extra Legal speed range. Pulled over and changed the tire. There was no fixing that one.
  3. I don't know if anybody noticed it or not, but at the 2:00 mark or so, the shooter is Sgt James Gill, USMC. The black thing on his right leg is a prosthetic foot & ankle. He moves very well on that thing. GO James!
  4. Check Hennings store. He lists 3 in stock. They are on the mag page.
  5. I think Jim Clark Sr didn't like FLGRs, but every gunsmith I've used did like them.
  6. I last shot with Tim in the early 90's. He was running the SMPSA. He would drive over to Mobile and shoot with us and several of us would make the long treck to shoot with him. He was a great guy and will be missed.
  7. +1. Don't forget to turn it off either. Been there, done that.
  8. I had a hybrid 45 built on a SV frame. It had a CP frame cut. It would feed anything as long as the OAL was under 1.250. It really liked 155 lswc loaded hot. It didn't have any problem with the old speer 200 gr flying ashtrays either.
  9. If I was shooting my 9mm open gun I'd shoot once fired, If I was shooting a 38 SuperComp I'd shoot Multi fired.
  10. Leaving who is better out of it, Call both and see who might have it in stock. I visit Dawson's frequently. Today for a computer communications problem. And Dawson has a large inventory of STI pistols. I have never been to Brazos and He might have a large inventory as well. So call both and see who can get it to you quicker.
  11. I really hope EAA stands behind the product. I'm gonna call on Monday and see what they can do. Upon further inspection...when looking down the barrel you can see the where the 1st comp port is obstructing the path of the bullet. This is shaving small pieces of the jacket off and surely degrading accuracy. Hopefully I can just send them the barrel and they send me a new one. They should be able to ream the comp and fix it. It shouldn't require replacement. But I'm not a gunsmith and don't play one on tv. If they do replace the barrel and comp they are going to want the gun.
  12. Actually I have one, but it about the only other one I've seen. I got it for a 22 conversion.
  13. STI used to make a single stack grip. It was a modified grip with a different mag release and plates pinned in the mag well to reduce the size down to fit a ss mag. I don't know when they stopped making them.
  14. Jamie can I join? I have 5 open guns going back to a TRI framed one. Also I'm helping to seduce limited shooters to the DARK SIDE.
  15. Get us a picture of it so we can keep an eye out.... It's a Dawson hardchromed Open gun with "Spicy Meatball Series" inscribed on the slide. Can't miss it. It is also a mini-gun stroker. Two ports in the barrel I think. Was built with both a 38 super barrel and a 9mm barrel, if I remember correctly.
  16. All the primers I have set off in presses have been due to " Ringers ". The end of the cup and the anvil are punched out but the side walls stay. I now prefer processed brass or my own.
  17. My last trip to pick up bullets brought my on hand stock up to 25K 125 JHP and 5K 115 JHP. I decline to talk about primers and powder because my local police chief is on this forum and might tell the fire chief.
  18. No No No, get a scroll compressor. Much better.
  19. My vote goes to Black! However, I remember you talking about two different grips...one to put putty on and mold and the other meant to stay as it is. Is it still your plan to do that or are you going to stick with the current grip you are working on and a "presentation" grip. I thought an inexpensive aluminum base to putty up would be a good option. Just rough and flat so you can do what you want. No need for making it pretty since it's going to be covered. I still place my vote with black anodizing. A matching magwell.....a BIG ONE? Here is my $02 on the magwell subject: If you can make one like the ICE without any patent infringement that would be great. The plastic insert on ICE's saves mag lips and it can be replaced easily. Okay, we will probably not see that since it requres molding and would be very expensive, but BIG is still the way to go. Again, that's just my $.02 worth. Have fun skiing and but then back to work! The ICE inserts are machined delrin.
  20. Yes thanks, but I think that Caspian make a better slide, so if I can, I would rather get one of those. What do you guys think? SVI or Caspian? Call Dawson. He usually has slides in stock.
  21. There is a guy in San Antonio that makes a rubber band Gatling gun. http://www.backyardartillery.com/whassat/82500
  22. I got a set of Redding Competition Dies with the anniversary pricing. It saved a bit.
  23. 19 this morning according to Accuweather.
  24. I'm guessing it was a lost brass match.
