  1. Just got it in from Brownells. Can't get that 30th round of 38SC into my big stick, but then again it only held 29 before anyway ;-) Still 29 was easy.
  2. I have an STI that has the rails machined into the dust cover. It looks like it should be a very simple job for a machinist. The locking notch needs to be cut for the model light you want to use. The X200 and the Streamlight use the same dimensions. The expensive Surefire lights like the milspec use a slightly different location. If I wanted to get it done I would find a local machine shop and show them the light and the frame.
  3. I drove 450 miles this weekend burning diesel all the way and released captive lead and copper back into nature. Also charred hot dogs over flame at the range. Hurry up global warming!

Try boat supply, Bilge pump may help.
  6. You need the slide ride scope. You may be able to order the scope mount with the 4 hole pattern to match the holosight holes.
  7. The copper base of the JHP is better than the lead base of the FMJ.
  8. First of all, I'm not the orig. owner so I'm not sure the warranty is still in force. Second, my other guns are all STI open guns that range from 5 in, ports and no ports to a Dawson Mini-gun Stroker ( which is short slide & barrel but increased slide travel ) so I don't know how I would like the Gold Team lighter. Of course it is hard to put the dust cover back on after it gets milled off. I guess I'll shoot it as it is until I can gather up enough pennies for a 2007 GT. Thanks for the info, Huston
  9. Howdy, I see from the pic of your Gold Team that it has a short dust cover. What is the weight difference with the dust cover shortened? Did you shorten yours or did it come that way?
  10. They are aluminum, so get them anodized. Or KG Gunkote comes in lots of colors.
  11. Just to add to the appreciation of Dillon service, I broke the main shaft on a 1050 that has to be more than 10 years old. They wouldn't let me pay for the part. What a great company.
  12. Frozen Dihydrogen Monoxide...the worst kind! Its coming down in Solid, Semi- solid and Liquid form. I'll bet there is some of the Gaseous form lurking around as well. I moved to Texas to try to get away from this s__t. Any one know if they need a machine tool repairman in Central America oh yea they have to shoot IPSC of course.
  13. Durn your hide, Lee... Here I am two hours after reading your post and checking out the web site @ 1632 by Eric Flint - Baen Books - Chapter 12 I WILL finish this online book before I sleep.... Hey since were almost neighbors, in the Texas sense, want to borrow the hardbound sequels?
  14. You know, I've never thought about it, but I've been reading sci-fi and fantasy for about 40 years myself. My first sci-fi book was called Earthblood a novel of intergalactic distances describing, among other things, how the pure-blooded earthling was almost a thing of the past and the story of one who was (even though he didn't know it at the time.) I wish I could remember the Authors name. I'd like to find it again someday. dj http://www.amazon.com/Earthblood-Keith-Laumer/dp/0671720600

  16. Thousands die each year from simply inhaling this dangerous, even deadly compound. It must be regulated/banned
  17. I've tried a number of comps, but all of my STI's have a Dawson comp on them. I have a hybri-comp top end that isn't on any thing for the moment and it has a 9 port EGW on it, but when/if it gets built into something new it will probably get a Dawson comp as well.
  18. The book out in July, A Deeper Blue, has been available for some time as a E-book from the Pub. It is an " ARC " Advanced Readers Copy. I've gotten several of, well ok most of his books that way for the last several years. I hate waiting for books. Of course I buy the Hard cover as well. I don't mind reading off a monitor, but I prefer paper. In September he is scheduled to release another book, I said he writes fast. Baen has also included CD's with the some hard cover books. The CD contains the E-book copies of all the Authors book and usually others as well. The publisher allows the CD to be copied and given away but not sold. The CD's are available for download free from http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/
  19. John Ringo is also a fast writer. He can and has written half a dozen books in a year. Ghost was published in Oct 05 and now there are five books in that series. He has also written other books during that time. Dave Webber is also a favorite of mine. Military Sci-fi and fantasy. Eric Flint has a good series in the 1632 series.
  20. I've tried some of the cheap CR1/3n batteries from e-bay. I didn't like them at all. I have used the CR1/3N's from Microbattery and they are very good. As good as the Energizers or Duracells. I went with the Maxell a-76 batteries 'cause I tend to leave the damn C-more on after dry fire and would rather kill 65 cents worth of batteries then 2 or 3 dollars worth. I can't seem to locate Huston's $35 special, but this seems to be 100 for $20: Atomic LR44/A76 Batteries -Chet http://shopping.microbattery.com/s.nl/it.A...&category=1
  21. I've loaded several thousand Fed 9mm nt. I had no problems at all.
  22. I found a deal for the 1.5 v A76 ( LR44 ) batteries. I paid 35.00 for 100 of them. now I change C-More batteries 2 times a month and I figure I can keep doing it for the next couple of years. http://www.microbattery.com/ Look under special offers. About 1/2 way down the page on the right.
  23. I used a Bridgeport type mill a 1/2 end mill long enough to cut in one pass. I took about 30 - 40 thou a pass and didn't get in a hurry, but I'm not a machinist. I just fix machines.
